Is This New Trend Festival Fun... or Festival Fail?

I've given plenty of beauty trends side-eye in my time. Sometimes I end up loving them... pom-pom nails hold a special, whimsical place in my heart. Sometimes I can't even... I'm looking at you wiggly waggly brows and lips. This latest trend? I can't make my mind up!

From somewhere over the rainbow comes... Rainbow teeth.

We are putting this new Insta-trend down to the creators of CHRŌM. A company that has created a tooth polish that is meant to be used like a nail polish. Yep, you read that right. It's designed to be painted on your tooth in order for you to enjoy a change of tooth colour for a day.

Apparently it's smudge-proof, so you can get your eat on. And they say it can be removed in seconds!

The shade selection doesn't quite hit all the colours of the rainbow - but it's getting there with pinks, blue, green and yellow, silver, gold and bronze shades available. And, we have to admit, they're super pretty colours! We'd wear them on our face... but would we wear them on our teeth?

We can see that this invention would be fantastic if you were into the cosplay scene or if you were wanting to add something extra to a Halloween outfit... but on (or should that be in?) your face at a festival? Or as a thing to do on the daily? Part of us wants to say 'yes, it's fun and it's an extension of makeup so get amongst it!' but the other part is doing a 'yeah, nah' dance. Hmmmm... we are SO on the fence with this one.

So what say you? Is it cute? Is it crazy? Will you be taking a bite out of this toothy trend? Chat away!

Makes for a good Insta photo and that is where it ends. In real life (and if you aren't a supermodel with perfect teeth) people would be staring at you for all the wrong reasons!

Nope, I don’t reckon your teeth are something you’d normally want to draw attention to on your face. Focus on the eyes, the lips, the cheeks, whatever... but the teeth? As k1tty127 said below, it’s a big ‘yeah....nah!’ from me too!

yeah...... nah!! i love my pearly whites too much!!

19th January, 2019

I think it looks cool and lots of fun but personally I wouldn't do it as I tend to end up looking like a gonk lol.

Um.. no.. hahahaha. My teeth is too precious.. i wouldn’t play around with my teeth hahahaha =D

17th January, 2019

Oh no no no! I think if said company made one that is a nice pearly white that look natural those would sell, but no way am I paying money to have bright pink, blue, green..etc teeth.

17th January, 2019

Hehe - looks quite cool but I don't think I would try it :)

17th January, 2019

Ah no definitely not it just looks, well strange.

16th January, 2019

Normally I'm down for weird, but this is too much for me!

It looks like they’ve sucked on some funky lollies that have change the colour of their teeth. I won’t be jumpin* on that trend haha.

16th January, 2019

Never ever heard of this and would be biting my lip to tell anyone wearing it they had something stuck in their teeth. I like my pearly whites just the way they are.

16th January, 2019

Erm...not for me...

From a distance they'd just look dirty or discoloured I reckon.
