Have You Used a VS Sassoon Product Before?

My first styler was a Vidal Sassoon (as it was known back then) 2-in-1 straightener and crimper.  Not gonna lie.  Never used the straightening plates.  Why would anyone opt for straight over crimped?!  I remember it being heavy and cumbersome to use.   Not as heavy or cumbersome as some of these vintage stylers mind.

Imagine being that lady sitting under that magnificent looking hair dryer back in 1928.  You'd have thought your salon was on the cutting edge {puntastic.  #sorrynotsorry} of technology.

Or how about this hair raising {Not gonna stop.  Puns are life} curler from 1922.  I mean could there be a more glam way to get the twenties waves?!

Iron be damned {a stretch to be fair} it's an actual iron.  'Fess up, we bet some of you have done this!!

Alright, so that three-step through the history of hair tools is a bit grim.  I mean can you imagine the damage our ladies of yesteryear put their hair through?  And the size of them!  Even the iron - you'd hardly want to throw it in your overnight bag for on-the-go styling would you?!

Thankfully, times have changed.  Tools are smaller.  Safer.  Kinder to your hair.  And just when you think we've reached the epitome of hair tech sophistication, some clever sausage comes along with something even better.

Like those super smart folk at VS Sassoon.  Their latest Digital Sensor range,  consists of a trio of hair styling tools that boast some pretty impressive tech.  These products don't just work at an 'optimum' temperature - they actually adapt and react to the hair they're styling.  The Digital Sensor range does things like; maintaining a uniform & consistent airflow, eliminating hot spots that cause damage to the hair fibre and monitoring moisture in the hair, to ensure optimal, consistent & even styling for healthy, protected hair.

THE DIGITAL SENSOR HOT AIR STYLER

From slicked-back to salon blow-outs, this styler does it all with easy one-handed styling. With heat protection technology, the rotating brush provides engineered-to-perfection airflow. Dry, style & add volume to any hair type, as frizz is tamed & hair health is boosted.

THE DIGITAL SENSOR HAIRDRYER

The super smart Italian engineered & crafted hairdryer that actively protects against hair damage. Taking the guess work out of temperature, the optimised hair safe 70°C airflow is designed to fight frizz & protect against colour fade. For the fastest dry on all hair types, without heat damage.

THE DIGITAL SENSOR STRAIGHTENER

The Digital Sensor with Heat Protect Sensor Mode monitors & adjusts the plate temperature according to the characteristics of the hair, like moisture, to ensure optimal, consistent & even styling for healthy, protected hair.

I have used their products but not for, God, maybe 12 years and hopefully they've improved since then! I'd love to try the hair drier or the brush. I own other brands versions of those and works be interested to see how VS Sassoon compares. I'm just getting into the styling brushes now I've cut a bit of length off my hair and got a fringe.

Yes please to the straighteners! Always keen to try another brand to see if it can tackle this unruly mop that i have on my hair. Coming into some it will be awesome to see what they can do with the heat and frizz that i normally get compared to using a GHD.

I've never tried VS Sassoon products before, and I am intrigued by the hot air brush. It looks like it would be a great product for my sort of curly sort of straight hair which primarily ends up in a ponytail out of frustration. I'm wanting to get my hair cut shorter again and can see this tool making styling so so easy.

Ooo that's a tough choice!! At a pinch I'd pick the Digital Sensor Hairdryer to try! My current dryer is a VS which I've loved but I'd love to try an upgrade. When I purchased my hairdryer is was fantastic and it still does the job ok but the technology is out of date now and it's really big and heavy!! The dryer above looks like a great size! It also takes me a long time to get my hair dry so I'd love to see if this dryer would speed up the process. I also used to own a VS wet to dry straightener! Eeeek that's right, straightening wet hair!! It worked too!! But I hate to think of the damage it probably did!

Oh my gosh I could definitely do with the sensor straightener to get my crazy hair in control. It's been years since I've had a hair straightener so would love to give this a try.

I have a VS hair dryer and it is the best hair dryer I have ever used! I also use it on my girls during winter and no complaints as i can vary the heat settings! I would love to trial The Digital Sensor Straighteners as I love to straighten my hair but my current straightener is a cheapy that although straightens my hair, doesn't seem to make it last! Within 5 mins my hair has got it's kink back and usually a bit of frizz too! I would love to see if this can tame my hair without damaging it!

I'd love to try the digital sensor hairdryer.. I have thick hair and it takes ages to dry underneath.. would live to try this to help minimise heat damage to my hair..

I haven’t used any Vidal Sassoon tools before but am definitely keen to try the Digital Sensor Hot Air Styler. It looks amazing and would hopefully tame my half curly, half straight hair which I normally put in a ponytail as I can’t be bothered blow drying and then straightening. I know VS was one of the first high quality salons opened in the UK and the States so if they’ been around for that long then the year must be doing something right.

I haven't used a VS Sasson before but would love to see how their new tools would perform on my crazy hair! I straighten my hair regularly to tame it's craziness so would love to see how their new digital sensor straightener matches up. The digital sensor hot air styler also sounds very intriguing!

i have never tried any VS Sasson tools before, but i would love to try the straightener, my hair is thick and somewhere between wavy and curly. which means it gets frizzy and have lots of flyaways, would love to have a straight hair option too

Definitely would love to try the hair dryer. I own the VS Sassoon 3Q Brushless Digital Hair Dryer and it was great when I first got it but with age I think it isn't performing how it should be. I would love to see if a new hair dryer would perform better

My hair has been pretty straight mostly so I've not needed to use a straightner often , until now. For the past year I've found my hair getting really fizzy (those post baby harmones ) When I cut my hair short they completely poofed up . I'm on the look out for a good straightner and would love to have a chance to trial this please.

I would love to try the digital sensor trainer usually I try to straighten my hair but falls out after an hour so would love to try these see how long my hair will stay straight.

I would love to trial the Digital Sensor Hot Air Styler!! With thick, heavy hair there are no many products out there that work for me and this sounds pretty awesome :)

26th October, 2018

I would love to trial the Digital Sensor Hairdryer please! Looks amazing and sounds amazing. How good would it be for my hair to be less frizzy from a blow wave! Normally my hairdryer creates the extra frizziness, so would be a lovely change :) also needing to stop my hair from getting even more damaged! I have had my current straightener for maybe 14 or so years haha
