A Must Have

This eyeliner I was skeptical about as have always been old fashioned using a pencil liner. I purchased this product yesterday and had to try it the moment I walked in the door. Great it comes with its own applicator brush and instructions on how to apply. Mind you you really do not need the instructions as this is so easy and user friendly to apply. Dare I even say it is easier than a pencil. The line the brush draws is even and fabulous coverage. No rubbing back and forth , just paint the lines you require. I do not think I would go back to using the pencil again. Cleaning up is a breeze. Just wipe the brush with a clean tissue after each use.

Great Gel Liner

Gel liners are definitely my go-to liner product and, for the price, the Rimmel ScandalEyes one does an amazing job. Very smooth and easy to apply, lasts most of the day without smudging, great colour. Not a huge fan of the brush that comes with so I use a different one,

Tips: The brush that comes with isn't great so would recommend using a different liner brush.

Little Beauty!

I love gel eyeliner! I find it is the quickest and easiest way for me to do my eyes and get a nice line. I usually use maybelline eye studio gel but decided to buy this when I saw it on sale.

It comes in a cute small glass pot with a black lid and a crown on top. You need to make sure the lid is screwed on tightly after every use or it will dry out and you won't be able to use it. It is a lovely creamy consistency and a nice deep black colour.

It comes with a small applicator brush but I actually prefer to use a brush of my own. Make sure you clean the brush each time or it will go hard and crusty. It glides on smoothly and evenly, you don't need a huge amount as a little definitely goes a long way. It is highly pigmented. I can do my upper and lower lash line with ease and make it as thick or thin as I like. It doesn't flake or smudge at all. Once it is set it does not budge!

This lasts all day until I go to remove it. Coconut oil works well, rub a little over the eyeliner and it literally melts off. Super quick and easy. This is a fabulous gel liner and I would definitely repurchase it. If you have trouble using liner pens or pencils then I definitely recommend trying this out.

Simply Scandalous

I was on the search for something a bit different to use for eyeliner rather than the age old pencil or liquid liner. That is when I stumbled across this Rimmel Scandal Eyes Gelpot Liner in my local Farmers store. I paid the full RRP for this but $18 to me is normal for eyeliner. At first glance I could already tell that it would last me a long while so value for money is definitely there. The pot itself is clear and has a black screw top lid which keeps the product from drying. It's quite fitting that there is a crown on top of this gel liner because it's a jewel in it's own right. I know it's the Rimmel brand but to me a crown goes on top of something that is great and deserving and this certainly is!

It comes with an application brush which for me is a little too thick so I bought the Real Techniques eyeliner brush which I find is far easier to use. It has less bristles and seems far easier to use to get perfect lines. The consistency of the gel is velvety smooth almost like cream eyeshadow or blush. The concept of painting my eyeliner on is quite novel but I trudge on, excited about the outcome. I start with minimal product on my brush so that I don't end up with blobs of gel liner on my lids. I start from the inside of my eye lid and carefully pull the brush along my lid to create a perfect line. I get a perfect line almost every time with the exception of the few times when my hand has been unsteady. It's quite pigmented and stands out no sweat. I often need to re-dip to get the same amount of product across the lid. I got this gel liner in black but brown is also available for those who prefer something not so intense and harsh.

The stay power and smudge proof promises are definitely fulfilled with this. I went to town early in the morning and then out to tea straight afterwards and my eyeliner was still flawless. I was so anxious about it staying that every hour or so I would check in my phone camera to make sure there were no panda eyes! Thank gosh it stayed in place. All my skepticism was put t rest after this. I put it to the ultimate test by wearing it on my lower lash line. This is a tricky place because it's close to my tear ducts and also because my eyes get irritated by products at time. I used less this time so my eyes didn't sulk too much. Shopping trip to town for three hours and my gel liner is still perfect!! I am all in with a grin. I am a fan and a believer, I just wish it came in more statement colours like purple and turquoise. My life then would be complete hehe

Tips: If like me you prefer a smaller and more precise brush try the Real Techniques eyeliner brush

First gel i used

This was the first gel liner i used! I liked the brush it came with but it ended up fraying slightly but it was still usable. The product was great, a very opaque black and easy to apply and you don't need to use a huge amount of product. The product did seem to dry out quite quickly which was unfortunate as i hadn't left the lid off at all. In saying that i would definitely keep using this product!

Easy breezy

I was a bit skeptical about using a gel liner because I’d always used a pencil or liquid pen before, but I was very curious and decided to give this product a go. I like the price and packaging caught my eye so I picked it out at Farmers and took it home.

It came with a little applicator brush but I found one of my other brushes much easier to use and eventually lost the one it came with. Application was nice and smooth, the product wasn’t too thick and made a neat little line.

The reason I love this product so much and would recommend to anyone is that it’s so long lasting! A problem I had with the pencils and liquid pens was that they eventually smudged into my eye lid or down onto my lower lash line, thus the reason I was looking at new products to try. This gel eyeliner stayed in place all day and only came off at the end of the night with my usual makeup remover. It didn’t budge at all, so it really does what it claims to do.

Super happy with Rimmel’s products in general. Nice and affordable and trusty!

Tips: Start with a nice thin line and build up
