By BR Kellie

One dreams of dousing oneself in La Mer everything. Alas, unless a secret billionaire spinster uncle dies and leaves me his fortune, it's not going to happen anytime soon. Thankfully, there are plenty of fantastic, affordable skin care options out there. Which are the best? Which are the most budget-friendly?

Take a look at these*....

Makeup Remover

Goodness Break-up Make-up Balm - RRP $19.99

They say:  I’m a 100% natural slick-quickie at removing all sorts of make-up. With all the goodness of chia seed, coconut and avocado oils, your skin will be oh-so-clean and super soft.

You say:  I was amazed by how much makeup came off my face with this product. I'm very impressed. It leaves the skin feeling very soft and moisturised, without feeling heavy on the skin. I will definitely be buying more of this!  BR Member - scarlettraine

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - RRP $13.99

They say:  Like a magnet, the cleansing agents capture and lift away dirt from the skin. No need to rub to remove impurities and make-up. The Result - Perfectly cleansed and refreshed skin without rubbing or rinsing.

You say:  This is currently my number one way to remove my makeup! I can usually remove my entire makeup with two cotton pads and this removes it all including my stubborn eye makeup! And it's so cheap!  BR Member - emilypurchase

Skinfood Exfoliating Scrub - RRP $13.99

They say:  Every day your skin sheds dead skin cells as it regenerates itself. Most of these are washed away with your daily cleanse however some manage to remain and can make the skin appear dull. Skinfood Exfoliating Scrub is packed full of nutrients to keep skin nourished.

You say:  I love this exfoliator, it is so natural and creamy, and doesn't feel at all drying as some others I have tried have! This is very gentle and makes my skin feel so nice and smooth and is fantastic at removing dry/dead skin. I use this 3 times a week and it has my skin looking and feeling great!  BR Member - bonnietaylor

Face Mask

Skinfood Mud Masque - RRP $13.95

Combined with spirulina, Vitamin E and apricot oil, Skinfood's Mud Masque gets deep into the pores to help remove built up dirt and dead skin cells from the face.

You say:  This has to be one of the best mud masques around, and it's so affordable! The mud is nice and thick but easy to spread, and always leaves my face soft, clean, and glowing - no dryness. Definitely a winner.  BR Member - KiwiLass

They say:  SIMPLE'S 100% alcohol-free Soothing Facial Toner with Pro-Vitamin B5, Chamomile and Witch Hazel, keeps skin toned, refreshed and looking healthy.

A couple of great products there. Not a huge fan of the Goodness Cleansing Balm though as it made my skin really break out and was super greasy. Simple is a brand I've always had a high respect for as it was one of the brands that helped my skin when I was a teenager.
