Do You Wear Nail Polish Every Day?

Poll posted by BR Natalie

There was a time in my life when my nails were always painted. It was around my mid-uni years, when I was in my early 20s and looking back; evidently had a lot of free time in the evenings.

Now I'm not talking about flash nail art (that was only during the times I'd stump up the cash for a professional to do them) but I'd always make sure my nails had a pristine coat of polish on them.  It made me feel put together, even when I was less than!

I'm not sure what changed, you'd think working in the industry I do, my nails would still be cared for.  Alas, I look down at my typing digits to see bare naked nails.  To be completely honest, they're not even neat, I mean seriously Nat, is it really that hard to pull out an emery board once a week?!

And let's not even start on my toe nails.  Although to be fair, it's not sandal season yet and I've always lumped toe nail painting in the same category as leg shaving.  It's a Summer thing, unless you know they're going to be on show.

I think, as much as I detest the time-poor excuse, for me, my nail painting, or lack there of, really does come down to time.  At least in the sense that I'd rather spend that 10 minutes doing something else.  Maybe even nothing at all.  And when you spend 10 minutes putting nail polish on, you're commiting time in the future to remove it!

Well we've found what might be the fastest - and easiest way to remove nail polish.

The Manicare Moisturising Nail Polish Remover Pads offer a quick and convenient way to remove nail polish.  No more spilling liquid removers, or searching the house for a cotton pad to use with it!  These pads effectively remove nail polish while brightening the nail and moisturising the skin around it.  And of course - they're acetone free!

We're looking for reviewers to put these pads to the test and report back!

If you'd like a spot on this trial team, why not chat to us below.  Are you the type of lady whose nails are always painted and neat?  Or, like me, are they just left a little neglected?  How do you usually remove your nail polish?  Or do you commit the ultimate polish sin and rock chipped and peeled colour for weeks?!

I had acrylics for nearly 11 years took them off and it has taken 2 years for me to have half decent nails I Use nail polish remover to remove my polish but find it really messy and wasteful Pads would be so much easier I believe no spillage would love to try them

I have hundreds of nail polishes would love to see how these remover wipes compare to others I've tried

I have my nails done once a month and these would be perfect

I have gone back to doing my own manicures - Yes a gel looks great and lasts a long time but they alsp peel and when the nail grows you get that lifting at the cuticle which catches on everything. Once a month i do the full manicure, cuticles, oils etc i prefer to use plain colours and change it when i get bored or it chipsand chipped nails look nasty.

Would be cool to see how these react to different brands of nail polish

I have long nails and wear polish all the time. Normally darkish colours mainly reds purples and orangey shades love glittery and shimmer colours which can be a pain to remove sometimes. It would be interesting to see how well the remover pads work especially as I don't remove the polish for a couple of weeks I normally just keep recounting it as removing too often weakens the nails. Mine are long and extremely strong. I do my own manicures have only ever been to a nail bar about 3-4 times in my life and I'm 50 several....

my daughter occassionally does a gel manicure for me. she painted my toes last week! otherwise i dont usually do anything to them

I much prefer these handy little nail polish remover pads to standard bottles of acetone. So much more convenient!

I've tried these pads and they're much easier to use than liquid.

I love doing my nails, this would be perfect for tidying up the skin around the nail afterwards! I use this sally hansen remover that you dip your finger into a pot. But I have to buy an additional bottle of liquid nail remover for clean ups.

These sound safe to have in the cupboard no worries the toddlers going to get her hands on that! I wish I wore nail polish more often but it's one area I'm super slack with. Keen to read how these go though.

My nails are hardly painted these days unless it's for a special occasion. They tend to chip easily on my nails, so I've given up on them.

I have the same problem as well. I love the look of my nails but then after spending a long time waiting for them to dry I find they chip in the next day or two while washing dishes even if I am wearing gloves.

Dishes, showers, washing hands, all chip away my nail polish as well. I even tried applying base and top coats to try make it last, but that didn't work.

I love painting my nails especially now they are super long and looking great. I am a bit fussy though and hate it when they start looking less than perfect, I just removed some silver glitter polish and Omg what a mission it was to remove! I am nearly out of nail polish remover and these sound very convenient. Would love to be on this trial :-)

Glitter polish is the hardest to remove! Even with the different tips and tricks I find it more trouble than it is worth. I go for non chunky glitter formulas now.

Lol it is the first time I've worn it so was like omg its not coming off! Took a lot of elbow grease for sure.

The easiest way to remove glitter polish is to soak it off like you would gel polish by applying a piece of cotton pad soaked in nail polish remover (cut the rounds in 4), then secure it with a square of foil. Leave for a few minutes and then remove.

Awesome thanks for the tip Silvene! I will do that next time.

There is not a day that goes by when my nails are not painted! I have lost count as to how many bottles of polish I have [Husband says I am a hoarder like it is a bad thing?]. I will use a liquid polish remover with a cotton ball or a make up remover pad. I really dislike chipped nails and so I will usually do my nails 2 or 3 times a week while I am watching tv in the evenings. The hardest thing is deciding which colour to use.

I hate chipped nails too! Mine comes off straight away :-)

That is so dedicated! I only do my nails once a week.

You must be amazing at painting your nails. I struggle so much to get it neat. If I paint my nails once a week it's good. Although will have to wait till my eczema on my hand clears up. Will have fun with my toes once it's warm enough to go sockless.

I work in retail and I like to look as good as I can while at work. Its kind of a hobby I guess, or something to do while I am watching tv.

7th August, 2018 at 6:48 pm

I paint my toes all year round, they are bright red atm lol even though it is winter but i do give them a break every now and then. not so much into manis as I play sports. Would like to trial these remover pads

I find my pedicures last about two to two and half weeks. If only my mani lasted that long for all the effort. But when you wash dishes, cook and clean it's wishful thinking.
