Dr Lewinn's Ultra R4 Collagen Firming Face Mask Review

I have to say I love Dr Lewinn's products although often outside my budget so was so happy when this was included in the 2023 Beauty box I bought. The mask was easy to apply although the nose a little large however it is hard to fit all faces and as masks go was easy to apply.It had so much product in it was dripping but that is so much better that not having enough I feel . I left the mask on for the full 20 minutes which did seem a long time compared to other masks I have used however my skin felt amazing afterwards so well worth the time involved.My skin has felt so amazing for days since using and all the dry areas have gone and my skin has a nice glow which is so hard to achieve on my skin so I am so delighted.Yes it is dearer than a lot of masks but it is so much better.I will be looking for this if it is on special as I would love to use this every week.

I was happy to pick this up in a beauty vault. The sheet mask comes in a foil package that feels oddly cool to touch. The mask is well protected by outer layers that need to be peeled of before use.

This mask is quite a good fit, a little bit big in the nose and chin area but still very usable compared to some other sheet masks. Beware though there is a lot of product on these masks and they do drip. I like to rub the extra gel onto my neck and decolletage. The instructions say to leave it on for 20 minutes which seemed long enough. It had a lovely cooling effect while on my skin which I found rather relaxing. The effects of this mask where immediate. It left my skin feeling very hydrated and calm. No redness or tightness and I believe my skin benefited for several days after using.

I would definitely repurchase this mask again however would try and get it on special.

Dr Lewinn's Ultra R4 Collagen Firming Face Mask is a luxurious gel-like sheet mask that uses Bio-Cellulose technology, which means the mask acts like a second skin and is supposed to adhere better to the face.

To start, I exfoliated my face and then cleansed with my usual foaming cleanser. I like to exfoliate before doing a face mask, as I want the benefits of the mask to sink into the fresh skin cells on my face and not any accumulated layers of dry, dead skin. It's just personal preference, but I feel that masks work better on me if I exfoliate first.

Next, I removed the single use mask from the sachet and peeled away one side of the protective mesh film (the sheet mask is sandwiched between two stiff protective sheets). I applied the wet, gel side of the face mask to my face and used my fingertips to smooth it out as well as I could before removing the outer mesh film. Once that was off, I gently repositioned the mask with my fingertips, smoothing it out and making sure that it hugged my face as well as it could (the jelly-like mask doesn't stick very well around the edges and it tends to flap).

The fit of the mask wasn't perfect, but I expected that, as I'd tried Dr Lewinn's Vitamin & Mineral Mask a few months before. Again, the eye holes were okay, the nose was a little too long, which meant that the mouth hole ended up sitting over my bottom lip and chin. I had to push the bottom of the mask up a little, which created uncomfortable creases on my cheeks and ended up riding up under my bottom eyelashes, but it was only for 20 minutes. A little discomfort wasn't a huge problem.

After 20 minutes I removed the sheet mask, placed it back in the original packaging and threw all of it away. These masks are single use and cannot be reused. There was a lot of liquid left on my face, and even though the instructions on the sachet said to massage any remaining liquid from the sachet into your skin, there was far too much liquid for me to do that. I just massaged the ample residue left on my face into my skin.

I much preferred this Collagen mask to the Vitamin & Mineral mask. My skin looked and felt really good for a few days after using this one mask. I'd definitely purchase another one of these in the future, but I'm not really sure if I'd commit to using it twice a week for the first month, and then whenever needed thereafter (as per the instructions on the packaging). I saw so many benefits just from using it once, that I'd rather use one of these whenever I feel my skin needs a boost.

I was super stoked to get this in the beauty vault.  I have never tried any Dr Lewinns products before so really wanted this. It comes in an attractive foil packet which you easily rip open. Instructions are on the back and are simple to follow.

The mask was drenched in product,  it dripped a little so I suggest doing this over the bathroom sink. It has a really faint scent. You need to peel off the first layer then fit to your face, this is definitely a great fit for me, in fact one of the best I have ever used. Once applied you need to peel off the top layer.

The mask itself is cool,  it feels like a thin jelly. It is super comfortable and not restrictive at all. I left this on for 20 mins then removed it easily, there was a bit of serum left on my face which I rubbed in, it was sticky for a bit but dried down in about 10 minutes. I have sensitive skin and got no tingling or irritation at all.

The results are amazing,  my forehead lines are significantly reduced and my skin looks super plump and healthy. The dry patches are all gone and my face feels super soft. The following day my skin looked amazing. My makeup applied beautifully and I had an amazing glow. It did not cause any breakouts at all. I absolutely love this mask, it is definitely a bit more than I would usually pay for a mask but for a treat every now and then I would certainly purchase.

This mask came in a BBBE. I've used a Dr Lewinns mask before and liked it so I was looking forward to trying this one. It was easy to remove it from the foil pack, which was a good start. Then, for some reason, the mask came out absolutely dripping with product. I notice this a lot with masks and can't help wondering if it's absolutely necessary as it's kind of annoying. It was so slimey that it didn't adhere to my face as well as it might have if it had a bit less product on it. The mask itself was about the size of my face and fitted pretty well size-wise.

So anyway, I left it on for the recommended 20 minutes then washed my face. I have to say, my skin does feel more firm and hydrated,so it does do what it says it will do. I used the drips to rub into my neck so mostly the overflow didn't get wasted. And my neck can use all the help it can get!

Overall a very good mask, as the results were great and it does do what it says it will do, albeit with a bit more enthusiasm product-volume wise than I'd like. I recommend it to others to try.
