Does anyone remember Blackmore skincare range? I do it came in a mint blueish packaging I use to use it as a teenager it was my first skincare range ever. Why I mention this is because this product has the same scent as the range Balckmores, which had marshmallow in it aswell as ylang-ylang. The product had me sold on purchasing when seeing the word hyaloronic acid. It also has a very peculiar consistency it's gluggy slimey & thick not your normal fluid texture. Which is something to get use to however there's no wastage like a normal liquid toner which can absorb into your cotton pad this sits on the surface of the pad & absorbs into the skin once you've had time to apply it to your skin in sweeping motions. Now I've got the consistency out of the way & the scent being quite nice freshly fragrant & soothing to the senses time to get on with the performance and effects. Soothing to the skin it has a non intrusive feeling & so light once applied to my face even though it's slimy, thick & gluggy it's quite nice to apply. My skin seems to absorb the goodness of this toner & this toner even takes any residual grime on my skin after cleansing away from my skin. It leaves my skin hydrated & calm theres no tightening of my skin nor any stripping quite the reverse however the greatness of this toner it doesn't reduce the size of my pores, I'm putting my pore size down to lack of water in my diet & the fatty foods I eat. This actually leaves a layer on my skin if hydration especially at night I have sometimes not used a night serum & my skin will feel good still in the morning. I haent noticed some changes to my skin nothing radical but it is noticeable.
What I can also say is the consistency leaves you no room for wastING & with the bottle being a generous size there's alot of use in one bottle 1 months use 2x per day still sees me sitting 3/4 of a bottle fill. For an indication of how long this would last. would I repurchase yes I would.
I got this since I had tried out most of the Age-Proof range. This toner is described as a lotion but it's really more of a liquidy gel. I like to use this in the evening after I wash my face in the shower and pat it dry I like to pat this on my face. It takes at least a couple of minutes to absorb and while that's happening I apply my body oil or butter, throw on my bathrobe and haul my things back to my room by then the gel has completely absorbed and is ready for the first layer of serum I apply at night. Now this is really nice booster, especially during the winter as it adds more hydration to my skin in the winter especially coming out of a hot shower my skin really sucks up the moisture. When winter first started and my skin was first starting get dry, swapping out my regular spray toner for this gave my skin a moisture boost without adding another product to my routine. The scent is a mild one that I really don't notice anymore. I've used this twice a day for the past couple of months and I still have a third of the bottle left. One difference I do notice is that when I apply this in the morning it seems to take a bit longer to absorb than when I apply it at night, probably because my skin is a bit drier and my pores are all open after a hot shower. It is made with gentle and natural ingredients so I really like it. The ingredients are water, aloe vera, caprylyl/capryl wheat bran/straw glycosides (and) water (and) fusel wheat bran/straw glycosides (and) polyglyceryl-5 oleate (and) sodium glutamate (and) glyceryl caprylate, white tea extract, kiwi fruit extract, licorice root extract, cucumber extract, marshmallow root extract, mulberry root extract, hyaluronic acid, ylang ylang flower oil, glycerin, xanthan gum, citric acid, dehydroacetic acid (and) benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, benzyl salicylate, farnesol, linalool, dehydroacetic acid (and) benzyl alcohol. I really do like using this and I would definitely recommend this to anyone with just a few products in their routine looking to add a moisture boost without adding another step in their routine, especially if you don't layer on a lot of serums in between your cleanser and moisturizer. I would consider repurchasing this especially since the bottle has lasted me a long time.
Tips: This is a good toner to use for the 7 toner/skin Korean trend that involves slapping on 7 layers of toner between your cleansing and moisturizer steps. The instructions on the box tells you to squeeze a small amount on a cotton pad and wipe it gently over your skin taking care around your eyes, you can do that but I get more uses out of this product pouring a small amount into my hands and patting it on my face. Especially since this is more of a moisturizing toner and I double cleanse at night. If you do apply multiple layers of serums in between cleansing and moisturizing (like me, I'm a serum junky and currently using the Ordinary products at the time of this review), this will slow down absorption of the following products because the gel texture of this toner. So if you're really pressed for time and you love layers upon layers of serum and skincare you might want to go for a thinner spray toner. But if you have the patience and time this gel toner is lovely to use, especially in dry weather.
