Five Minutes To Fab! The BEST Beauty Tricks!

We've all been there. Peacefully sleeping, dreaming of our best life living by the sea with a little dog and Keanu Reeves (insert whoever floats your boat and/or your preferred pet here) as our sweetest pea, when a tsunami of panic slams into us. We wake, our hearts racing, stare blearily at our mobile and leap out of bed.

We're late. We're late! For a very important date! No, not with Mr Reeves, but to get to work, school, an appointment. Something terribly banal, but something we can not be late for, and simply where we can not turn up looking like we've been dragged backwards through a hedge!

How to pull ourselves together? Check out these quick and easy tip and tricks that'll have you out the door looking fresh and fab!

Skincare

Running late? You can get away with running a wet flannel over your face. You can ignore your toner and serum for a day. But you can't skip moisturising. It plumps, it nourishes, it hydrates. It colludes with you in the lie that says you've been up for hours. So even if you only have time to do one thing for your face - make it smooshing in the moisturiser.

Hair

Dry shampoo, baby! How I lived my life for so long unaware of the magic in a can that is dry shampoo I will never know. A few squirts and a whizz through with your fingers and your hair's oil is sucked up long enough for you to throw it up into a do, and get through the day until such a time you can hit the shower for a hair refresh.

Speaking of hair do's... scraping your hair into a pony tail, pinning it down into a bun, and then squirting a little hairspray onto an old toothbrush and taming the flyaways will always result in a pulled together look.

Makeup

You know Skinimalism is in, right? So pop on a tinted moisturiser, concealer as required, mascara and a tinted lip balm no one will know you've only just rolled out of bed.

Feel the need to get a little extra with your makeup? Invest in a multipupose product - a tint that works for cheeks/eyes and lips - and you'll be rocking monochromatic makeup!

Also, cream/liquid formulas, whether for foundation, blush, eyeshadow, bronzer, highlighter or lip colours, were made for quick and easy 'if I don't get out the door now my boss is going to have my guts for garters' application.

And there you have it. Quick, easy fixes to get you out the door looking fab in five minutes or less!

So, do tell, our beauties? Have you mastered the five minute fix? What are you tips and tricks when the alarm clock clicks over from 'you're fine' to 'you're out of time'?

Gosh with kids there's no time for much at all. Keeping spare brush and things in your bag or car is good for pick me ups on the go

I love the tip about a multipurpose product! Lips and cheek make you look awake and are the most important!

I like to push snooze a few times lol so am often short of time. I am however pretty quick at getting ready, i put my hair in a messy bun and use hairspray on any flyaways then a quick moisturise and slap on a foundation or bb cream, it literally takes a minute to apply and blend. One thing I will never leave the house without applying is my trusty roll on deodorant lol.

Sometimes it's just skincare, a little concealer, mascara and a lip tint... I don't tend to short-cut my skincare though.

If I don't have time, i only do my skin care and a bit of product for my hair. I don't do any makeup at all.

Opps. Dry shampoo has been a really handy product for me. Long hair isn't a quick wash so being able to get a day or two extra is a bonus.
