Where Do You Most Use Concealer?

Ahhh the concealer.  A small but powerful product in your makeup bag - one not to be underestimated!

They can make you look wide awake when you've had a far-less-than-perfect night's sleep.  They can hide the Mount Zitsuvius that erupts on your chin every month.  It really is worth finding the perfect concealer for you - once you've found the right one, you'll never look back!

Over or Under?

There's a few schools of thought surrounding the application of concealer and whether it should go over or under foundation.  We reckon it depends on what you're concealing.

Less is more when creating a great makeup base, so you want as few layers as possible.  When covering dark circles, always use concealer (and a corrector if necessary) before foundation.  Dab the product along the affected area and blend well.  You might find when it's time to apply foundation that you actually don't need to apply it on top of the concealer, but that you can blend where the two meet.  Have a play and find out what works best for you.

For blemishes, pimples and flaws you'll want to apply concealer on top of your foundation and blend outwards with a brush.  For this type of concealment you'll want your concealer to match your foundation shade.  Finish with powder.

I suffer from dark circles under the eyes and over the years I have tried several different types, many which were only used once or twice due to the finish they gave. It would be nice to find one that actually conceals well for dark circles, has a good finish and blends nicely.

I'm a bit intimidated! In the past (it's been a good 5 years since I've tried one) I've found them cakey or overly thick! I like a natural look so would love to find a concealer to wield in that way!

Sounds great. I use L’Oreal’s infallible range and love the foundation but haven’t been quite as excited by the concealer they currently have. I use concealer everyday, particularly on my nose.

Oh my goodness. I have just found out my favourite concealer is being discontinued. I am in a desperate need of a new one!

I usually do just a few dots and let it get warmed by my finger

Use it every day under my eyes eek. I am a huge fan of age rewind so I will definitely keep an eye out for this instore.

I wish there was an ultimate concealer that would completely cover my under eye circles. I do like the Collection Cosmetics concealer which gives the best coverage for me but not total cover. I use concealer all the time as every bit helps to keep tired looking eyes at bay. The elastic formula sounds like it may be beneficial for older skins to prevent creasing. Sounds like it's worth reviewing:-)

I struggle to find suitable concealers that hide my facial pigmentation without ceasing into fine lines and looking caked on. The high elastic pigment formula of this sounds amazing and exactly what I need. I would love to try this out as I wear make up most days to cover up these pigmentation spots.

I use a concealer most days. I put it on first - under everything else.

I don't use every day but like 2 times a week. Love how it hides skin imperfections

I love concealer . It hides everything. Especially my skin pigmentation.

I use it for a my under eyes to cover my dark circles but to be honest I don’t think I’m doing a very good job at using concealers or maybe I just need to find one that has the right formula for my skin type. I don’t use it everyday just occasionally when I’m going full glam. Would like to trial this just to see what the coverage and consistency is like. Also to see if I’m able to find a true match thats suitable.

I use concealer every day as I tend to use a BB cream instead of foundations, so I need the concealer to get some coverage that BB cream doesn't give - mostly for the eye area to try lighten the eyes up a little and disguise the dark circles a little. I struggle to find one that doesn't cake and amplify the eye wrinkles/fine lines though. It's sooooo hard to find a good concealer when you're in your 40's that is made to work with natural ageing (and tiredness!).... would love to trial this one

I use for under eyes and the occasional spot. I don't use it every day though as I find some actually make dark circles look worse. I'd love to try this one though - I am intrigued by the elastic formula!
