Can You Believe HOW many people have cut their own hair?

LOCKDOWN Beauty and US.

by BR Tabatha

Last week in the search of the facts and to uncover the truth, we surveyed our Beauty Review readers to ask if lockdown has impacted the way we look, and the way we buy.

Have we turned into a nation of women cowering in the shadows not because we’re afraid of COVID-19, but  because our body hair is now so long it needs to be blow dried?  What DIY beauty treatments has the nation resorted to?  Have we become a nation in love with supermarket beauty products, or are we hanging out for salon treatments?

Let's find out!

So there you have it.  The Lockdown Beauty numbers crunched - any surprises?  We can't believe so many salon clients have reached for the scissors and colour!  Let's hope hairdressers don't decide to add a DIY Tax!

WIN: Tell us more about any of your DIY successes or failures below and we might reward you with a spot prize from our awesome prize cupboard to boost your spirits.

I’ve dyed my hair during Lockdown which I’ve actually tried before but this dye was horrendous. It didn’t cover any greys and even while using special shampoo for blondes has basically washed out. My hair has actually never looked so bad. I’m not working at the moment so am desperately saving to get my hair done properly

Home brewed apple cider vinegar for EVERYTHING. As a toner, a scalp treatment, to deep cleanse hair.. it’s amazing and insanely simple to make. It does take time but most of it is just leaving it to sit in a jar for 6 weeks lol

Purple shampoo has kept my hair going during lockdown but I am ready to have a refresh and my layers need a good trim also

I was about to cut my hair by myself then I thought I will wait more couple of weeks... Coloring hair is usually done at home.. But hope I can get manicure, facial and laser soon... No rush for now...

My biggest concern is my eyebrows. I have tried to tidy them a little. But they really need some special attention.

I found being at home all the time I did not need to wash and style my hair as often so saved money on products

A week before lockdown, I dyed my hair and had a tonne fall out - I think I have an allergy to the dye. Since then I've had my hair trimmed by a family member and trimmed my own bangs which I usually do anyway haha :)

I haven't done anything to my hair, but I definitely need a cut. I was very tempted to dye my hair "dark cherry" but resisted the urge.

Funnily enough I have cut my husband and sons hair 3 times during lockdown. Thankfully they only need the hair trimmer. Taking the trimmers as visiting my Mum and Dad in the Rest Home for the first time since lockdown so they will be looking forward to another trim

Thank goodness for L’Oréal Paris Magic Retouch. I’ve been able to retouch my hairline which always shows the greys first. I’ve also trimmed my fringe and it’s not too bad.
