Living Nature Radiance Oil Lovely but Overpriced

This is by far the most expensive facial oil I have tried. I honestly wouldn't have tried this if I hadn't won a bottle in a giveaway and then later found another bottle in the first NZ brands beauty box. All the ingredients are lovely and certified organic and it smells beautiful. The composition is mainly rosehip oil but the eye catching ingredients for me are the calendula extract, frankincense oil and carrot extract. When I apply this at night it sinks in and doesn't feel to heavy, though I definitely apply it sparingly since it costs an arm and a leg. Despite it's tiny size am on my third month of using this and I still have a third of the bottle left, possibly because I'm using this more sparingly than a would other oils because of the price tag. Results wise it moisturizes my skin and I gives my dry areas of my face a little more love, but unfortunately not more love than a bottle of rosehip oil that's about a third to half the price and three times the amount would. So once this runs out I won't be repurchasing it.

Tips: If someone gives you this, use it, cherish it, thank them, it cost them an arm and leg. However, this doesn't out perform a regular bottle of rosehip oil so I wouldn't recommend shelling out for it.

Lovely but pricey

I received this in the NZ brands BBBE. I love face oils but this one is a lot pricey than my usual so I was interested to see how this compares.

This comes in a beautiful wee green bottle with a dropper that easily dispenses the liquid gold inside. A little goes a long way with this and three to four drops is enough to cover my face, neck and décolletage. It has a beautiful botanical smell. It quickly absorbs into my skin. I find this great on its own in summer or layered under night cream in winter for an extra boost.

Whilst I do love this oil I don't really see a huge difference in this and other oils I've used, apart from the price and size of the bottle. I'd definitely use this again if it came my way but I'm unlikely to purchase it on its own.

This is liquid gold!

I was fortunate to receive one of these in the NZ Brands best beauty box ever, this was the 2nd Living nature product I had tried and I am highly impressed with both products, they work very well and do exactly what they say they would do.

I love the little green bottle it comes in, its only 10ml in size and I was surprised with how many times I have used this and theres still plenty left. I started with using this at night time, after I would cleanse my face and remove my makeup. Id add a dot under each under eye, on the edge of my nose and the areas that needed an extra boost, eg old pimple scabs and fine lines. I like the scent of the oil now that Ive used it for a while, the herby scent is a bit strong but over time I dont mind it anymore. After the first week of using this at night I noticed how the fine lines under my eyes had slightly lessened and the areas I would add the oil to the old pimples had helped healed them quicker. By the 3rd week I started using this in the morning after I washed my face, its instantly boosts my skin and I see a radiant glow since using this in the morning also.

Its now been 1 month since using the Radiance oil both morning and night and I cant imagine living without this product. My fine lines have reduced immensely, each time I get scabs they heal quickly and the dryness around my nose has disappeared. I love how it gives my skin a glow without makeup and when I do apply foundation or makeup it doesn't crease under my eyes and I dont use as much foundation as I normally do because my skin is really good.

When I first started using the radiance oil I couldnt bring myself to pay $70 for a new bottle but a month down the track I wouldnt hesitate, the results from using this has been great for me, I highly recommend the Living nature night radiance oil.

Tips: I use this in the morning too after I wash my face.

My skin's saviour!

I recently got this in one of the Best Ever Beauty Boxes and because I was already using a moisturiser from the skin spa that I go to I didn't bother using it straight away. I have naturally oily skin, especially on my forehead and using an oil was not something that I had previously considered. I was very much mistaken!! I started using this a few weeks ago and my skin looks amazing, after years of hormonal breakouts my chin is quite naturally red and scarred but I have honestly stopped using concealer in this area for at least a week now. I can't rave about it enough! I even went for a facial on Saturday and my beauty therapist completely changed my skin care plan because, and I quote, 'your skin is completely different to how it was when I last saw you', using the Rosehip Night Oil is the only change that I have made! She told me that Rosehip Oil is amazing for rebalancing, calming and reducing redness. It is quite expensive, and the bottle is small, but I use three drops every night (one on each cheek and then a small one on my forehead) and so far I still have quite a bit left in the bottle. After years of struggling with my skin and spending lots of money on things that don't work with my skin I will definitely be investing in this product from now on. I will be keen to see how long the bottle lasts and how my skin copes with the impending 'time of the month'...so far it's looking good :-)

Tips: After cleansing apply a few small dots to a damp face and rub in, it takes a few minutes to sink in but as long as you've not used too much oil your skin will glow, in a good way :-)

Feels nice but way too expensive to buy again

I got this little oil in my best ever beauty box. I have super dry skin and beauty oils are pretty much my best friends. I've been using an oil on my face for the last couple of years and have seen such great improvements to my super dry areas. I was very excited to try this one out, I've never tried an oil this expensive before so I thought it must be amazing!

This comes in a little green glass bottle with a dropper. Droppers are the best way to get the right amount of oil out. This oil is a beautiful golden amber colour and has a very strong, herbal scent. It took me a while to place it but it reminds me of fresh parsley. I personally don't mind this scent at all but it is quite strong when you first apply. I don't notice it for too long after I apply it. I like to use 5 drops, I find this does my face and neck quite nicely. Although this feels quite rich going on, it actually absorbs into my skin very quickly which I quite like. It really doesn't feel like it will when you first apply it so it did surprise me when I first tried it.

Ultimately, the price factor really comes into play when I think about whether I want to buy this. I like it but I don't know if it's really doing anything different to my oils I purchase for $20 and are 3 times the size. If it was in some kind of pack, I might consider buying that or I'd definitely be happy to get it in another box.

