Good value

This is a great product and if used once or twice a week lasts for a very long time. I leave it on overnight and skin feel rejuvenated in the morning!

Pretty good

This was the first glycolic acid cleanser I've tried and I was pretty happy with the results. Definitely a bit of tingling but otherwise I didn't have any other reactions to it. Lasts long enough especially for the price. I used twice a day and found it definitely helped with my acne. I'd definitely buy this again.

Go glycolic!

In the past I’ve used a glycolic serum with great results and after a recent facial decided to look for a enzyme cleanser to use on a daily basis and help with sloughing off dead skin/cell renewal. I found this Dr Lewinn’s at Chemist Warehouse, it’s a little pricey than what I’m used to at $40 but WOW the results. The formula is a cream from a generous 120ml pump. I use two pumps and massage in for long as I have time. The directions say to use for a few minutes. The first time I used it my skin did tingle but that subsided after a few days of use once a day. I don’t think this will remove makeup so I still stick to my regular oil cleanser at night. The results for me are fantastic - my skin feels so much smoother, less rough patches on my cheeks, less clogged pores on my nose and I am sure without any makeup on (currently in L4 lockdown) my skin is less uneven and just looks clean, fresh and glowing. It probably took at least a week of daily use to see a difference. I’m definitely going to try the other products in this Reversaderm range.

Tips: Add only a couple of drops of water rather than wet hands (that the directions say to do) as I find this reduces the product too much.

Can't do without

Having tried the Reversaderm range some time ago (thank you Beauty Review!), I can now safely say this is my favourite product out of the range. How do I know? When it's 40% off at Chemist Warehouse I buy as many as I can get my hands on, even if it means travelling to a CW outside of my usual area.

This product cleanses my skin, helps keep it clear, doesn't leave it feeling stripped and - on the odd occasion I don't have it on hand - I notice my skin becoming duller and more congested very quickly.

This is it for me. There's no going back. Highly recommended for more mature skin that needs some help.

Good but pricey

I received this as part of the Reversaderm starter kit that I was lucky enough to get from the Vault. The instructions stated to use this twice daily for two weeks, applying a small amount. I used this as a second cleanse in the evenings. It does say it is designed to remove makeup. However, I wear eyeshadow as well as mascara, so I didn't feel confident using a product containing glycolic acid on my eyes.

The cleanser itself is a white opaque liquid of medium consistency. I massaged it in gently for 30 seconds. This left my skin feeling smooth and plump. If I didn't apply to accompanying serum straight after rinsing off my skin did feel a wee bit tight. Also I did find it hard not to get any on my eyelids at all and these often felt itchy afterwards. I didn't feel any tingling when using the cleanser though but my skin is used to glycolic as I usually use an acid toner daily.

Overall I found this worked well with the Reversaderm system. My 30ml tube lasted me just over two weeks with twice daily use. I reckon the full size bottle would therefore last about two months. I don't think I would purchase the full size as I think this makes it a bit pricey. I would happily buy the starter kit again though when my skin needs a bit of a boost.

Skin refreshing cleanser

Before cleaning my face with this cleanser, I removed my makeup with micellar water and eye makeup remover so as not to waste cleanser.

The cleanser itself pumps out in a thin, white creamy consistency. It has quite a strong, fresh, citrusy scent that is pleasant. The product is non foaming and the directions says to use with wet hands on a wet face. Massaging for 30 secs, then leaving for up to 2 minutes for more intensive exfoliation and then washing off with fresh water.

I had no tingling whatsoever from this product - my skin looked amazing and clear from the first time I used it. I did follow up with the complementing serum and moisturiser from the same range to get the best results.

The packaging is great - easy to use and works well. It only pumps a small bit at a time And I only used one and a bit pumps each time. The 100ml bottle will last a good while so at about $47 its a fair price point.

I did notice that after a week or so my hands - particularly the base of my palms started to very lightly peel, I think this was from the cleanser as I was using my whole palms to massage it around. I now rub the leftover cleanser all around my hands while I'm letting it sit on my face - maybe my hands will start to look younger too!

The product claims to deeply clean without drying and although it did seem to make my hands peel, my skin was exceptionally clean with no traces of dryness - my skin is pretty normal although I constantly get told by professionals that it is dehydrated.

Cleaner, softer feeling skin

I was ever so lucky to be apart of a recent trial team of the whole reversaderm range. The white pump top bottle is clearly labelled as to what it is. The bottle is 100ml and it provides a decent amount of cleanser for plenty of washes.

The liquid is a pearlescent cream which isn't to thick or runny but is really light. I use 2 pumps to have enough product to massage into my skin. I was quite shocked when I applied this cleaser to my skin that it didn't lather up!

The cleanser initally stung my face but subsided within 30 seconds of it being on my face. After massaging it into my face for 2 minutes with my finger tips I liked leaving it on my skin for a further 4 minutes to work it's magic. Upon rinsing it off my face I noticed how silky the cream had become.

My face was left feeling beautifully soft, silky, smooth and incredibly clean. I had noticed an incredible difference in my skin after using this product for 6 weeks. My pores had reduced and my acne had cleared up significantly.

I highly recommend just having this cleanser in your skin care regime. It's a must.

Tips: Use a moisturizer after use if you don't have the rest of the range. This will help keep that soft, silky smooth feeling last throughout the day

Tingly Cleanser

I also got to trial this cleanser. I'm always searching for a good cleanser that I can use at least twice a day as part of my skincare routine. When I first began this trial my skin around my nose was peeling . I have uneven skin tone on my forehead . Acne coming and going frequently. It was interesting to watch this full skincare system in action.

The cleanser came in a plastic pump bottle. Packaging was a bit average . The scent of this cleanser reminds me of citrus and floral . The formula of it is quite thin but smooth to touch.

I put this cleanser on twice a day for two weeks on. Two pumps per application is enough . It spreads easily and evenly over my face. I like to leave this cleanser on for at least ten to fifteen minutes because I prefer a deep clean. I can feel this tingle all over my face for about ten minutes and it goes away.

A hundred ml of this cleanser could easily last over a year following this two week on and off. I expect to finish this by early december to january. I will put a note in if this changes. My skin has improved so much. I'm getting compliments from family and friends about my skin. Dr Lewwins is worth its price. I would like to purchase this when mine runs out.

More gentle than anticipated

I got this as part of the entire Dr Lewinn's Reversaderm range, which I've also reviewed.

The Dr Lewinns Reversaderm Glycolic Clarifying Cleanser is actually far more of a mild product than I was anticipating. It comes in a sizeable bottle equipped with a pump action dispenser, which does have a tendency to get a little messy. The packaging is white with metallic blue accents, and it looks classy, expensive, and a little....medical. Basically, it looks like something that will work.

The cleanser lotion is white, medium thickness and has a faint scent - nothing I can put my finger on, it just smells clean and fresh. It has a typical cream cleanser feel to it, and works into skin well.

You massage this onto damp skin for 30 seconds, leave for a couple of minutes and rinse off. This doesn't feel like it's stripping anything out of skin and it certainly doesn't feel like there is acid in it, which I was worried about. It does tingle (note: not hurt, but it's a sharp tingle) when you use it the day after a peel/mask), which can be disconcerting, but the tingle is only momentary.

Although the label suggests it can remove makeup, it really didn't do this well, so I used a cleansing oil first, which worked perfectly.

At $47 it's one of the cheaper products in the range, and worth considering if you jut want to mildly rejuvenate your skin - but is so lovely in conjunction with the range that I'd be loathe to seperate them.
