Why not switch up your usual flowers and chocolates routine this mother’s day and plump for a flora-filled soap instead? A trio of rose, hibiscus and lavender syrups stand proud and give a blossoming sweetness. An undertone of woody cananga and enlivening bergamot oil are framed by verdant violet leaf absolute to leave hard-working mums feeling thoroughly looked after.

Part of a new four part floral collection featuring 3D printed designs these soaps look as good as they feel. This soap has been designed to stand up on its edge making it easy to grab and a lasting perfume means they're joy to use from the first moment until the last.

Shimmery Golden Surprise

I was so happy when I picked up this soap in the last Beauty Vault. I think we are very lucky to have Lush in our beauty vaults. This soap is Limited edition from the mother’s day edition.

First thing that struck me was the beautiful design of this soap . Soap is shaped like a pear shape. Has these beautiful flowers on the top of the bar of the soap . Scent reminds me of fresh wild flowers very strong scent .

I find application is easy to use . As I’m using this soap the top floral layer disappears and reveals this golden shimmery layer. It’s beautiful. This soap is softer than other lush soaps I’ve used in the past.

So far I’ve gotten 5 uses out of it still going strong . This scent will appeal to floral scented lovers. The quality of Lush soaps is worth the price tag. I enjoyed this soap . I can see muse buying this in the future.

LUSH Purple Loosestrife Soap

I got this in the recent beauty review vault. I was excited to try this soap. Who doesn't love lush right? but this i do not love or like. First thoughts on sniffing the soap was that it was really over powering - very floral like, i wasn't overly fussed on the scent but that could be because i like sweeter scents. I read above that its meant to stand up but i didn't bother with that. I wasn't expecting the soap to have a tonne of gold glitter under the flowers. The glitter got every where in the shower and me, was not a fan. This soap literally lasted me 5 washes, in my opinion not worth the money you would pay even really for a gift! very expensive really. I wont be using this again or recommending to friends.

Surprise inside!

I got this gem in the recent BR beauty vault. It was a mother's day edition soap so of course I had to have it. It's not my usual style to choose from. I prefer the sweet scents and stay away from anything floral, especially lavender but it called to me.

For $12.90 I could get 6 bars of soap so the value is not there at all but the quality makes it worth the dent in the piggy bank. I read that it is designed to stand vertical but in all honesty I prefer to have the full view of the beauty laying down. It is both elegant and beautiful. It almost seems like the soap belongs in another era because of its antique look to it.

The smell is less offensively floral than I thought it would be. Usually overly floral tones make me nauseated but this one is very pleasant. The first and forefront scent is definitely the lavender followed by the rose. As always once wet and lathered it heightens the scents. I am glad to say my expectations were wrong on this one and I actually really love the scent left on my hands. I prefer not to use the Lush soap or any soap on my body because it leaves a squeaky feeling so I stick to hand washing. The scents stays on for a good couple of hours too which is lovely. It makes my hands soft which is a surprise because Lush soaps leave the rest of my skin feeling squeaky and just urgh,

Once you have used it a few times, this is where the surprise part comes. It doesn't even describe this part of it so it was so cool to find. One you wear away the layer of flower pictures you reveal a golden layer. It truly is a breath-taking realization. It makes the soap just that much better. As if a 3D picture of flowers wasn't beautiful enough, Lush make it extra special. I love it!

Surprising Layer

I received this in the recent Beauty Vault and was super excited to use it. First impressions were of the scent. Overpowering. I wasn't sure about using it after the smell but did find that while using in the shower, the smell became more suttle. It also lingered on the skin after showering which I found relaxing to go to bed to.

I saw the lavender decal on the front of the soap and automatically associated it with older women. However. this soap was designed for mum's so that might explain it. The decal was gone after the first wash which I found disappointing. There was a surprising gold glitter layer throughout the rest of the soap. I don't think it served a purpose other than to look pretty. And look pretty it did.

I didn't know that you could stand this soap up so have just been lying it flat like all other soaps. In saying that, I doubt it would have stood up for very long. I started using the soap on Monday and it will be finished when I use it tomorrow.

I found this soap to be highly moisturising with no need to moisturise after the shower which is super handy now that we are getting into colder weather.

For the price and duration of the product, I won't be purchasing. I just don't think it's worth it.

I have tried only one other Lush soap and it lasted me atleast a month(using it as a body wash). It was very unexpected that this soap would only last 6 uses.

That's a shame, that soap smells divine and is the only thing in the Lush Mother's Day collection that appealed to me. I use Lush soaps for washing my hands instread of liquid soap and they usually last for months.