I agree. I didn't see/feel much difference between this and cheaper oils.

Nice but not worth the price

I received this in the amazing NZ Brands BBBE, and was very excited to try it. I suppose I had very high expectations, given the price. I have tried to set that aside and just carefully examine my skin every morning, as objectively as possible, for signs of improvement. I have fine lines and pigmentation, being an outdoorsy Pakeha in her late 30s, so there's plenty of room for improvement! I honestly don't think there has been any noticeable improvement. However, it is a very pleasant wee oil to use - lovely dark green bottle with a dropper, so great for preserving the goodness inside. It smells nice as well, and you only need a few drops. It takes a long time to absorb into the skin, which I personally don't like. I prefer fast absorbing oil, so I don't have a greasy/shiny face in the evening - it also gets in my hair when I forget to tie it back, which in turn makes my fine hair around my face greasy. Just a personal dislike. But ultimately, I just feel that for the price of this small bottle, you can get other excellent NZ brands of oils that are just as good on the skin. While this oil didn't make any noticeable improvements overall on my skin, it did make it feel nice and soft the next morning - but plenty of other lower-cost NZ brand oils do that too. But others, with other skin types, may find otherwise. Overall I've enjoyed trying it, and I love to support local brands, but I won't purchase again given the price.

A beautiful oil but a wee bit pricey!

This gorgeous green glass bottle has 10ml of liquid gold tucked away inside with a handy dropper top. The green glass definately gives it a lux feel to go along with the lux price! This is a rosehip oil blend, yet I find this actually settles into my skin quicker than my usual rosehip oil.

I dont have dry skin but rather use a rosehip oil to help heal acne scars and give a little extra nourishment to my slightly dry forehead. I find that my forehead wrinkles look a little less prominent the next day and my overall skin tone looks brighter. I dont find that this typically gives any more of an obvious result than my usual rosehip oil, although this definately feels lighter to apply (it seems to be a drier oil), and has a much more subtle scent which I enjoy; almost a herbal floral. I cant imagine that I could justify repurchasing this however as it is simply not in my budget.

Gold Liquid Magic

I recieved this in my New Zealand brands box. I had previously read reviews about this because I enjoy serums as part of my skincare regime. I had run out of my trilogy rosehip and was very excited to try this one out. My skin type is dry especially in the winter months. The timing of this box was perfect .

This oil came in a white box with clear easy to read guide on the back of it. I opened it to find a beautiful greenstone green bottle made of glass. Around this dropper is a beautiful shiny band. The consistency of this serum is like liquid gold. It's so much thicker than any other serums I have tried.

When I apply this I like to focus on my frown lines on my forehead , the outer lines of my eyes. It takes at least twenty minutes for this serum to absorb into my skin. Much longer than any other serums Ive tried. My results from using this is hydrated soft smooth skin. I noticed my pores are slightly minimised but not significantly . My discolouration on my forehead has become slightly even in skintone.

After using this for a few weeks I can notice slight changes in my skin. I will record any other significant changes. I thought this serum was a wonderful addition to the nz brands box. To me this serum is pure luxury. I probably wouldn't repurchase it only because it is out of my price range. Maybe if there was a deluxe sized kit it may be more attainable in price for me to buy. Overall I highly enjoyed this product.

One of the best night oils I've tried

Fab inclusion the best ever beauty box! I love this stuff and would give it a 5/5 if not for the price. It's nice to have something a little different on my vanity, and this, with it's dark green bottle, looks really lovely. The dropper applicator makes it easy to dispense the correct amount without going crazy!

I use 4-5 drops to do my face and neck and find that to be more than enough to provide full coverage.

The oil itself is quite fragranced, but in a nice natural way and the smell doesn't linger forever either. Just perfect for anything that goes on your face.

I apply this after cleansing and before moisturising at night as my skin has been rather dry with the change of season. It absorbs almost immediately and doesn't make my skin feel greasy or heavy or look like an oil slick. It has a really nice, light yet intensely hydrating feel to it. When I wake up in the morning my skin still feels plump and lush.

Almost due for another bottle of this as I stupidly tipped it over and lost almost half, so gutted!

Soft smooth skin

I received this at the end of Feb in the BBBE and I’ve been using it for almost 2 months. At this stage this product is more useful to me a spot treatment for dry areas on my face rather than a preventative measure of aging. Having said that prior to using Living Nature, I was using Kiehl’s Midnight Concentrate for ten months and out of the two I prefer Kiehl’s.

I love everything about the Living Nature packaging, a frosted forest green bottle with a dropper – I expect nothing short of stunning for something that carries that sort of price tag for only 10ml. They say you can’t put a price on good skin care but umm if that product isn’t really making a difference I think you can and $6.90 per ml is a lot of money.

The oil is a similar colour to honey liquer and is quite runny but in comparison to Kiehl’s it’s heavier. It took me a good 2 weeks to get over the overpowering smell which reminds me of flaxseed oil mixed with leafy extracts of some sort. Considering it’s a night oil I would have thought it would be a light soothing fragrance (i.e. lavender) or something subtle but this one certainly made my nose wrinkle.

After toning and cleansing I use 3-4 drops to work into my face every night. The oil isn’t absorbed into the skin as quickly as Kiehl’s but it does sits nicely on the skin. In the morning my face feels soft and smooth but other than there’s really not much of a difference. However this could perhaps be a preventative kind of measure so in that sense I guess it’ll be ok but until such a time comes around I won’t be repurchasing this.

Tips: I love using this for spot treating dry areas particularly the corners around my nose. I just use one drop and dab it into the corners and by morning it’s as good as gone!
