About Me I love lipsticks and have a huge collection, but there’s always room for more. :) Constantly trying out new skincare and haircare products, I’m still looking for the best of the bests. Only holy grail product I’ve found so far is a mascara from Benefit called They’re Real.

Wide Eyed

Fantastic product! I have used countless mascaras and I found this to be up in my top 5. I have very fine and fairly long eyelashes that are light and straight so I loved the brush as it got right between my lashes. Whilst I wouldn't say it curled my lashes, it definitely lifted them and gave the appearance of being slightly curled. When applied correctly it gave good coverage, although I did battle towards the 'end' of the bottle (about half way through) to stop it from clumping and pulling my lashes together. If money were no object and I could buy a new one every time it got to this stage I would probably have carried on using it but it's fairly pricey to be doing that so I moved on to other brands in search of the 5 star holy grail of mascaras. Really do love this product and never had any problems with running or coming off on the top eyelid and I would certainly recommend it.

Tips: Pop 2 drops of saline solution in and shake it about if when it starts to get clumpy. Can get at least a weeks more uses out of most mascaras with this trick.

How long does the full size last you? Or generally all mascaras? I love this mascara too! :)

Close shave - five blades!

I bought these from the supermarket when they were on special. I am loathe to spend lots of money on razors as they all go blunt fairly quickly and need to be replaced.

I'm used to razors with disposable heads and three blades, but these have five(!!) blades and no disposable heads. I do find the disposable heads better for the environment, so having to get rid of the whole blade and handle each time is an annoyance.

The handle is light, well balanced and comfortable to hold. The head is quite big which makes it difficult to move around tricky bits like knees and ankles. The hydrating strips help to keep skin from drying out, and the blades last quite well before needing to be replaced.

I will be buying these again - five blades is awesome

That's good to know - must be a new option!

You can keep the handles and just buy the refill heads?

Quick and Easy

I didn't buy these myself as disposables aren't my thing...I usually just buy blade refills for my usual Venus razor, but, I received these and thought I might as well put them to use.

I honestly thought the 5 blades was just a gimmicky marketing ploy and wouldn't make a difference...but...It did give a nice close shave and reduced the irritation I often get with shaving as I didn't have to go over any parts twice. For a disposable these are very nice to use with lovely shaped handles, just, like venus standard razors, just a bit lighter. The blades lasted a good period of time before becoming a bit dull and dragging, but, lasted just as well as a blade refill does so I was happy with that. They probably end up only slightly more expensive than buying blade refills so are pretty good value for money.

I probably won't repurchase just because I find tossing a whole razor a bit wasteful, but, may pick these up next time I travel overseas.

How awesome Susilia, thanks for letting me know :)

Did you know you can put the new refills on these as well? Great if you like changing up colors of your usual razor.:)

......Ughhh

My hair still doesn't look like Miranda Kerr's :(

Has a lovely smell, is easy to apply.

Cute purple packaging.

Didn't see any major results as it claims though. "stronger more beautiful hair" .... nope not here. Wasn't stronger, in fact I thought I got more hair loss and breakage using this Shampoo and Conditioner.

yup, I was expecting Miranda Kerr's mane too, it did not happen...

Makes boobs happy :)

This a wonderful product and raises money for such a good cause!

I picked this up a couple of weeks ago from Countdown mainly due to the pretty pink packaging and the fact that my hubby cracked up at the name.

It is such a lovely cream, it smells amazing and is very easy to apply. I use it after I shower and it leaves my skin feeling soft, nourished and extremely pampered.

This product is a really good price for the size and quality and I love that it is NZ made.

Tips: This would make an amazing present! I have got a couple stashed away to add to christmas packages.

Pumau it absorbs & dries really nicely and quickly. I think boob cream makes a cool gift, I bet my friends will love them!

I could never gift this but I would love it as a gift. It's so cute. Does it leave a weird buttery/oily texture on your skin or does it absorb and dry fairly quickly?

I'd never gift anyone a breast cream, I'd feel weird...:D

The perfect bronzer disguised as a blusher!

I bought this hoping for a beautiful pinky plum blush like the shade you see inside the pan - these shades are always perfect for my skintone - they are like the natural shade of my skintone when flushed. The positive is this is a great contouring shade of bronzer for me - a red based cool toned bronzer which is very hard to find. Texture is nice, matte yet gives me a glowy look and is decently pigmented (unlike dandelion and Georgia powders from this line). I wouldn't buy again however, despite enjoying the brush that comes with it the boxy packaging is less than ideal for travel and takes so much space up in your bag, not to mention that the lid falls off so this ends up being and at home use product only. Secondly I have two other products in very similar shades with better packaging. This is also rather expensive.

Tips: Buy from a reputable retailer - there are many fake Benefit Face powders on the market!

How does your lid fall off? My box is very sturdy, the lid is attached, do you have an old packaging where the lid comes off completely?

Tomatox what?

Please tell me Im not the only one who thought this would be a mask that was filled with tomatoes or maybe a tomato sauce mask?

The colour, smell and texture was nothing like what I imagined it to be, here I was thinking it would smell like tomatoes, look red like a tomato and even taste like a tomato? I feel so foolish that my mind played tricks on me like that.

The formula is an off white colour (not red) and it feels like butter, when you rub it onto your skin it feels so soothing, it is lightly scented and it doesn't smell like tomatoes or even near it. When you wait for it to absorb into your skin it feels so relaxing.

Washing it off your skin is a little hard, using a wash cloth in warm water helps remove any excess product.

