Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Duo

I have the duo which contains the shade "Sugar Fix" a gorgeous powder blue. The duo is affordably priced and I love the idea of the gel polish coming with the top coat that sets it - it's very convenient and also makes a great gift idea. The polishes are labelled step 1 (nail polish) and step 2 (top coat) to also keep it super clear how to use the Duo. The nail polish comes in a large sturdy glass bottle with a black lid. The top coat comes in a fully silver bottle which looks very cool! The nail polish is quite thick so does take a while to dry. I only needed about one coat to get the colour to full opacity. The shade is so gorgeous and stands out. The top coat is easy to apply and quite forgiving. Other gel top coats I have tried tend to go glue-like too quickly and are hard to apply, but this doesn't dry too quick which allows touch up of any mistakes. The gel coat also sets in a decent amount of time, others leave my nails sticky for ages so this is easy to work with but won't take ten years to dry. The top coat is hyper glossy, and it did leave my nails looking like I had gels done in the salon! I found this lasted longer than traditional polish and didn't chip as quickly. However, it didn't last 8 days without chipping as promised, probably more like 5 (I type all day for work so my nails do chip quickly). This is also easy to remove, which isn't common with most gel polishes so that's another bonus. I've often found at home gel polishes to be a bit rubbish, so I was really pleased this was easy to use, performed well, and looked good. I wouldn't call it a miracle as the name implies, but this is a decent starter duo for doing gel nails at home and beginner friendly!
