When shopping for bath and body care, once you've sussed the product you need, be it a cleanser, a moisturiser or an exfoliater, and you've then sifted your way through all of the different formula options, you're undoubtedly left with - the Sniff Test.

Scent can make or break a product, especially in skin care.  If you don't like how it smells, no matter how good the product is, you're not going to use it, right?

We're putting 3 products from the coming-soon Garnier Organics range to the test.

  • Fresh Lemongrass Detox Gel Wash - cleanses away dirt, oil and pollution without drying skin.
  • Fresh Lemongrass Balancing Moisturiser - hydrates skin all day, refreshes and balances oily zones.
  • Purifying Thyme Perfecting Toner - instantly purifies and mattifies skin while tightening pores and refining skin's texture.

Now, of course, it's you guys who get to review these, but we can tell you something...they smells AMAZING.  Seriously, when the box of products landed on my desk I was surrounded by people asking what smelt so good.  If you like fresh, herbaceous scents, these will pass the Sniff Test for you.

If you'd like to put your hand up to trial these three products for us, why not comment below and tell us two things;

  1. What kind of scents do you prefer in skin care (or maybe you prefer it unscented?)
  2. What type of skin do you have?  Normal, Oily, Combi, Dry, Sensitive, something else?

I love fresh clean scents, ones that seem natural and spa like. These sound so good I’d love to try!

I don’t mind either so will definitely have to keep an eye out for this when it hits the shelves for my sensitive skin. Lemongrass sounds amazing!

I actually like both! I would love to try this, currently using La Mav and Essano, both organic and both excellent! I have normal skin, oldish, but normal!

Skin Type: Combination Me = Perfect trail team member AND........... OH YES! THANK GOODNESS! FINALLY! I loooove herby scents! I wish more had that. My skin needs this skin care in its life! =)

I love fresh smells and lean towards herbs but don’t mind floral if they are natural and not too chemically. Love using Essano products as they have quite unique fragrances. My skin type is normal but can get oily in high humidity days. These products look so fresh and very tempting. Would love to try them.

To be honest I'm usually a more floral type person, but like it mildly scented, which isn't to say I'm not open to trying new things, because I certainly am. I do like lemongrass and thyme in my cooking so hey let's try it on my skin!!

I actually prefer unscented, just because it means one less artificial irritant! I've very sensitive skin and the fewer chemicals the better. One smell I do really love though is ginger, but not many skincare things has ginger in it!

I like a fresh scent. The Lemongrass sounds perfect. I have normal skin type.

I definitely prefer herby scents(and tastes) -and adore ones like lemongrass and thyme as they're so fresh smelling, and great for any time of the year and day. Also my sensitive-ish and 50+ skin seems to prefer them too.

I'm currently using Essano Superfoods skincare and their line smells so good. The gel cleanser is cinnamon, the night cream is Kale and the oil has turmeric. They all mix really well together which is a blessing!

Lemongrass sounds really good but Thyme I'm not convinced on mainly because I use it when cooking meat so it reminds me of a Sunday roast!

I have normal skin too, but if I find a dry area - usually on my forehead, then I spot treat it with the oil and we are good to go.

I definitely prefer lightly scented or no scent products. My skin gets irritated with a lot of the floral fragrances that get added into most ‘natural’ skincare. My skin is usually normal to oily but I’m dealing with a particularly bad breakout at the moment around my chin area. I’ve been reaching for the high strength stuff but it would be nice if I could find something gentler that would work.

never really used herbal smelling skin care before, but are willing to try it out. who knows, I might like it and make a permanent change

I prefer skin care to be subtly scented. Often floral scents can be irritating and over powering, I've always found herbal scents not to be as overpowering.

I have combination skin. I seem to get alot of blackheads around my nose and chin area
