Have You Used an Elizabeth Arden Foundation Before?

Applying foundation is a tricky task.  It really is a skill that you learn through trial and error.  Brush, wedge, sponge, your fingers - each tool has it's pros and cons, and each tool works differently depending on the format of foundation.

Today we're looking at a cream foundation, which generally, are great for providing medium to full coverage, being easily buildable.  And this foundation comes complete with its own applicator too!  Oh.  And one of the ingredients......diamonds.  Actual diamonds!

Recently Elizabeth Arden improved their best-selling and beloved Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup. The new formula delivers more of what was great about the orginal foundation:

  • more radiance-boosting benefits
  • improved complexion-perfecting ingredients
  • increased moisturising
  • a natural luminous finish that lasts all day.

Infused with micronized diamond powder, this light-reflecting foundation manipulates and scatters light to diffuse the look of imperfections. Immediately, the look of fine lines, pores, blemishes, scars and dark spots are diminished. Skin appears smoother and more even in tone, as luminosity and radiance are boosted. This moisturising formula offers medium to full coverage that feels comfortable and lasts all day.

And if you think the formula sounds amazing, how about the double-deck compact that's great for travel and on-the-go touchups. Open the top cover to reveal the cream foundation and a mirror, and flip up the bottom level for a contoured application sponge.

So, we think the interest in reviewing this for us is going to be high, so without further ado it's time to put your hand up.

How easy do you find it to apply foundation? If your regular foundation comes with an applicator, do you use it?  Or do you have a favourite foundation tool, independant to the foundation itself?  And what about your experiences with Elizabeth Arden foundations?

One of the first foundations I used was a sponge foundation. The second one I used was an Elizabeth Arden Mousse foundation, and I still keep a bottle of this on hand as I love the texture and coverage I can build with it - I use a brush or a wedge. So I'd be really keen to try the Elizabeth Arden diamond sponge-on cream for comparison, as I am finding I want more full coverage as I age.

Oh how exciting, I used to use EA many moons ago & haven't quite got another to hit the mark...mainly due to my skin getting a little older. This flawless one sounds the perfect mix of cream, moisture full, luminous and long wearing. My hand up for sure :)

I have tried a few Elizabeth Arden products - and currently use their SPF50 city block (most days). I also like their "Ultra Violet" lipstick. Never tried any of their foundations before - and it would be great to try a a set formula rather than a liquid for a change.

This sounds interesting. The word diamond deffinitely caught my eye :) I haven't tried Elizabeth ARDEN foundation before but am really liking the sound of a Cream foundation. I usually apply with my Fingers as have always used thin foundation.

Looks awesome. Never tried elizabeth before.

This would be amazing to trial this product. I usually use my fingers to apply my liquid foundation or bb cream.

I too raise my hand! I have yet to try Elizabeth Arden, but would be excited to try a product that makes my skin glow for easy summer makeup. When I use a powder I use a kabuki to brush on, and with liquid I still love fingers! I usually blend with a beauty blender and occasionally use a brush. Would love to find a go to foundation I can put on when I am being driven around by my partner- time saving!

I raise my hand high for this one. I currently use Elizabeth Arden products, including a foundation and would love to trial this one. I would want to trial it on its own as well as using my Elizabeth Arden primer, serum, moisturizer etc. I use a variety of tools to apply foundation, depending on the day such as a silicon sponge, brush, fingers, beauty blender etc. I would love to compare this foundation to my current one and also see how long it lasts with certain products!

I use a liquid foundation and apply with a sponge then I pop a bit of powder on top with a brush to hold it all day. Sounds like the perfect package! Would love to try this Elizabeth Ardern foundation

Due to my budget, I haven't tried one but I'd love to see if it performs better than any of my other low to mid range foundations.

No I haven’t, am interested though! The price is often quite high so I want to see how it compares to a Mac or Clinique foundation.

I have used an Elizabeth Arden foundation before but it was a liquid one and quite some time ago so would be interested in giving this one a try. The packaging looks lovely and the fact a sponge is included is definitely a plus. Ordinarily I have a separate sponge for application but that doesn't really work in the small make-up kit I carry in my handbag for emergency touch-ups. Sounds like this could be the perfect package!!

I have tried a good handful of foundations but have never tried Elizabeth Arden foundations. I do love her perfumes. A lot of the time I dispose of the sponges that come with products; I do try them out first but they don't seem to work as well as other tools. If I could find a foundation that comes with a sponge that I don't have to swap out it would be a holy grail! I love trying brands I haven't used before because you never know, might be the best thing I've ever tried.

I want a makeup with staying power but without the dull matte look that can make ageing skin look lifeless and mask like. This looks like it ticks the boxes.

I love cream makeup - doesn't settle into the creases, and if it's luminous all the better - my dull skin tone would love this foundation ..just in time for Christmas parties :)
