Knotty no more

My hair is thin and knots incredible quickly, wet or dry, so this brush is actually a miracle. I have used tangle teasers in the past but the no handle design made it hard for me to use, especially the back of my head where I get the most tangles therefore I discontinued using them. The bristle design on this brush is similar, but the addition of a handle has made this brush my new holy grail. I first used this brush on my dry hair, just to get rid of a couple knots and after 1 pass through my hair, at most 2 in the worst place, my hair was tangle free. After using on dry hair, I tried it just as I got out of the shower, same thing. 1 or 2 passes through my hair and it was tangle free, with minimal pulling and I was also able to easily reach the back of my head. Deciding to put the brush through the paces, I went swimming at the beach, got my hair wet and when I got home attempted to brush it out. I found that it did have more trouble untangling my hair when it was filled with salt and sand, but a couple of extra passes and i was able to run my fingers through with no knots. This brush worked so well on my hair, there was minimal breakage and the design was easy to use. Removing the hair that was left in the brush was also easy, and due to the rubber bristles cleaning was quick and simple. The only thing I wish is that there were different colour options, as I would typically not buy a pink hairbrush!

Tips: Great for helping pull your hair into a pony tail because the large surface area gets most of your hair in one go!

A Pro At Detangling

When I received this brush and tried it for the first time I already knew I wanted to give it 5 stars. However to be fair and give it a good trial I wanted to test the brush in different ways, one which involved my 9 year old daughter.

The first thing I noticed was how light the brush was and such a great shape which made it super easy to hold and at the same time comfortable to use. The design is super cute but professional looking at the same time.

Test 1: Little Miss Avalon's Hair - The first time I tried the brush, I used it on my little girl. The reason I signed up for the trial was because of her. Her hair type is of a medium thickness and gets super knotty. It was easy to use on her hair, and usually she complains about her hair hurting no matter how gentle I try to be. She hardly complained and it did a very good job with her hardly flinching. Result: There was hardly any complaining what do you think? lol

Test 2: My Hair - Dry: Next I tried the brush on my hair when it was dry and I had just woken up, so it was kind of bird nesty and knotty. The brush was able to glide through the hair without hardly causing me to flinch. A couple of times it did catch and pull a bit but nowhere near as my usual Avon brush. Result: Very good on dry knotty hair.

Test 3: Wet/Washed Towel Dried Hair: Firstly I washed my hair (using the same products I always use to make sure I wasn't doing anything different than I normally do). After towel drying I used the brush and it just went through smoothly, no knots and it was fully brushed in about a minute. Pretty impressive.

Test 4: Used After Hair Drying: Now here is the true test. Usually when I dry my hair with a hair dryer it literally has a mind of its own and just looks like a big hot mess. Apart from a few pulls here and there, I hardly noticed I was even brushing it and I had to keep checking that it was even brushing my hair. And it certainly was.

Overall Results: This brush is amazing and is now our Holy Grail brush.

I highly recommend you get this brush for you, for your kids, for whoever. At this price it is a steal. Thanks so much Beauty Review for inviting me to trial this brush, we love it xx

Pleasantly surprised

I have always natural bore style brushes and hated plastic brushes, the teeth break, they are so bulky to use and I swear I can hear my hair screaming in pain & protest. BUT I'm happy to say I've been converted!!! The contour of the base was awesome as it felt like a hand was cupping a decent amount of my scalp. Due to the lower half of my hair been bleached and then coloured green, I'm inclined to only wash my scalp and leave the ends as dry as possible. This was a good test to see how the brush went because if I brush from the scalp with wet hair down to the dry ends it can cause a serious birds nest. The Mita TanglePRO went right through and I didn't hear a single bit of my hair snapping!!! With the soft rubber surrounding the handle was also ideal as this meant the brush didn't go flying out my hands and knock the cat out (yes this has happened before). Finally, the bristles, no breaking and most importantly no tangling, although it did make my hair beautifully smooth I do wonder if this brush is able to give volume?

Tips: If you have a sensitive scalp the teeth may be slightly uncomfortable, but you can brush your hair fine without touching your scalp

Blown Away

Before receiving this I had two hairbrushes in the house designed to deal to tangles. The first had flimsy prongs (for want of a better word) and did not a lot, the other got rid of tangles but it still caught on the hair and caused pulling and pain (and my daughter cringed whenever I pulled it out to use it on her fine and tangly hair - which she got from me...)

