How much effort do you make with your lipstick?

Whenever I talk about my own beauty habits I feel like I might come across a little, erm, lazy.

In most aspects of life, I'm the least-lazy person you know.  I'm a doer, a do-it-right-er in fact, and yet when it comes to my own beauty routine, I'm a bit, well, inconsistent.  Can't remember the last time I brushed my hair, yet still applied SPF even though it's grey and raining.  Haven't used cleanser when washing my face the last three days, brushed my teeth thrice by midday.  I'm just as inconsistent with my lip care.

I use lip balm multiple times daily, but on the average day that's followed by a swipe of easy-to-wear nude lipstick.  My lazy go-to is Becca.  It applies like a dream and doesn't require anything else of me.

And then there is 'going-out-Natalie'.  This Natalie is anything but lip-lazy.  She scrubs, hydrates, plumps, hydrates again, primes, lines and paints.  I swear my lips take longer than doing my eyes, probably because they're my least favourite part of my face.

So, how much effort do you make applying your lipstick?  Are you a daily lipstick gal?  Do you scrub, prime, outline, paint and even gloss? Or do you just swipe it on and hope for the best?

Get chatting below, and please, at least one of you, be as lazy as me!

Ummm, I'm only lining and applying lipstick but surely cannot make without the lip liner. Bold colours are my favourite

Guilty here! Fail to top up and resort to lip balms.

It depends on the day and ho mu lips feel. Some times I pre-condition my lips and use a liner and other times I just smash i on and go. One thing I have found very helpful is using a very nourishing lip conditioner just before going to sleep. This has become a standard part of my nightly ritual.

You'd probably call me lazy when it comes too my lips. I get sick of reapply Lipps so lately I've been using lip balm hahaha

I use lipsticks everday, but only scrub and paint. I want to have the time to outline, it just takes a lot of my time to so that. I have never heard of priming for the lips, so it's something I should look into!

I own [too] many lipsticks, if that is a thing! I wear it all day, everyday and love it. I only use a lip balm at night. It sits on my bedside table so is handy to quickley swipe before sleep.

I never would have guessed that - I always assumed that BR lovelies who have hoards of lip balm are quite vigilant in making up their lips.

I wear lippy everyday particularly matte so I make the effort to apologise to my lips by taking care of them as much as I can.

I wear makeup 7 days a week and yes that means lippy too. I use foundation then a lip liner and a lippy and sometimes a gloss over that!

Ekkk I'm guilty, I only own one lipstick currently, I love it but I rarely wear it as I just forget! I wear a chapstick daily that has a little gloss in it...does that count haha I would really like to wear lippy more, I just don't know what colours will suit me to be honest. Would love to wear bold and bright

I am very thorough with my lips now. I have very dry lips, so I exfoliate them every morning in the shower. If I am wearing a dark, or bright lipstick, I use a clear lipliner to stop any bleeding. I also apply a lip primer every day. It helps the lip colour to stay on longer.

I wear lippy every day. It's a must, and i always buy at least two new ones per year. BUT, I just apply to lips. And reapply throughout the day. I don't exfoliate or use a lip liner or a primer. And I only blot if it's a particularly bright colour.

6th June, 2017

I don't think I'd go to that much trouble - it's just gloss and run.....

6th June, 2017

It depends because I do both. If I do a full face and I still have time to apply a liquid lipstick or a bright or dark color I put more time into prepping my lips. But if I'm in a rush out the door then a good nice nude or pink goes on within 10 seconds also if I'm just wearing lippy at home then no prep goes into that either.

6th June, 2017

I just apply and blot. Then I'll go over it with a balm a few hours later.

I'm a slap on girl - lip-liner has never worked for my full lips, but swipe and go does. I do use a lot of balms - stashed one in my man's truck yesterday.
