Have You Used a VS Sassoon Product Before?

My first styler was a Vidal Sassoon (as it was known back then) 2-in-1 straightener and crimper.  Not gonna lie.  Never used the straightening plates.  Why would anyone opt for straight over crimped?!  I remember it being heavy and cumbersome to use.   Not as heavy or cumbersome as some of these vintage stylers mind.

Imagine being that lady sitting under that magnificent looking hair dryer back in 1928.  You'd have thought your salon was on the cutting edge {puntastic.  #sorrynotsorry} of technology.

Or how about this hair raising {Not gonna stop.  Puns are life} curler from 1922.  I mean could there be a more glam way to get the twenties waves?!

Iron be damned {a stretch to be fair} it's an actual iron.  'Fess up, we bet some of you have done this!!

Alright, so that three-step through the history of hair tools is a bit grim.  I mean can you imagine the damage our ladies of yesteryear put their hair through?  And the size of them!  Even the iron - you'd hardly want to throw it in your overnight bag for on-the-go styling would you?!

Thankfully, times have changed.  Tools are smaller.  Safer.  Kinder to your hair.  And just when you think we've reached the epitome of hair tech sophistication, some clever sausage comes along with something even better.

Like those super smart folk at VS Sassoon.  Their latest Digital Sensor range,  consists of a trio of hair styling tools that boast some pretty impressive tech.  These products don't just work at an 'optimum' temperature - they actually adapt and react to the hair they're styling.  The Digital Sensor range does things like; maintaining a uniform & consistent airflow, eliminating hot spots that cause damage to the hair fibre and monitoring moisture in the hair, to ensure optimal, consistent & even styling for healthy, protected hair.

THE DIGITAL SENSOR HOT AIR STYLER

From slicked-back to salon blow-outs, this styler does it all with easy one-handed styling. With heat protection technology, the rotating brush provides engineered-to-perfection airflow. Dry, style & add volume to any hair type, as frizz is tamed & hair health is boosted.

THE DIGITAL SENSOR HAIRDRYER

The super smart Italian engineered & crafted hairdryer that actively protects against hair damage. Taking the guess work out of temperature, the optimised hair safe 70°C airflow is designed to fight frizz & protect against colour fade. For the fastest dry on all hair types, without heat damage.

THE DIGITAL SENSOR STRAIGHTENER

The Digital Sensor with Heat Protect Sensor Mode monitors & adjusts the plate temperature according to the characteristics of the hair, like moisture, to ensure optimal, consistent & even styling for healthy, protected hair.

THE DIGITAL SENSOR HOT AIR STYLER looks handy

31st October, 2018

Wow what an awesome trial opportunity......please pick me I would love to trial either the hair dryer or the hot air styler please. My hair is always a fizzy mess and it could do with some serious taming, I try not to use heating products on my hair anymore but if these work that would be amazing to get me back on the path to great hair again

Having long hair I use a blow dryer and straighteners several times a week, and my straighters are now past their use by date. I recently borrowed my daughters GHDs and loved then, I could make curls! I have the big paddle straightners, they definitely don't make curls. Would love to try this new VD sensor straightener, sounds ideal for getting volume and curls into otherwise flat hair.

31st October, 2018

I have thin, flat hair that I wear in two styles - UP or DOWN. Either way I wear it my hair lacks any volume or real 'style'. I've tried different mousses, shampoos and treatments to add volume, but alas, none have delivered and I've pretty much given up any hope of adding some life to this mop. It would be incredible to try the VS Sassoon Digital Sensor Hot Air Styler. It sounds easy to use, which is a bonus for me as I am a busy working mum. The fact that this is also said to boost hair health has me intrigued.

I would really love to trial and review the straightener. I've never straightened my hair but always admired women that do/have, I dont have time or funds being a single part time working mumma to have done at a salon so would be pretty amazing to be able to do it myself and feel pampered abit. Deff keen to share my experience here and on social media and see just how awesome VS was sassoon products really are

Hi would love to try the hairdryer, can never find one that works as well as the hairdressers one and reasonably priced

30th October, 2018

Easy and time-friendly hair styling would be awesome! I'd love to try the Digital Sensor Hot Air Styler to help cut my hair prep time down in the mornings :)

30th October, 2018

Easy one handed styling is definitely my dream. I am still haunted by the smell of singeing hair the last time I tried a straightener, and had a weird kink going on. As a consequence, a bit wary of srraighteners so I'd love to try either the hot air styler or hairdryer. It'd be great to get some real style as I've been a "brush and go" gal for so long. Time to tame the frizz and get some sophistication!

I have a straightener is the only one I have used for about 5 years a Remington Pearl it does the job , I will like to see if the VS Sassoon can beat my Remington Pearl , I like the sound of all the good features ... game on! I need to tested :P

I would love to try the hairdryer! I blow dry my hair everyday without fail, this one looks fantastic. Would be great to see if the heat damage stops while using this too. And the frizzy flyaway's can go too!

29th October, 2018

I need this hot air styler! I’m into big beautiful vintage styles that require volume and frizz taming!

29th October, 2018

I currently have a VS straightener and it's amazing but i have never tried their hairdryers before. I have mid-length, thick straight hair but find that every time I blow dry my hair, it gets super frizzy and very dry. As I have a lot of hair, it takes a while to dry my hair, so would love a hair dryer that keeps it as sleek as possible as well as drying it quicker. Plus this hairdryer looks super stylish!

Wow what an amazing trial opportunity! I'd love to trial either the hair dryer or the hot air styler! My hair seems to be quite frizzy at the moment, so I'd love to see if these products can combat that.

29th October, 2018

Would love to try this product. I have had the same GHD for nearly 10years so think I am ready for new straightener.

29th October, 2018

I would absolutely love to try the digital sensor straightener. At the moment I have a GHD but it hasnt really been as amazing as everyone says and I have always wanted to give something else a go. I am always keen to try new things, the problem is I dont have the money to try things out all the time so when an opportunity like this comes up you have to try and grab it when you can. So please consider me tor this trial

My first ever hair straightener was a VS Sassoon and I don't think I paid more than about $20 for it. I all honesty, a straightener of that price was never going to perform miracles, but it did the job for me during my pre-teen years.