The Mita TanglePRO easily outstrips these two brushes in performance. It's bring pink and black colours makes it easy to find in amongst the bric a brac of our home. It's got a really nice weight to it and doesn't feel flimsy. The plastic 'prongs' are bendy, but sturdy. You don't feel like they're going to snap off.

Performance-wise? Wow. First of all, I LOVE the way it feels like you're getting a head massage when you brush your hair. It's quite special. On wet hair this brush zips through quickly and painlessly. On dry hair it obliterates tangles without any ows or tugging. My daughter? Hasn't complained once since I started using it. This is a miracle.

Would I recommend it? YES. Will I be buying another as a backup? YES.

Tips: If you've got tangle-prone kids buy a few to have stashed around the house so you never have to hear their moaning again :).

The best hairbrush I've ever used!

When I got the TanglePro detangling brush I have to admit I was a little sceptical. My first impression was that the packaging was plain, the hairbrush was relatively awkward to open, I thought the brush was quite small and the bristles too short. I did like the hairbrush colour of simple pink and black.

Don't be fooled by it's small and simple design, the TanglePro detangling brush is truly amazing. Easy to grip and hold and a pain-free experience getting rid of knots and tangles. On first use, I tested the TanglePro detangling brush on dry hair. My hair is curly, thick and long so it was a good test for the brush as my hair can be really knotty. It felt like the hairbrush was doing nothing because there was no pulling or yanking each time the brush hit a knot and the bristles weren't hitting my scalp. However, the brush was getting rid of all the knots and leaving my hair perfectly brushed (but of course frizzy as is normal when I brush my curls). I found it hard to believe as I've never had such a pain-free experience getting rid of knots.

The second test was on wet hair after a shower, this can often be even more awful when trying to brush my hair. But, exactly the same again. No pulling, no clumps of hair getting ripped out in the brush and no scratching of my scalp.

I honestly believe I am never going to use any other sort of hairbrush after discovering the TanglePro detangling brush. It is so nice to use and has dramatically improved how much of my hair comes out when I brush it. My previous hair brushes would literally pull out clumps of hair with knots....it was horrible!

Would highly recommend to everyone!

Tips: It may feel like it's doing nothing when it's doing everything perfectly, don't panic :)

Awesome TanglePRO

I was a bit dubious when I first received it as the bristles aren't as long as a lot of brushes and I didn't think it would get through my 10 year olds thick hair, but it proved me wrong. My 3 girl's love it. It's the first brush that they haven't complained about or told me off because it hurt. My 3 year old twins are already fighting over who gets to use it and we have only had it for 2 days. Miss 10 loved it because it brushed her thick hair faster than any other brush we have used and it doesn't pull and hurt on knots.

I used it on my wet hair and liked it but wasn't overly impressed. It took a bit off work to get my knots out (shoulder length hair) but I'll keep using it and see if things improve.

Would definitely recommend for children, the colour is perfect for girls off all ages. Handle is nice and easy to grip to.

Tips: Not really, just use more on wet hair to get used to it.

Thanks for a great review - my little girl is 3yrs and has amazing long ringlet hair, but the tugs and knots make brushing it painful for everyone involved. I think I'll buy this brush and see if it helps us too! She's also a big pink fan

"It doesn't even feel like I'm brushing my hair!"

Love the colour of this brush, the electric pink on the black makes it a bit easier to find in the hair draw. The handle is a nice easy to hold for adults and kids. So this was trialed under pretty harsh conditions as we had just been to a surf beach and my daughter's hair was still very knotted and beaten after her shower. My 8 yr old daughters first reaction was " it doesn't even feel like I'm brushing my hair" as there was none of the normal pulling and tangling but the brush was definitely doing it's job. She struggled a bit with the top of her head due to her hair still being very wet but after a few brushes from me she was all good. It has definitely become her brush of choice. I can see it as being easy to clean as the bristles are attached to a solid base that wont fill up with water if submerged. Will definitely recommend this product to other friend and family as at a price if $20 it's a steal!

Tips: The brush seems to get through to the scalp a lot more than others giving a nice scalp massage, great for loosening up my daughters psoriasis.
