Have You Used an Elizabeth Arden Foundation Before?

Applying foundation is a tricky task.  It really is a skill that you learn through trial and error.  Brush, wedge, sponge, your fingers - each tool has it's pros and cons, and each tool works differently depending on the format of foundation.

Today we're looking at a cream foundation, which generally, are great for providing medium to full coverage, being easily buildable.  And this foundation comes complete with its own applicator too!  Oh.  And one of the ingredients......diamonds.  Actual diamonds!

Recently Elizabeth Arden improved their best-selling and beloved Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup. The new formula delivers more of what was great about the orginal foundation:

  • more radiance-boosting benefits
  • improved complexion-perfecting ingredients
  • increased moisturising
  • a natural luminous finish that lasts all day.

Infused with micronized diamond powder, this light-reflecting foundation manipulates and scatters light to diffuse the look of imperfections. Immediately, the look of fine lines, pores, blemishes, scars and dark spots are diminished. Skin appears smoother and more even in tone, as luminosity and radiance are boosted. This moisturising formula offers medium to full coverage that feels comfortable and lasts all day.

And if you think the formula sounds amazing, how about the double-deck compact that's great for travel and on-the-go touchups. Open the top cover to reveal the cream foundation and a mirror, and flip up the bottom level for a contoured application sponge.

So, we think the interest in reviewing this for us is going to be high, so without further ado it's time to put your hand up.

How easy do you find it to apply foundation? If your regular foundation comes with an applicator, do you use it?  Or do you have a favourite foundation tool, independant to the foundation itself?  And what about your experiences with Elizabeth Arden foundations?

never tried Elizabeth Arden ANYTHING at all! First time use during a trial is ideal

I have been using the same foundation since I was a teenager which is quite a few years. Maybe it is time to try something else.

I'm yet to try an Elizabeth Arden foundation - its on my to do list though! Depending on what foundation I'm wearing I like to either use a beauty blender or a flat top foundation brush to get a good coverage.

I am awlays on the look out to find that perfect foundation that gives enough coverage, is the right colour, doesn't "slide" off my face by the end of the day, keeps me light and bright and looking my best! I have a good skin and not much to cover but now that age is catching up I need the perfect foundation to keep it looking youthful and lovely. I am using Clinique with an applicator that goes well on my skin and blends in nicely but that may not be the best one out there. I've never tried an Elizabeth Arden foundation and would be excited to see if it can outdo my current one.

Aw... looking at the words ‘flawless finsh’.. and ‘med to full coverage’... ‘comfortable’.. ‘even tone’... ‘radiance’.. ‘moisturising’... ‘natural..finish’... just makes me even more want to join this trial team.. looking forward to hearing more about this trial =D

I'm definitely interested in being part of the trial team

I’ve never tried a sponge on foundation - I’m scared it will be too thick.

I've never tried Elizabeth Arden foundation before, and this sounds amazing. I'm keen to try the new applicator and a compact is always handy to have for touch ups on the run. Diamonds as well! Sounds like this girl's next best friend. X

I have two foundations I use regularly. Clinique Almost Powder is my go-to for daily light coverage. It comes with a sponge applicator which works really well and is super handy because I can throw it in my makeup bag and go. The alternative is Maybelline Pro Glow foundation for more coverage. I can happily apply this with my fingers, but I still use a beauty blender to even out the edges and tricky spots such as my nose, chin and eye areas.

I've never used an Elizabeth Arden foundation before, so would definitely be keen to see if they can give me a new favourite foundation. Anything with easy application (such as my Maybelline and Clinique products) is a must have for me!

I currently just use a BB Cream foundation and apply with a brush as its so easy and o like a natural look.. This Elizabeth Arden foundation sounds absolutely amazing and would be a dream for me to try..

True true... i don’t usually touch up after my make up as its just not convenient to bring a brush and a container of powder with me. Compact with mirror will solve this problen hahahaha.. tick =D.
