Our Extraordinary Clay Diary - Day 4

7 July, 2017 - 09:19pm by - Head Pixie | 4 Comments

By BR Kellie and BR Zoe

Kellie and Zoe are putting the L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Extraordinary Clay range to the test.  These gals have oily hair and usually like to wash it daily and yet here they are, day 4 and no shampoo.  Well liquid shampoo that is...

ZOE DAY 4 - Actual magical powers?

Ok so I spritzed my hair with the L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo last night and was wowed by my first ever dry shampoo experience.  But I'm a modern girl and that means I'm cynical.  Like proper cynical.  So I went to bed not expecting the oil to be kept at bay overnight.  And yet...

I woke up and styled my hair.  I did this rather cute front braid and left the rest of my hair down.  And I went to work.  The picture to the right?  That's my hair now, 7.30pm Friday.  It looks pretty darn good right?  Let me break down this that now has me believing in miracle products.

I usually wash my hair every day.  I go 36 hours between washes at most.  I last washed my hair 7pm Monday following the L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Mask.   That was 96 hours ago.  In this 96 hours I've used dry shampoo once.  Say whaaaaaaaaaat?!

My hair feels pretty much oil free, a bit oily at the roots but certainly not the oil slick it was before I started this challenge.  To say I'm impressed is a bit of an understatement!

So I'm going to chill for the night and see what my hair is like in the morn.  Will I be oil ridden?  Will dry shampoo be enough?  Du-du-dunnnnnn.

KELLIE DAY 4 - Mop Up On Aisle Four!

I woke up today to a bit of a mess. Not a huge mess. Certainly not the kind of oily mess I'd wake up to on a usual non-clay day four, which would have be racing to the shower for a shampoo sesh. So I grabbed my trusty L'Oreal dry shampoo and went squirt crazy. I'm still blown away by this dry shampoo - great scent, no white cast on hair, and it totally mops up the excess oil. It's brilliance in a bottle!

I made the style decision to put my hair up into its usual trusty bun so that if another oil slick made its way my head I'd be able to pass it off as being wet styled. The things we oily girls have to do!

So far, so good! Bring on tomorrow!

60 reviewers are also putting the Extraordinary Clay range to the test too - you can follow their reviews here - spoiler - it's reviewing AMAZINGLY!

I don't have oily hair unless I don't get a chance to wash it, but that dry shampoo sounds appealing.
