Ah, don't you just love this time of year? The air is warmer. The days are longer. The urge to rush home after work, pull on the pj's and binge watch a show disappears as the pull of going out to a bar or restaurant with friends and spending hours chatting over a glass of something yum and a plate of something yummer (that's totally a word, even if the dictionary says it's not...) takes over.
So what's a gal to do when she finishes the work day feeling all drab and needs to look fab in five? Check out these simple tips!
They say the eyes have it, so let them have it! Amp up the eyeliner! Take an eye liner pencil (or a liquid liner if you have nerves of steel and doing a wing at work doesn't give you nightmares) and get to work emphasising your peepers. Make a booboo? Smoke it out and no one will know!
Then, wave your magic wand! Lashes looking more like spindly, tired insect legs than lush lovelies? Pull out your favourite mascara, wiggle the wand through and give them that much needed boost!
With the sun still in the sky or the downlights at the bar hitting your cheekbones there's no excuse to not get your shine on! A little highlighter added to the high points of your face can take your look from day to slay in no time! (Oh, and it can double as an eyeshadow if yours has gone the way of the dodo!)
Nothing elevates a look like a bright lippy! So if you need to look pulled together in a hurry then pull out a bright bullet of prettiness and get swiping. Fuchsia, coral, fire-engine red - be brave, be bold, be a babe!
Is your post-work hair dull and drab, flat and foul (okay, foul's probably a massive exaggeration, but I do love me a bit of alliteration)? Then give it a boost with a spritz of volumising dry shampoo! Any oil, or potential oil, will be sucked up good and proper, and those roots will be given a bouncy new lease of life. Salon-fab hair, sorted!
So, there you have it - five simple tricks to take you from day to night, from work to play, from ho-hum to hot and humming! Now, do tell, what are your tips for a quick and easy makeover? Sharing is caring!
