Would it shock you to know that some Paw Paw balms ingredients list say they are made up of 96% Petroleum Jelly?  Have you got one in the house now? Go check the ingredients list and tell us what's in it!

Women.  We are reknowned for our multi tasking abilitiies.  Why do one thing, when you can do three?  Why solve one problem, when you can solve four, and make tea? It stands to reason then that if any product is going to get us excited, it's going to be a multi purpose product right?

Products with more than one use are generally more cost effective and environmentally friendly.  They also mean we don't have to cart our whole beauty kit around with us.  But can one product really do it all?

Paw Paw Ointments are nature's multi purpose product. They are just as versatile as your tub of petroleum jelly, if not more so.  Not only does it make an excellent lip salve, it has antibacterial and antimicrobial benefits and can be used as a topical salve for minor burns & scalds, sunburn, cuts & minor open wounds, nappy rash, chafing, insect bites, splinters and many, many more uses.

We're putting Sukin Pawpaw Ointment to the test.  This petrochemical free, versatile ointment with fermented Paw Paw nourishes and soothes chapped lips and dehydrated skin. Alongside fermented Paw Paw is a blend of natural oils, wax and extracts including Castor Seed Oil and Papaya Fruit Extract to hydrate and protect the skin’s moisture barrier.

This multipurpose ointment may also be used to ease the discomfort associated with redness and itching due to dryness while also improving the texture of skin.  It's suitable for all skin types and like all Sukin products, is paraben and sulphate free, Vegan and kind to bunnies!

We're looking for THIRTY people to put this gorgeous product to the test and write a review of their experiences with it.  So why not get chatting to us about all things paw paw.

Do you regularly use a paw paw ointment?  What do you use it for?  Are all Paw Paw balms created equal? Do you really know what the ingredients are? Would it bother you to discover yours had petroleum jelly in it?  Would you expect them to be more 'natural' like the Sukin Paw Paw Ointment with it's natural oils and waxes?

Talk paw paw to us below!

21st July, 2017

My daughter and husband are very prone to chapped lips and didn't know that paw paw was the answer. I would like to get this for them.

I haven't tried anything like it! Would love to give it a go. Especially during the winter months.

So many swear by their paw paw, and use it to fix basically anything so I find it so interesting to read most have crap ingredients! I've tried a couple of Sukin products in the past and was really impressed so I'd like to try their paw paw, mainly for my lips as notice they are dry a lot

Yes please it actually never occurred to me to check the ingredient! Silly me totally shocked at the what was in it compared to what I thought was in there....... Red face moment! I never leave the house with out my paw paw ointment covers my dry lips or nappy rash bottoms or even play ground scraps! Would love to give this a try!

I've heard good things about pawpaw ointments but never tried them. I suffer from chapped lips and occasionally get eczema around my lips so would love to try this product.

I use to use the lucas branded pawpaw ointment until I discovered the statement above that it was mainly petroleum jelly so I don't stock any paw paw. I'm currently using a lip hydrator by first aid but would love to try a pawpaw ointment especially by this brand. Skin is such a lovely brand

I've always just stuck to my trusty blistex for my lips...never realized the benefits of a paw paw ointment. May have to try.

24th April, 2017

I used to use pawpaw but found it wasn't as effective as it was when i first started using it... can you become immune to its effects??

20th April, 2017

I used to use Lucas' pawpaw treatment in the red tube, when I was breastfeeding and also for chapped lips. It worked pretty well for me, and I would be keen to try a new pawpaw treatment.

I have never used Paw Paw before but a friend of mine does and loves it. Another friend of mine told me that they are pretty much all petroleum jelly which put me off every buying it so this product sounds great!

Would love to trial Sukin Paw Paw Ointment...I guess I would say that I would be a little shocked to find petroleum jelly in some brands...I must check the one I have at home. I use for a number of things i.e. bumps, cuts, bruises, lips, elbows, feet etc... :)

I have never tried Pawpaw ointment, I'm a virgin! I'm for trying anything that will help my rough and dry skin. Sukin are a favourite brand of mine so I would really like to trial and review this.
