Have You Used a VS Sassoon Product Before?

My first styler was a Vidal Sassoon (as it was known back then) 2-in-1 straightener and crimper.  Not gonna lie.  Never used the straightening plates.  Why would anyone opt for straight over crimped?!  I remember it being heavy and cumbersome to use.   Not as heavy or cumbersome as some of these vintage stylers mind.

Imagine being that lady sitting under that magnificent looking hair dryer back in 1928.  You'd have thought your salon was on the cutting edge {puntastic.  #sorrynotsorry} of technology.

Or how about this hair raising {Not gonna stop.  Puns are life} curler from 1922.  I mean could there be a more glam way to get the twenties waves?!

Iron be damned {a stretch to be fair} it's an actual iron.  'Fess up, we bet some of you have done this!!

Alright, so that three-step through the history of hair tools is a bit grim.  I mean can you imagine the damage our ladies of yesteryear put their hair through?  And the size of them!  Even the iron - you'd hardly want to throw it in your overnight bag for on-the-go styling would you?!

Thankfully, times have changed.  Tools are smaller.  Safer.  Kinder to your hair.  And just when you think we've reached the epitome of hair tech sophistication, some clever sausage comes along with something even better.

Like those super smart folk at VS Sassoon.  Their latest Digital Sensor range,  consists of a trio of hair styling tools that boast some pretty impressive tech.  These products don't just work at an 'optimum' temperature - they actually adapt and react to the hair they're styling.  The Digital Sensor range does things like; maintaining a uniform & consistent airflow, eliminating hot spots that cause damage to the hair fibre and monitoring moisture in the hair, to ensure optimal, consistent & even styling for healthy, protected hair.

THE DIGITAL SENSOR HOT AIR STYLER

From slicked-back to salon blow-outs, this styler does it all with easy one-handed styling. With heat protection technology, the rotating brush provides engineered-to-perfection airflow. Dry, style & add volume to any hair type, as frizz is tamed & hair health is boosted.

THE DIGITAL SENSOR HAIRDRYER

The super smart Italian engineered & crafted hairdryer that actively protects against hair damage. Taking the guess work out of temperature, the optimised hair safe 70°C airflow is designed to fight frizz & protect against colour fade. For the fastest dry on all hair types, without heat damage.

THE DIGITAL SENSOR STRAIGHTENER

The Digital Sensor with Heat Protect Sensor Mode monitors & adjusts the plate temperature according to the characteristics of the hair, like moisture, to ensure optimal, consistent & even styling for healthy, protected hair.

I've never tried a product from VS - I don't recall anyway!? I'm soo keen to try the Hot Air Styler..looks interesting to use & my hair definitely needs volume everyday so if this can boost that up that would save on buying "volume booster" hair products all the time!

All three products sound amazing! i'd be happy to try any of them. The last time i tried the VS curling thing i have ( it's the one that sucks the hair in and curls it) i was left really scared because it got my hair stuck and i had to call one of my flatmates to come save my hair because i couldn't get it out of the curler and thought id had to chop my bit of hair that was in there. I was one very happy girl once my flat mate finally got my hair out of it. Have i used it since? NOPE

I'd love to try the digital sensor straightner as I've never owned a hair straightener as have been worried about it damaging my hair but this sounds amazing and would take the worry out of it. Which means I could style my hair way more than I do

My mom made off with both my straightener and my hair dryer so I would LOVE to try this out! I have curly/ very wavy hair so one that fights frizz sounds like an absolute dream!

The digital sensor hot air styler would be perfect for me at the moment as I have a newborn baby so I am currently just throwing my hair up in a bun after drying my hair as I don't have time for styling as well. I would love to trial this.

I love straighteners! I love not only the fact that you can have straight hair you can also curl! So versatile. The contraptions back in the day scare me senseless! Even the Iron hahaha. Thank goodness for modern day technology. I would love the opportunity to trial the straightener :)

I have used VS Sasson products before in the past one of the first straightners I bought was a vs sassoon. Lasted me about 9 years and it still sitting on my floor but it has now gone kaput and i would love the chance to trail the new straightner!

My current blowdryer is a VS Sasson and it works a treat. Other than losing the focussed blast attachment I like the product. With straight and thin hair it does't take long to dry. I blow dry my hair at least once a week so it's an essential, but it getting a bit old and I fear it will die soon...

would love to try the digital sensor hair dryer! excited about the fact that it fights frizz as I have naturally frizzy hair and every other dryer iv used just intensifies my frizz even more so would love to see how this one compares to the others Iv tried :)

A hard choice between hairdryer and sensor straightener- but think the dryer wins out as I often avoid doing my hair because it’s wet and my arms hurt after trying to wrangle my brick of a hairdryer so I jut don’t bother!

I’d love to trial one of these vs hair tools, I have used many hairdryers and straighteners over my years of hairdressing so would give an honest and fair review, I like the look of the dryer being more balanced

I have a no brand hairdryer that I bought from a salon (same one they used at the time) and I did the maths and realised its about 14 years old now - fair to say, it doesn't get used much and its not that great. I do have some VS straighteners, they are old, big and heavy, so again, they don't get used. They cost me a fortune and sadly, my ones that I bought for 1/10th the price whilst in the USA, that can't be used here are better!

I'd love to try these. They look so lightweight and being fresh and shiny and new compared my old heavy products!

I would love to try the hairdryer! My first VS product was a crimper with interchangeable crimp plate sizes! I rocked the whole crimped head to my year 7 disco!
