I've spoken often about my love for discovering NZ brands - there's something quite special about Kiwi beauty products.  WELL when I got my mitts on today's product, I was excited.  It ticked all the boxes that should be ticked for the makings of a great skincare product.  In fact, I'd go as far as to say, this product might be revolutionary for its product type.

Introducing the Manuka Infused Makeup Remover Wipes.

I know that you're thinking.  A revolutionary wipe?  Well read on Cynical Cynthia.

The Manuka Infused Makeup Remover Wipes are scientifically formulated to gently cleanse the skin - including removing all makeup.  Yes even waterproof mascara!  The wipes are soothing to irritated skin and so hydrating you might not even need to moisturise after use.  They achieve all of this with a formula that is:

  • 99.9% Natural.
  • Alcohol Free
  • Hypoallergenic and Dermatologically Tested
  • Suitable for All Skin Types
  • Free from: Parabens, Sulphates, Silicones, Ethoxylates, Phthalates, PPG's, PEG, Mineral Oils and GMO
  • Not tested on animals
  • Biodegradeable.
  • And the packaging can be recycled.  Winning.

I feel like I'm forgetting something...that's it!  These wipes contain certified NZ Manuka Honey.  And not just a little bit.  Manuka Honey is the second highest ingredient following water.  How refreshing for the hero ingredient to actually be so high up on the list of ingredients!  And it's down to this hero honey that the Manuka Infused Makeup Remover Wipes can cleanse, soothe and hydrate ALL skin types.

What's the buzz around Manuka?

Manuka Honey is truly a gift from bees.  Specifically the bees that pollinate the Manuka Tree.  Manuka Honey is anti-microbial because it contains loads of sugar and very little water; so micro-organisms can't form and spread.  It also contains an enzyme that produces Hydrogen Peroxide, a proven antiseptic and antibacterial agent.

Manuka Honey is packed with vitamins and minerals, proteins and antioxidents.  Which, if you've taken Skincare 101, you'll know neutralise free radicals; lessening skin damaging and aiding the regeneration of new cells and tissue.

Manuka Honey is a natural humectant - it preserves and retains the skin's natural moisture.

So you see, taking allllllll of this into account...the Manuka Infused Makeup Remover Wipes really could be a game-changer in the wipe section, right?!

I've never tried Manuka honey products. I've heard Manuka honey is fantastic as a mask so I can only imagine what wipes would be like as a cleaner

Yes what is the buzz? Keen to try these out, not a fan of wipes as they have a tendency to dry out my skin after using them.

I spent 2 years of my early research career looking into the antibacterial properties of Manuka honey. I've been a dedicated fan every since! I would love to see what these wipes could do for my sensitive skin.

Wow! Just looking at all these comments makes me realize i am obviously missing out! I use manuka honey to help me and my children when we are sick or have a cold but never would i had thought about putting it in skincare. Would love to try it out especially convenient wipes!

Just remembered we use a manuka honey hand cream by wild ferns which is awesome (even hubby marvels about it). I am confused though, by all the different "types" of manuka and how their benefits vary.

I've had home made moisturizer and body lotion with this in before - it's the best and smells amazing. I'd love to trial this :)

As I have a dry skin I would live to trial the Manufacturer Honey, it sounds amazing and would truly be wonderful to try.

I've never tried Manuka Honey products but I've done a lot of reading about them. They're supposed to be really good so I'd love to give them a try.

I have been using the lovely moist wipes since they were available at my local New World in Wellington. Great for my dry skin and when travelling and takes off the eye makeup really well. Linda

I used raw manuka honey as face mask in my purging time and it worked miraculously. It soothes and cleans skin really well, especially for acne skin. Really love to try this product!

Only used manuka honey in tea or on a spoon for sore throats. Would love to give these a go :)

I haven't tried any honey based products yet, might have to try some out! I love that the packaging is biodegradable too :D

I’m very interested in any product that uses Manuka honey as an ingredient. I’ve heard many benefits from using for both health and skin care. A product I’m also interest in is living nature a product made in the far north NZ a friend of mine swears by it for acne prone skin, with one of the ingredients being Manuka honey. Would love to trial these makeup remover wipes

I love the smell of manuka honey. Will be excited to test these products out as I heard that manuka honey is antibacterial and soothing!

Manuka honey is known to assist your skin's natural regeneration process and enhance hydration (especially overnight). Would be interesting to see whether this particular product lives up to the Manuka reputation or if this is just another "natural" claim for the purpose of marketing.
