Guyyyyyys here's another incredible trial opportunity from fab Kiwi brand Wild Ferns.  I'm not going to spend anytime waxing poetic on this one, we have too much to get through.  So listen up, Manuka Honey in Skin Care 101 has begun.

Manuka-who-now? Manuka Honey comes from bees (well duh) that pollinate our native Manuka tree.  As well as being delicous, Manuka Honey isn't just a sweet treat from nature - it's an incredibly potent ingredient for skin care, and medicinal uses.

You see Manuka Honey, like other honies, contains a lot of sugar and not very much water, this means micro-organisms can't easily form and colonise. Manuka Honey also ontains special antibacterial properties including an enzyme that produces Hydrogen Peroxide, a proven antiseptic and antibacterial agent.

As well as its antibacterial and anti-microbial properties, Manuka is full of proteins, vitamins and minerals, as well as antioxidants.  Antioxidants neutralise free radicals, lessening skin damaging and aiding the regeneration of new cells and tissue.

AND as if nourishing, soothing and healing all skin types (including sensitive!) wasn't enough, Manuka Honey is a natural humectant; acting to prevent loss of moisture thereby retaining the skin's natural moisture.

We're looking for thirty reviewers to put 3 products form the Wild Ferns Manuka Honey range to the test - if you're looking to include Manuka in your skin care, these might just be what you're looking for!

Manuka Honey Gentle Facial Cleanser works deep in the pores without stripping your natural oils. Calendula Oil’s soothing, healing and softening properties combine with toning Juniper Essential Oil to remove impurities and makeup without damaging the skin’s natural protective barrier. Rich and nourishing Avocado Oil immediately replenishes to leave skin soft and smooth after every wash.

Manuka Honey Purifying Toner is alcohol free.  It contains the beneficial qualities of premium certified Manuka Honey 80+ blended with Aloe Vera, Bilberry and Witch Hazel.

This purifying toner thoroughly removes remaining traces of oil, makeup and dirt and prepares the skin to maximise the benefits of your moisturiser. These natural ingredients combine to stimulate the circulation, firm the elasticity of the pores and rejuvenate the skins cells. Manuka Honey helps eliminate impurities and assists in the healing of blemishes. Leaves the skin feeling fresh and revitalised.

Manuka Honey Protective Hydrating Moisturiser with SPF30 provides maximum protection and intensive hydration. It is rich in essential fatty acids andantioxidants, Rosehip and Wheatgerm oils instantly replenish, while Collagen and Hibiscus Extract help to maintain skin’s firmness and elasticity.

The tested and certified SPF30 works to shield the skin against everyday environmental damage. This non greasy formula is perfect to be worn under makeup and its suitable for all skin types.

If you fancy a spot on this trial team get talking to us below about all things Manuka.  Have you tried it in skin care?  What did you think of it?  Why do you want a spot on this trial team?

I have been using manuka honey as a home remedy for lots of things for years. Not only does it heal cuts and scrapes twice as fast but the kids don't mind it either as its less painful than antiseptic cream. It is also my go-to when making lemon honey tea for colds and flu. I can only imagine how great this skincare range is going to bee. SPF 30 Moisturizer is another big bonus for my pale skin. I would love to be selected for this trial please to find out just how buzzing awesome this is!

I have tried Manuka before in a lip balm, in a mask, in my tea and on bread. Every time I thought it was fantastic. I believe in the miracles Manuka can do and would love to include Manuka products in my skin care. I would like to have a spot on the team and would be especially looking into the SPF30 moisturiser. This is a good time of the Year to put that to the test. I have tested products before and know how to write a review.

The last Manuka based skincare I tried left my face really sticky. It was bizarre. I'd love to give this a whirl to see if I can be persuaded back to the honey club.

I've never used Manuka honey in skincare products but frequently use it to fight coughs and colds during winter. I would love a spot on this trial as I always like to use more natural products as well I'm sure it'll smell yummy

I've used Antipodes day cream with Manuka Honey and bee venom and loved it. It is especially great for oily skin, which I have. It is light, yet effective and improves skin texture.

Wild Ferns products are usually quite good. I have made honey based face packs before, but thats about it. Would love to trial these products.

I love the sound of all the natural ingredient in the products to help heal my congested skin. I especially like the sound of the good oils in the moisturiser and that there will be no greasiness to it.

I have never heard of this brand, but I love New Zealand products and more natural type products so would love to give this a try. I am intrigued by the use of manuka honey as I know that it has a lot of positive benefits when you eat it so would be keen to see what it's like on the skin.

I love anything made up of Manuka honey and nothing can be purist to honey when it comes to facial use. I would like to use any product made up of Manuka honey and please stop me from smelling it as I love its smell. if it is used for facial purposes you can smell it throughout. I cannot imagine how glowing skin will be there following the use.

I used a few products when I was staying with a cousin that contained manuka in them. She swears by them and she has gorgeous skin!!! I haven't got my hands on any products with manuka myself yet, but I feel like it would really help my acne and blackheads with the healing properties it provides.

Oooh I'd love to try these products. I've never used anything from this brand either but I have heard good things about it. I used to use Manuka honey to clear pimples. I would dab a bit on the pimple and cover it with a plaster and leave it over night. Within a day or two the pimple would disappear and it would also reduce the redness. I could see that the honey was also drawing out the impurities and the puss. So I do believe all the benefits that Manuka honey has and I'm interested to see how those three products will benefit my skin. I also love how the moisturiser had SPF. I'll be watching out for the reviews on these products.
