Do You Look For Vegan Products?

The new GARNIER ORGANICS range isn't available in NZ yet, but we've got our hands on it.  ALL OF IT.  And we'll be recruiting 4 different trial teams to each put various products to the test.

Fun fact time - The majority of the Beauty Crew are Vegetarian.  One of us is Vegan.  Me, I've been a Vegetarian since birth, my Mummy doesn't like cooking meat and so I grew up meat-free, and it stuck.

All of the Garnier Organics products have Vegan ingredients, and it got me to wondering - is this an important factor in beauty products for other people?  People make dietary choices for many reasons - health, beliefs or convenience - but do they extend their choices to the beauty products they choose?

And if you're not Vegan or Vegetarian, what do you think when buying a product that carries the V-leaf?  Do you feel they're a softer, kinder choice to your skin and the environment?  Or does it makes no difference to your feelings towards a product?

We're putting the Garnier Organic Cornflower Micellar Water  to the test.  This micellar water is enriched with organic cornflower and barley water to cleanse and nourish the skin.  It promises to remove waterproof and longwear make-up!

It is Cosmos Organic certified by Soil Association according to COSMOS standard.  The Cornflower has been specifically selected by Garnier and sourced with respect for biodiversity.  It comes from France where it is organically produced.  The bottle contains 100% recycled plastic and is 100% recyclable.

So if you'd like to put this product to the test, tell us - do you pay particular attention to the ingredients in the product and whether they compliment your dietary choices?  Are you a Vegan or Vegetarian and do you struggle to find products that work with you, and fit in with your beliefs?

one of my new years resolutions was to only use more animal friendly, organic, natural products. I am not vegan/vegetarian (for medical reasons) but make sure any meat i have is all about being naturally raised and cruelty free. Its been hard to make this transition for some beauty products, so this would be amazing to try!

I love vegan products . I have piece of mind using them . I’d love all the other brands to eventually follow this trend. I wear full face make up daily. I’m keen to give this a go.

I've made the change this year to have a diet consisting of vegetarian and mostly plant based and it has changed my life and now i'm wondering if vegan skin care will improve my skin as much as my diet has.

I’m not a vegan or vegetarian but I do try and eat as many veggies as possible. I’m definitely conscious of what goes on my skin so I try and use natural products where possible. I’d love to take part in this trial.

I look for cruelty-free products and if at all possible where ingredients are for the most part natural.

I am not strictly vegan or vegetarian but I very much limit my intake of meat and meat products to reduce my impact on the environment. I love the sound of this new range by Garner; good on them for thinking of the environment. I hope they are looking into environmentally sustainable packaging too! Would love to try this range

I’m person to vegan, but I do try to make responsible and concisous decisions regarding what I use on my face

I’ve never really thought of checking whether a skincare/makeup is vegan. I hope it’s not another “green washing” trends...

What a gorgeous lookjng range! Would love to trial natural products they always seem to have a feel good factor when using them. I'm not a vegan but do love organic skincare ranges as they can be powerful ingredients when used in minute quantities.

I am not vegan or vegetarian but I make conscientious effort to look into products that vibe with my values of not testing on animals/cruelty free. Would love to trial this as my skin is sensitive.

4th February, 2020

I have very sensitive skin so prefer to purchase things that have less chemicals in them or are more natural

4th February, 2020

While I am not vegan I do not see a need for animal products in skincare so do look at the ingredients before purchasing

4th February, 2020

Not necessarily that I look for vegan products but I do look at ingredients for the products I use for hair and skin. The more natural and less chemical the better. Would like to trial this range

I actually have no idea why I do but I always look at vegan products first. These look awesome but I get out off buying stuff in plastic bottles. Wish these big companies would look at different packagings

4th February, 2020

I’m not vegan or vegetarian but I will be happy to trial vegan/vegetarian-friendly products. I’m very much into skincare and it’s always good to know products with less chemicals these days.
