Do You Seek Out Do-It-All Products?

Today we're looking at skin care do-it-all products.  When it comes to skin care you can either purchase products to target very specific concerns, like say, an uneven skin tone or fine lines.  Or you can look for a product that tackles various causes of an issue, or offers a solution to more than one skincare problem.

Products that tackle more than one concern are generally more cost effective and environmentally friendly.  They also mean we don't have to cart our whole beauty kit around with us, or clutter our vanities with dozens of jars and pots and tubes.

And what about TIME?!  A do-it-all product saves us time.  I mean seriously, how long does it take you to cycle through your skincare routine?  Applying something to address this, something to fix that, leaving each product for a few minutes before applying the next and so on.  WHO has the time?!

We're putting the Olay Total Effects 7 in One Day Cream to the test.  It is what it sounds like - a daily facial cream that tackles 7 effects of ageing:

  1. Fine lines and wrinkles: reduces the appearance of fine line and wrinkles.
  2. Uneven tone: balances and evens out skin tone.
  3. Age spots: reduces appearance of age spots.
  4. Uneven texture: smoothes and evens out skin texture.
  5. Dryness: provides nourishing moisturisation.
  6. Dullness: gives skin a healthy radiance.
  7. Pores: minimises the appearance of pores.

This lovely product nourishes, softens and smooths your skin and improves tired-looking skin leaving you looking healthy, fresh and radiant.  All while reducing the look of fine lines and spots.  It's also oil-free, fast-absorbing, dermatologically tested and  non-comedogenic.  Oh and it also has SPF15 to help protect against sun exposure, the number one cause of premature visible ageing!

Fancy being one of the forty reviewers trialing it for us?  Tell us your skin care woes, and how you usually tackle them.  Do you look for a product that does it all?  Or do you buy individual products for very targeted concerns?

I like to use as few products on my skin as possible, it would be great to use one product to target so many skin woes. I identify with most of the skin problems that this product targets!

I seem to have drier skin the more I age and now I'm into my mid 50's wrinkles are starting to appear. I cannot go out anywhere without putting moisturiser on my skin as it starts to get really dry and flaky. As a Mum to 3 teenagers and older, I seem to be always racing around looking after them and then trying to put my makeup on so I can start work on time. Time is always of the essence and I would love a moisturiser to do it all so it isn't so stressful in the mornings.

I had never thought about buying products that combat a big variety of my skin woes, This has peaked my interest like you wouldn't believe. I use a cream cleanser, a toner and a moisturiser but I find that all three do not help with my 'laugh lines', my uneven skin tone and my very dry and stinging patch of skin. They all help keep my skin nice but they never really do it all ya know. So if I could get all that packed in to one easy jar I am in face first. I would love to see if this would give me the confidence in my skin I can only dream about so yes please.

I really like products that do as many different things as possible as it's just so much more time and cost effective. At the moment I;m trying to target the dullness and dryness that winter is bringing to my skin.

This sounds like the perfect cream for me! I actually don't currently use a day cream, only at night and need something that does what this says it will do :) Would love to be a part of this trial team as I love Olay.

I try to keep it as simple as possible but at the moment I'm probably only getting 1/7 of these things out of my moisturiser! That's quite shocking. If I can get more out of one product then it's definitely a winner for me!

I LOVE the idea of do all products - cuts down my time of getting ready in the morning and means I feel like I'm putting less product on my face but it does everything. I would LOVE to try this.

If this product does what it says I’d be so keen to try it. I’m definitely starting to see more fine lines and I’ve always had uneven skin. I’ve always had a very good skincare routine thanks to my mum who had very sensitive skin and bouts of eczema, Olay was one of the brands she used regularly, so I do trust their products.

This would be a dream come true! I have limited time but always wash my face with a good cleanser, whack on a bit of serum and apply an anti-aging moisturiser. My main problems at the moment are lines around my eyes and mouth as well as redness and a bit of uneven skin tone. I'm all for trying out products that save time and improve my skin.

Now I have different products for different issues however being a busy mum it really will be helpful to have all in one product. My concerns now are wrinkles, brown spots and not healthy color. I use serums and face oils at the moment.

A product that does all miracles hands down! Why make things more difficult than they need to be with multiple products. I naturally have combination skin with oily and dry parts of my face so do currently use specialised products to tackle certain problems. A scrub for blackheads, a mask/ cleanser to get rid of dead skin and a moisturiser for day and night. Phew! Can we get that down to one??

4th June, 2018

Yes I love a product that can do it all. Looking for a new B.B. cream as the one I have at the mo has a big jump in shades and I think I fit in between the shades. Would love to try this.

My skin is dull and uneven and has been feeling very dry in this chilly weather. I feel like my skincare routine needs to fit in with my lifestyle so it needs to be quick and easy, do-it-all and do-it-well for me to use it regularly otherwise it'll join the countless other products that I have barely used. I like the fact that this day cream has SPF which is nice especially for winter when I really don't want to be using sunscreen as well.

Having a multi tasking product to assist with the day to day worries that we have we skin would be perfect, I admit I have a list of what my product should do, so when I go hunting I have high expectations, my main concerns are redness, dryness, (oh I never thought I would say that)) wrinkles (it just got real) I try to take good care of myself, and with so many on the market it’s hard to know where to look! So I’ll be following this one with great interest !

This product sounds amazing! I'm especially keen to see if it really will reduce pore size and bring back some radiance to my skin. Pick me!! :)
