Kellie Confession: I am a complete consumer.
Show me pretty makeup and I'm oohing and aaahing. Show me a cool new beauty gadget and I've ready to test it out. Innovation in skincare? You bet I'll be buying it. My credit card should really be taken off my hands. Especially at this time of the year... because the silly seaons sees brands releasing limited edition awesomeness and gift pack amazingness... and I want it all.
And I'm not the only one. The Beauty Review crew are every bit as enamoured by the goodies as I am... and because sharing is caring we thought we'd share some of the hot holiday releases with you that have us going all heart-eyed.
Every since BR Merilyn gifted each of the BR Crew an Ecoya pine candle a few Christmas' ago, we've been hooked. It's like an old-school real-life Christmas tree in a candle. Fresh, piney, humming with festive cheer... with the added bonus of not having to vacuum up pine needles on the daily.
Hourglass powders are the things dreams are made of. They make makeup easy. Sweep and go. Sweep and go. Beautiful. As part of their holiday season releases Hourglass have created the Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4. Six shades. Four best-sellers alongside two new ane exclusive powders. It's not the most affordable but it will make your skin look like an angel has breathed unicorn fart dust all over it.
This year's Christmas collection, Shiny Pretty Things, from MAC is all THAT! The glittery eyeshadoes. The festive red lipstick and lipglass. The cosmetic and brush makeup packs. All the swoons. But it's Snow Flushed that has caught our eye - especially when we got wind of it being a giant version of last year's epic Stylishly Merry eyeshadow. Who's flushed with excitement? We are! And it's not from the snow!
For the person who loves to get their glow on this limited edition mini Shimmer Brick from Bobbi Brown is sure to elicit a gasp of joy. (There's also a limited edition Bobbi Brown mini highlighting powder too!)
Can Sephora just hit our shores good and proper already? How cute is this limited edition set? A black eye pencil and a nude shadow - that's an eye look ready to rock right there!
Princess RiRi brings it again. She has the makeup midas touch. The Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Palette features a range of highlighter shades that can take you from woe to glow! Best of all they can double as eyeshadows - so if a purple or blue highlight isn't your thing you can pop the shades on your eyes.
Is there anything more festive than a red lippy? Aside from a pile of pressies under the tree with our name on then we say NO. There is not. And his holiday release from Lancome is to be adored. A gorgeous shade of red, a star-embossed bullet, encased in gold packaging. Stunning.
Does it get any more Christmassier than this? An eyeshadow palette that is infused with the tummy-rumbling scent of gingerbread? We'd just be sitting round the office with our noses to the palette all day... And we don't see that as a bad thing.
Bold bright eyeshadows aren't everyone's cup of tea - nor are a million shades in a palette that you probably won't use - which is why we loooooove this release from Ciaté. The Glitter Storm palette features six very wearable shades with three glitters. Oh, and can we talk about the packaging? The glitter and stars float around and it's soooooo watchable. How do I know? Soon as it came out I bought it. This is a keeper that will take you from day to night, from party to party with ease!
While sniffing an eyeshadow palette in the office is one thing, walking around and sniffing yourself in public is quite the other... But once people get a whiff of this delicious holiday release from Molton Brown we think they'll understand.
So there you have it - some of the holiday releases that have well and truly taken our fancy. It's a great time to be alive! So, have you had your eye on any of these? Are there other Christmas releases on your wish list? Spill the beans... because consumer sharing is consumer caring!