You wont stop touching your skin, it feels so plump, soft and smooth, kind of like a tomato just without the redness.

Highly recommended to all if you love face masks or tomatoes.

I didn't know this was on beauty review, I must remember to review it too, this is my current favorite face mask! And the packaging, so cute, once finished I will wash it out and will store earrings or hairties in it!!:D

This looks so adorable - cutest packaging ever!

This is the best face mask ever! It is definitely a must buy :)

This is in a beautynetkorea order I'm waiting for... I have to admit I only got it because I thought it looked hilarious and cute, but I'm actually really looking forward to using it now! Thanks for the great review! xx

Dying to try Tonymoly its all so cute and this sounds great! Thanks for the review.

Glitter Face

I bought this powder for no reason in particular besides being a compulsive hoarder and it being on sale.

It comes in a basic compact which is functional but slightly bulkier than it needs to be in my opinion. The powder is smooth and makes a fairly good setting powder however does not provide enough pigment to be worn as a foundation which is fairly disappointing for me as I like to wear powder foundations to work.

The thing I loathe about this powder (and pretty much the sole reason that I marked it down so much) that I didn't notice when I first bought it is that it contains glitter in it! Not small finely milled shimmers to make you glow, just big old pieces of glitter.. My boyfriend asked me why I'd put glitter all over my face the first time I wore it.

Overall this is a good setting powder if you don't mind the occasional chunky glitters however if you are in the market for a matte powder or powder foundation I suggest this probably isn't the product for you and I won't be repurchasing.

Not Worth the hype (Or the price tag!)

I have a couple of miniature sized (4ml) bottles of this from a couple of Benefit Kits I have purchased. I was super excited to try this as it is raved about online constantly and was ready to add another Holy Grail product to my collection. Unfortunately, this was just one big let down for me (even more disappointing due to the amount of hype there is about this product).

The packaging is cute like most benefit products and sadly that is my only real positive about this product. The applicator is a mini nail polish like brush which is okay for using on the lips and cheeks but not the best they could have come up with in my opinion. A doe foot application would make tinting the lips easier.

This is marketed as a cheek and lip tint but isn't amazing at either. It shows up more on my cheeks than my lips but needs to be blended as quickly as possible to look natural and it dries pretty fast. On the lips this isn't an issue but I had to use soooo much product and layer and layer just to get a subtle hint of colour.

It is also marketed as long wearing, stating it will "last for hours", well in my experience this isn't the case. It probably lasts a good hour before it is hardly visible and it is pretty sheer to begin with.

I also found this a tad drying as well and found myself reaching for my lip balm more than usual.

The last nail in the coffin for this product is the price. I would't pay a fraction of the price for this, let alone the $57 it retails for here in NZ. I am very glad I tried this in a kit though and didn't shell out for the full size as I would be even more disappointed then! Will not be repurchase nor would I recommend to anyone.

Tips: I wouldn't recommend getting this...It is pretty disappointing. Benetint may be better though as it is a darker shade.

Was this review useful to you? Yes No

I would buy if it is worth paying.... thanks for the review... will pass... I love benefit for only some products but when it comes to makeup, I don't think the products is outstanding enough to beat the other brands in the same price range

I think I will give this a miss now, thanks for the great review. It sounds rather disappointing x

Haha good to know others have similar experiences with products. Especially when they don't work for you and are so hyped up like this one.

I just tried out my mini and neither could I see it on my cheeks nor on my lips, had to come here and see what others think!:D I agree with everything you said in your review! I should just copy and paste it, haha...no...:D

Great review! Was hoping this product would be a goodie but think i'll look at other tints now!

Me too they are a pricy brand and this was a huge let down. Definitely save your money and splurge elsewhere :)

I would have excepted more from Benefit! Won't be purchasing this! Thanks for the review

Not sold.. Not convinced. 'Wicked'

I wanted to own a Velvetine for the longest time. I had forever lusted after Wicked! One day I was lucky enough to win it and I was over the moon! All the incredible reviews and fans of this product had my expectations high and my lips excited..

Expectation vs reality.. I was let down.

I like the packaging its gorgeous. I love the color its the most perfect rich red. I love the scent.. An almost vanilla.

The formula.. Errr.. Okay yes its opaque. The applicator.. Not a fan.. Personally I do not think its the right kind of tip for this sort of product. You are most definitely left with rich color with one application.. Its a bit messy to apply and takes a bit of getting used to due to the applicator.

Now the finish.. Yes the finish is matte.. I am a huge fan of matte but clearly not this kind. It didn't look nice up close at all.

The stayability.. Honestly.. Did I get a dud? Because this was leaving all sorts of marks on anything my lips touched and wore off pretty damn fast. I applied this a good hour and a half before going out to Dinner.. Didn't eat or drink anything in that time period and the minute I had a sip of my drink it started leaving lip marks everywhere! After finishing Dinner it was totally gone except for what looked like a lip liner only line surrounding my lips.

The second and third and fourth tries.. I tried to love this and was left with the same disappointing results.

Would I try again.. I might buy another color and hope that one doesn't fail me but at this point in time I am not impressed and do not get the fuss!

Tips: Not for me.. Or I got a dud.. Hard to decide!

Was this review useful to you? Yes No

i must have got a dud too! i was so dissapointed :(

Awww no!! Wicked was on my wish list :( You always write awesome reviews xx

It's refreshing to see that not everyone is a fan of limecrime products.:) I have the pink velvetine and it stayed on even after washing my face and drinking/eating a lot, maybe it depends on the color as they can't formulate them all the same way?
