Get Your Glow On! Top Rated Glow-Getting Primers!

Discovering glow-enhancing primers was a life-enhancing moment for yours truly. It was like magic watching my tired ol' skin come alive as I swiped and wiped Clarins Beauty Flash Balm on my skin. Since then I've never looked back, and if a primer doesn't glow.... it has to go! (Slight exaggeration...I use a glow-enhacing primer everwhere, and because I'm a bit extra I'll pat a pore-minimising primer on my cheeks/nose/between the brows...)

So what are the Top Rated glow-creating primers on Beauty Review? Take a look... and get ready to get glowing!

MAC Prep + Prime Skin - 4.5/5

They say:  A lightweight gel lotion formulated with special-effect silicones. Evens out skin redness and skin tone while adding radiance. Improves the laydown and application of foundation or powder.

You say:  The primer feels rather silky I suppose a bit like silicone. It has a slight shimmer to it which adds a subtle luminescence to the skin without looking like you have rubbed glitter all over your face. It guides/absorbs into my skin well and it makes my make up look fantastic and last all day. BR Member - Emily-jane.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm - 4.4/5

They say:  CLARINS Beauty Flash Balm helps eliminate signs of fatigue in a flash! Instantly moisturizes, brightens and tightens facial contours so skin looks rested and relaxed.

You say:  This is the best cream ever!! I have mature skin and have been using this product now for at least 5-10 years and it does exactly what it says it will do. It is perfect over your moisturiser and fantastic under makeup. Your skin glows and feels smooth and youthful.  BR Member - Nearly-fifty.

L'Oréal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer - 4.2/5

They say:  Enlighten your complexion with a light infusing primer. Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer is a unique liquid light formula that blends seamlessly into skin to boost its liveliness and luminosity. Texture is smoothed and toned for a natural-looking complexion.

You say:  The light-infusing formula is lightweight and easy to apply (and you don't need much so the bottle will last a while), I love the pump (have I mentioned it's easy?) and it primes the skin beautifully. I wear it beneath my BB cream and it gives my skin a beautiful glow that, at age 47, I thought I'd lost forever.  BR Member - AmandaD.

MAC Strobe Cream - 4.1/5

They say:  Super-powered with potent botanicals; de-snoozes, de-stresses, moistens, freshens and boosts the look of dull, flat or tired-looking skin with a fully loaded vitamin zap and a mega dose of green tea. Brightens and clarifies with iridescent particles and antioxidants.

You say:  This may be a bit pricey for a moisturiser, but it is definitely worth every penny. It is great for those minimal makeup days or when you don’t want to put any makeup on at all. It gives a gorgeous glow to skin and it personally makes me look awake and alive - very good for those early mornings.  BR Member - alzeeee

I like tje smashbox glow pallet

6th July, 2019

I enjoy using MAC Prep and Prime. it gives my face a nice look and lasts the day

24th June, 2019

I use WetnWilds dewy lumineux primer. Sometimes I mix it with my foundation or alone with concealer and it gives my skin a nice healthy look.

17th June, 2019

I've recently been using Arture's Rose Water Glow mist and loving it.

7th June, 2019

I used to have a luminous cream that looked great under or mixed with foundation for a glow. Have not tried any of these primers. It's a bit of a worry though that if you apply shimmer everywhere it could actually make blemishes more obvious

5th June, 2019

Would love a nice and silky primer that could prevent foundations highlighting my expression lines. Even better if it had spf hahahaha =D. I wouldn’t mind a glowing primer, but only if it’s not pearly or glittery.

4th June, 2019

Oooh I really want to try one of these

4th June, 2019

I don't have a glowy primer atm. I think I might have the Za one for dullness but I'm waiting to use up my one from Za for redness first.

The Clarins primer is on my list. I've tried a sample and love it.

The Mecca Lit From Within Illuminating Primer is also good. Great smooth consistency and the faintest of tints to even out skin tone... I use it by itself sometimes instead of foundation

3rd June, 2019

I don't think I have ever used a glow primer. They sound great!

2nd June, 2019

I'd love to give some of these a try. The L'Oréal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer looks like something I'd use.

MAC and Clarins sound amazing but expensive. And I've tried the L'Oreal one which is decent. But I never find I quite get the glow I'm after.
