Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

After a lot of talk about Estee Lauder Doublewear on Social Media sites, I decided to stop hearing about everyone talk about how amazing it is and actually go try it! Before purchasing the product I got a sample, which I recommend with any foundation as your colour in store won't always be the same in natural lighting.

Day 1: I feel in love, it applied perfectly. I always always like a foundation I can apply a small amount and build up, and I found Estee Lauder Doublewear allowed this.

Now, my biggest want out of a foundation is how long it can last. With Combination Oily/Normal skin I get a lot of problems with foundation lasting longer than till my first morning break! I checked on my foundation part way through the day to be shocked it was still sitting on my nose, let alone the rest of my face. By 5pm, it was not far off still being as perfect as I had applied that morning.

So this is a 10/10, it's a bit pricy but to me it's perfect. I don't have to worry all day about foundation missing off my nose and looking like a clown, I don't have to worry about touching up throughout the day.

I received a very generous sample size of this during a promotion that was running recently. The make up artist at Life Pharmacy matched this to my skin tone and away I went. This foundation is very easy to use. I apply it with a brush and I achieve a very nice finish with it. I love how this goes on as a liquid foundation but has a matte finish when it has set. I get a very good even beautiful coverage with this foundation and it feels light while on. I would definitely consider purchasing this in the future when I need more foundation.

I love Estee Lauder Doublewear foundation. I have freckles and always use a foundation to even out my skin tone. It certainly evens my complexion, does not melt or wipe off and is a great base on which to apply my makeup. My skin feels natural, it doesn't cake or crack or feel sticky or clammy at all. I dont know what else to say about it other than I would not change to anything else! A little goes a long way, a bottle lasts me approximately 6-9 months, even though I use it most days so the cost of $90 (less my Farmers $20 voucher) is totally worth it for me.

Tips: It's quite runny. The only flaw about this is the bottle. So watch out because it comes out quite quickly. Lastly a lot goes along way, so don't do what I need pour too much out lol

I love the texture and coverage of the Double Wear foundation range and nothing beat its staying power if you are like me and can't be bothered with power over liquid or creme foundations. The downsides for me have been trying to get a shade that is right (after three purchases of different shades after being matched in store I just mix to get a custom shade that does the trick), it doesn't photograph well and looks chalky under a flash, and it does oxidise in the bottle so needs a really good shake up if you are slow to use a bottle or are alternating with another foundation.

I purchased this foundation at makeup direct in Auckland and It was surprisingly cheap they were selling it for $15 and they had my shade which was double awesome. And brought three and I still own all three I'm half way threw my first bottle. I like the look of the bottle it's kind of fancy. I have rosacea all over my checks so it worked it literally covered all of my rosacea I like this product so so much. I do have a lot of other foundations that I adore so much. If a foundation covers my rosacea than I love and I will review.

I love this foundation! I like that it is buildable coverage so it can be a light coverage when you're wanting a more natural look but can also build it up to be full coverage. I wear this pretty much everyday and love how it stays in place I even go to my dance classes and it still stays in place. I also love that with this foundation I don't even have to put any concealer on because it covers all of my blemishes and redness. This is definitely my new holy grail foundation!

I have probably used a few foundations in my life time and with all of them I haven't been quite satisfied, until now. I was using studio fix before doublewear and boy oh boy I am thankful for converting! Lucky enough I didn't pay $75 for mine because it was a gift from duty free - I think it was around $50-60. This stuff I amazing. I gives me a full coverage that last the whole day or at night when I cake a little more on it last the entitle evening. It makes my skin looking clean, fresh and smooth. It really does give a illusion of the perfect skin. So happy I have found my holy grail foundation. Will keep using this forever And have recommended it to all. Love it.

I was in need for foundation for my wedding day. I was told Double Wear is all you need. So i went to the Estee Lauder counter in farmers and asked if they could find my shade for me. They gave me a sample to take home and try out. Wow is all i can say. I only had to use a tiny little bit, coverage is great! It just glides on so smoothly and feels like you aren't even wearing makeup. I had to stop myself from rubbing my face because i forgot i had makeup on. It really does last all day. I didn't have to top it up at all. I accidentally slept in it too ( I know naughty! I was tired and fell asleep haha) To my surprise it was still perfect the next morning! I cant wait to wear this on my wedding day and every other day too :)

the most amazing foundation i have ever tried! felt like i was not wearing any foundation! gave me airbrushed skin but for everyday i would wear the double wear light simply because i dont like a heavy coverage for day time:)

Ok so i was a little scared to try this foundation as my skin is dry in places and oily in others and with all the mixed reviews it was a scary experience. I went to my local farmers where i was matched to the the shade ivory nude, the lady at the counter wasn't the Estee Lauder lady she was just covering. When she matched me she used her fingers to apply the foundation and it matched but when i got home to my surprise she had left it patchy and streaky, and when i tried to fix it the foundation would not budge ! Like it was concrete ! After i managed to get the foundation off i moisturized, then applied the foundation with my flat top kabuki brush (evenly this time) it gave AMAZING coverage and was flawless. I went out that night and i slept with my makeup on (opps) in the morning the foundation was still exactly the same as it was when i applied it (wasnt patchy or anything), i was amazed ! I love this foundation, even though it is a bit on the pricey side i will repurchase !
