Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Review

Absolutely LOVE this moisturizer! I feel like I'm starting to sound a little like a broken record for Clinique products but I just find that they are amazing and do exactly what they promise and this is another one of their awesome products.

First off, the name!! Something about hearing 'moisture surge extended thirst relief' just sounds like a delicious drink for my skin which exactly what I want! Great marketing but it also lives up to its name;

This moisturizer comes in a pretty jar, I love the silver/clear packaging, I think it looks fancy but still subtle. The product inside is a non-fragranced, apricot coloured gel-like substance. That description really doesn't do it any favours however this stuff is AMAZING!

Because this product is a gel, it goes on very lightly and soaks in almost straight away but still offers the perfect amount of hydration. For me this is great for my morning moisturizer as I find I can put makeup on straight away without having to wait for it to sink in. It also does not leave any kind of film.

This product is very pricey which is a downside, however I've had it for almost 3 months now and am only around 3/4 to halfway done. Because of the consistency I find I tend to use less than cream moisturizers, a little really does go a long way.

Overall this is a pricey moisturizer but I will repurchase - I absolutely love it! It does everything I want a moisturizer to do so that's a win in my books!

I have really dry skin, so when I saw this I had to buy it. Often moisturisers meant for dry skin can be quite greasy, which is okay for night time but isn't ideal for wearing under makeup in the morning. This is not like those other moisturisers - it's not at all greasy. It's really moisturising for my skin without being greasy - a dream come true. I don't find that it gives 24 hour hydration, I still moisturise morning and night but that's pretty much to be expected. The only things I don't like about this are the price, and also the jar packaging. Jars are just less hygenic, and it is a bit annoying to travel with the bulk as opposed to a tube, but I'll forgive them for that.

My skin is so so so so dry and flaky that no moisturiser can help it, but this one is the best that I've found it's light and moisturises so well, and leaves a super soft finish! Definitley one of the best moisturisers I've tried

This is such a fantastic, super hydrating moisturiser and another winner for me from Clinique. I received a jar of this as a GWP and my first impression was how luxurious the product looked in it's pretty glass jar with pale pink gel. Being someone with oily, acne-prone skin I normally go for medicated or oily-skin moisturisers instead so I'm glad I received this as but Moisture Surge really is for all skin types.

'Cream-gel' describes the formula well as it was lovely and light while being incredibly hydrating, my skin just drunk it in. I only needed to use a small amount of gel as well which is great as it meant my jar lasted a lot longer than a cream normally would for me.

I liked to use this at night and found this left my skin feeling lovely and soft without the greasy, heavy texture a lot of moisturisers can give. Also no breakouts which is a definate win for my skin!

I would happily use this product again and recommend it for anyone wanting a lightweight but nourishing moisturiser.

I'm a big fan of Clinique, especially for their amazing skincare products. I feel like I just can't go wrong when purchasing clinique products, they just seem made for my skin.

I already use the iconic three step system from Clinique which is amazing for my dry and sensitive skin. The dramatically different moisturiser is an absolute favourite of mine. And this little gem is now my equally favourite!

Firstly, the packaging is distinctively Clinique. In its stylsh glass jar, with a silver lid and silver writing. It just looks luxurious and high end. I like my Clinique products to be on display on my dresser, they all have a great look to them.

The consistency is like a gel, and its slightly pink. A little goes a long way and it feels so light and absorbs well into my dry skin. The name says it all, it definitely gives extended thirst to my skin. My skin feels so moisturised and silky soft after using this.

I find the hydration from this moisturiser is even slightly better than my dramatically different moisturiser. So when my skin is feeling like it needs some extra dose of moisture I apply this.

What I love about this product, and other Clinique products is that they are perfect for my sensitive skin type, never have I had a reaction from Clinique products. I can really trust they won't cause irritation like some other different branded products.

As others have said this is a rather expensive moisturiser, but definitely worth it in my opinion. It just really does the job it states it will do. If you want an extremely hydrating and fantastic moisturiser, this is the one.

Well, I'm definitely sold on this moisturiser - another holy grail product from Clinique.

I can't use this anymore because tested on animals however I can tell you now it is the most hydrating gel you can imagine! It is soothing, hydrating and moisturizing. Wish I could use it!

I stayed using this product about two months ago and I am in love! I have super dry and sensitive skin and in summertime it gets worse and I tend to over-moisturise my skin to ensure it didn't dry out. However with Moisture Surge I only have to apply a small amount of the lightweight gel to my skin and it is left feeling hydrated and healthy all day! A must for anyone with dry skin!

This stuff is amazing. I mostly use it in winter when my skin is dry, particularly around my nose. It's a gorgeous gel texture, not heavy at all, and sinks in rapidly. My skin absolutely drinks this stuff up. I like to layer it with a serum at night for maximum hydration. It's expensive but a little goes a long way. A favourite and forever repurchase for me!

I already use the 3 step skin care. I have this also and use it at night as my night cream. It has really helped improve my very dry skin. It is also really nice to wear under make up as it isn't heavy and greasy. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and moisturised. Would highly recommend for anyone that has very dry skin like myself

My skin is very dry and I am rather anal about using products on it to try to keep it from getting too dry. This sounded right up my alley - the words 'moisture surge' made my dry skin very excited haha.

I like to use this as a moisturiser in the morning before I apply my makeup. The consistency is like a gel and it has a light, fresh scent that is only just detectable. Only a small amount of this is needed to cover your whole face.

My skin absolutely drinks this in. After letting it sink in, my skin feels super hydrated and smooth. This is (unfortunately for my bank balance), the best moisturising product I have EVER used. If you have extremely dry skin I highly recommend trying this.

Even though it is super hydrating, it doesn't leave a film or sticky residue on your skin after applying. Your skin feels fresh and clean and youthful.

This is something that I am absolutely going to repurchase even though it is pricey. I believe skin care is the one item you should spend as much as you can if you find something that you really like. This is one of those products for me and I won't hesitate to purchase it.
