Really Makes you Pop

when this came out in August last year I couldnt wait to get my hands on this. Finally purchased it 1 month ago and I love it. I find that when I wear this on the tops of my cheeks you can really see the glow. Found it easy to apply with a fan brush.

Tips: Great Pop in the inner eye.

Jaclyn Hill can do no wrong by me

When the news broke that renowned video blogger Jaclyn Hill was collaborating with Becca to bring out a signature limited edition highlighter it was a done deal, lucky for me at that time of release Sephora was still accepting me as a customer and I was happy to get it on release day.

There is nothing fancy on the exterior of the compact, it shares it's appearance with all the other Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors (with the exclusion of rose gold which has a unique packaging) but the outside container, the packaging box was detailed in a soft champagne rose colour with bubble relief to mimic a glass of champagne bearing Jaclyn Hill's signature as did the inserted plastic cover on the inside of the compact that protected the pressed powder.

This perfector has a soft peach shade that has hues of gold to give that unique Champagne pop to your cheeks, being just subtle enough for my skin tone it can be a little too harsh if I am not careful,.being pale super intense highlighters can come off too dark. The formula is powder but it holds itself together with this almost creamy undertone that sees the transfer from compact to brush to skin be flawless with little to no fall out. Able to produce a beam of highlight with the use of heavy glitters, just the faint hint of a soft shimmer.

Giving my skin a soft sun kissed intense highlight pop of colour that stays intense all day to give you that high beam of light you desire, without breaking down into something that resembles an oil slick on the face, or does it fade losing it's shine, I like to use this as a cheekbone highlighter as well as incorporating into eye looks.

YES YES YES

This highlight is life.

Everything about this highlight is perfect (except maybe the price.....but it's worth it).

The perfect highlight to brighten up the parts of your face you want to make pop without making you look like a disco ball.

I use this on my cheek bones every day for a nice glow but is also perfect for the other high points of your face if you want that extra shine.

Great as a brow bone highlight and perfect for the inner corner to make you look wide awake!

Beautiful packaging with a clear mirror and a decent amount of product.

Product goes on to brush easily but make sure you tap off excess product if you want a subtle glow.

Obsessed with this (obviously) and so stoked it has become a permanent product! Will definitely re-purchase when I run out.

Tips: Apply blush AFTER and blend so there isn't a harsh line of shine.

Champagne Pop

Purchased from beautylish Used almost everyday. It comes in a tin like compact with a rubber edge. Formula is a creamy powder. I use a blush brush and apply to cheeks and temples. The product goes on the brush and skin well. You don't need much product on the brush.

I love the glow it leaves on my skin.

Tips: Be careful not to add alot to your skin as a little is alot

Shimmering Goddess

I had wanted to buy this for so long but I'll be honest - it is a but pricey for the average cheapskate.. Ahem, like myself.

BUT it is so worth it!

First impression was how cute the packaging was. It comes in a bronze, shiny box and the compact itself is beautiful. It is black with a metal part in the middle engraved with BECCA. The mirror inside was spotless and crystal clear.

The highlighter itself is very reflective and it is a very warm tone. It sits nicely on my skin and makes me feel like a magical, highlighted fairy. It photographs really well also.

I have a feeling that this compact will last me a very long time so it would be worth the price.

Love it.

Tips: Add a little and you can build up if you need to - Remember that it is easier to add on than take off!

Luminous glow

This shade was originally limited edition however it was a huge hit with the beauty lovers that since January this year it's officially part of Becca's permanent range. Its not a shade I haven't seen before but the results it gives when using the right application can really set you apart (as with anything that's done right by your skin tone / skin type).

It's packaged in Becca's signature sturdy compact with rubber edges, a metal lid with BECCA embossed on it and a good quality mirror. In the pan it comes off as a gentle peachy semi rose gold with very fine reflective shimmer. When I compare the pan to other highlighters I own I couldn't find a colour remotely close however it's not until I swatch it that I can identify that I do have existing dupes .

The powder is velvety smooth to swatch and the colour is true to pan. It blends out beautifully with very little fall out and the shimmer is just enough to give you that extra lift if the gorgeous sheen itself is just not doing it for you. What I love most about this highlighter is the luminosity and the colour pay off. Every angle you look at it there is luminosity and a gentle wash of colour (dependent on blending) and it looks beautiful.

On my skin tone I do have to be careful because building up the highlight (as I love to do) can make it look really unnatural. It's a highlight I can easily sheer out however the colour pigmentation is no joke so I have to go in with a light hand. I can get a good 6 hours of wear before the highlight begins to break away and fade.

One issue I have with this is that if my skin isn't looking too flash it tends to emphasise the texture of my skin and it's really not the kind of thing I want to put on blast to the world. It's not hard to manage, I just change the method of application. Instead of using a flat top kabuki or a tapered fluffy brush I go in with a fan brush and lightly skim the skin or I use a finishing spray or setting spray to soften the appearance of the highlight.

It's definitely one of my most pricey highlighters I own but out of Becca's range this would be one of their highlighters I would recommend purchasing. I feel that we're paying for a quality product that could work for a lot of people however if you want something more budget friendly with very similar results then possibly try Make Up Forever Pro Sculpting Duo Shade 2 or Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Vegas Strip (mix last 2 strips together).

Come THROUGH Highlight!

This is honestly my fave highlight. Firstly i love Becca packaging, the rubberyness of it I am really drawn to, despite it getting dirty easily. As you can tell by its name it is a gorgeous Champagne colour. It is very reflective on the skin and you can either light handedly pop it on or to to town. Either way it looks fab. I have quite fair skin and so I do have to be slightly careful not to apply too much as it is VERY pigmented. It is very finely milled and very soft too the touch. It blends nicely too so you don't have to worry about having a stripe on your face! This highlight does go with most makeup looks but not every one I do (as much as I wish it would haha) I highly recommend this highlight, even though it is pricey it is totally worth it!

A pop'in Collab

I am actually a big fan of collabs, especially when the outcome is a product I would actually use and so when I saw the Becca and Jaclyn Hill Collab was a stunning peachy gold highlighter, I had my credit card out ready to make this baby mine.

I brought this highlighter in the limited edition collab which also came with the Pearl and Blushes copper (I think that's the name), and so it is not packaged like the singular highlighter, but instead it comes in a slender palette, with three large pans in a row and a huge perfect sized mirror. Awesome.

This highlighter is a stunning colour, like the name says it has a champagne peachy gold colour to it and this colour is so flattering on most skin tones (I have tried it on a few people). I do find the formula slightly drier then other Becca highlighters I own, but it still looks stunning on the high points of my face and gives me a beautiful glow.

I am so glad they made the collab a permanent addition to the Becca collection, and if I ever hit pan.. It is a colour that I would repurchase.

Favourite highlighter

This product is glorious. It is the perfect final touch of my makeup routine, transforming a great makeup look to high-end glam instantly. The colour should suit most, if not all skin types.

Tips: Swipe along t-zone as well as upper cheekbones for whole-face luminosity.
