3 step system to WOW!

I was more than ecstatic when I was one of the ladies who got to trial the Schwarzkopf fibre therapy range, social media had been buzzing about this new product range and I couldn't wait to find out if the hype was real.

Beautifully packaged in purple plastic bottles, the colour is similar to the Cadbury chocolate wrappers, mmmm chocolate, but the scent of these products smelt better than chocolate (how is that possible) and 100% guilt free. As soon as these babies arrived I headed to my shower almost instantly to see what these products were like. Over the years my hair has been not bad, the roots are healthy but the ends are always dry, after I dyed my hair black with a $5 dye a few weeks ago its made the mid length to roots incredibly dry, I was more than excited to see my hair transform before my eyes!

I was sent the Shampoo, Conditioner and Repair-in oil spray.

Shampoo- Can I say how incredible this smells? If incredible had a scent I would bet my money it would smell like this. I wet my hair before adding the shampoo to my roots, the shampoo is more on the watery side so I squeezed too much which created the bigger shampoo bubbles I had seen, rinsing this out was easy, and it left my hair feeling clean and not as drying as most common shampoos.

Conditioner- After rinsing the Shampoo out I squeeze as much water I can out of my hair, the conditioner is thick like a hair treatment, lathering this in my hair is pure bliss, I like to leave this in my mid length to ends for approximately 2 minutes before rinsing this out.

Repair-in oil spray- This product is the bees knees, it seriously is! This 2 tone liquid is in a form of a spray that you can use on towel dried hair or dry hair. I use this after I wash my hair and in the morning. It sprays a mist through my hair and gives it this beautiful shine. I've received a few compliments on how healthy my hair looks and which salon I go to , they're shocked when I say its the new Schwarzkopf range and impressed its a supermarket brand.

Over the past 2 weeks of trialing the Schwarzkopf fibre therapy range my hair has made a complete transformation, the ends of my hair are stronger, much healthier and it looks shinier and feels like silk.

I will be purchasing this by box loads, the hype in the Fibre range was all that plus more, I highly recommend this range.

Tips: The repair-in-oil spray is a great detangle spray for your babies too.

Nice cleansing oil

I am lucky enough to got this trial and thank you very much BR for opportunity. This is first product I has been tried from this brand. I saw this brand in supermarket shelves but didn't bother to look. But now I'all try some other products from this line.

Packaging wise is nice tall, compact and green bottle. Easy during travel. Simple brand says kind to skin, hydrating cleansing oil.... I would say not really if you have very sensitive skin and I doesn't hydrating at all. I would say this great product for oil skin. Let's me tell you about my skin. I have combination skin but I got pregnant ( got sensitive skin specially on my cheek bc of pregnancy) and got dry skin bc poor skin care routines. I start again my routine so it'll back soon my combination skin. Apart from This great product.

Product says dissolves makeup and no greasy resides that's absulately right. It's dissolves every product on my face without to much efforts. I really like this product. Simple cleansing oil has no artificial perfume or colour and has multi - vitamins. Hope this brand introduced for different skin type would be great. Specially dry skin.

Would not recommend for dry skin.

Tips: If you have dry skin than use good hydrating and rich moisturiser.

It's great product for removing makeup to be honest. Yes it's dry out my skin. I have combination skin but recently get changed bc of my pregnancy.

Just saw you mention not recommended for dry skin, why is that? Did it dry your skin out? I was all set to put this on my wishlist and then I saw your comment lol.

Pleasantly surprised!

I've probably tried every single type of Schwarzkopf shampoo and conditioner that they sell in supermarkets at least once. I'm sure there are plenty of other people like me that see the bright coloured packaging and the special price tag of $4 a bottle and decide to give them a try. But to be honest I have never been particularly in love with any of their shampoos/conditioners. Sure I've repurchased some of them before, but mostly because I'm a poor student whose only prerequisites for hair care products include affordability and easy access (supermarkets). Generally Schwarzkopf products leave my hair feeling heavy and a bit oily, so I end up having to wash my hair more frequently. So it is fair to say I didn't have high hopes for these products, however...

