My how lipstick looks have changed. Once upon a time it was a matter of just slicking on a pink or red tone and going about your business. Now there are colours galore. And the formulas! It's not just cream anymore. There are tints and liquids and glossy vs matte. It's a lipstick lovers dream! And with all this choice has come the arrival of some amazing lip-look trends.
One that's been popping up more and more - to the point where cosmetic companies, like Yves Saint Laurent, are making products specifically to create this look - are two-toned lips. Initially it started out as simply applying one shade of lippy on your upper lip, then a different shade of lippy to your bottom lip. But then makeup lovers began to mix it up by surrounding their outer lips in one colour and then filling in the rest in another - kind of like an ombre lip but without the blending. Those who liked to rock a more creative look then began to mix and match the two colours all over their lips in weird and wonderful patterns.