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the Schwarzkopf Fibre Therapy range! I love the royal purple colour of the packaging, though it does remind me of a certain brand of chocolate (not sure if that's a good or bad thing!). I also love the smell. It is a sweet perfumey smell that anyone who has tried Schwarzkopf products before will be familiar with. It is a strong smell, so be aware of this if you are sensitive to overpowering smells. All three products in the range have the same scent. I like to use a spritz of the treatment spray everyday so it always smells like my hair has been freshly washed.

My scalp is naturally oily so using a product that doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy is important. This range didn't make my hair feel that way at all which is great. I continued to wash my hair 2-3 times a week like I usually would and I had no problems. I was even able to use the treatment spray every single day and it wouldn't leave me looking oily (unlike other treatment sprays I have tried). The spray is also great for adding a bit of extra shine.

When I first shampooed with this range my hair instantly felt smoother and stronger. I was very surprised by this, as I usually find it's conditioner that makes my hair feel this way. It lathered nicely, so my hair felt like it had been well cleaned. The conditioner is not too thick and I found that it melted into my hair. Once it had been washed out my hair felt soft and smelt amazing.

Now I'm not sure if my hair has been "repaired" by this range. I think it feels healthier and stronger but I have only used it around 4 times. It takes 24 washes (according to the packaging) to get the best results. I will continue to use it and will probably repurchase it, as I'm still currently enjoying it.

If you're keen to try this range, definitely buy all three products (not just the shampoo and conditioner). I feel like the treatment spray is the best part of the range, and you might not get the whole experience if you were to leave it out.

Tips: Use the treatment spray every day so your hair smells like it has been freshly washed and to add extra shine.

Disappointed!

This shampoo, conditioner and leave-in spray smells absolutely divine - but unfortunately that's where the praise stops. The first time I used these products I noticed my hair wasn't as soft as it would normally be after conditioning. The second time I struggled to get my wide toothed comb through my hair. Because I'm nothing if not a trier, I gave it a 'third time lucky' chance - this time it took me 25 minutes just to comb my hair, it looked and felt like a birds nest. My hair was dull, frizzy and lacked any softness at all. My husband even noticed how bad the condition of my hair was without even touching it. Would definitely not use or recommend these products based on my experience with them.

Tips: If you are going to try these products I would recommend not doing it two or three times if you notice your hair isn't as soft or shiny after the first use. I lost a lot of hair on the third use just from trying to get my comb through the tangles.

I had same experience. After first used I felt my hair more dull, dry and rough. I never felt before. I feel afraid to try second time.

Didn't last on me.

I wanted to try matte foundation after hearing how good a matte finish is. I got my bottle through Trade me because I wanted to get a bargain for this foundation. I'm on a foundation hunt, Im looking for something that I can put on and it could last me all day without fading out. Also wanting to hide my uneven skintone and dark circles. I have seen alot of make up artists online using this and I wanted to find out whether I would like it or not.

This foundation comes in a a sturdy foundation tube. It has the Loreal labelling it looks very current. It comes in a 35ml bottle which isn't very big at all. The colour I got is Honey 30. On the back of the bottle it says its a medium texture with a high coverage. It has an example on the back of this tube of how to apply it. I agree that the texture is medium and it is liquid. No scent at all to.

With application I find it smooth out nicely with both a brush and blender. I like to try both depending on how I feel. This claims its 24 hours. It didnt last me twenty four hours. I did try and test it on several occasions and it did fade out for me. It had a slight powder finish to it after a few hours. Im still searching for my miracle foundation. I think it is highly priced for a drug store brand. I really wanted it to work for me. I definately won't be getting it again. Even though it did'nt work for me it might work for you.

Give it a try my friend. I might work well for you.

Was thinking to get this one. I don't know what to do. Right now I don't want to spend money on mac, Nars and Estée Lauder bc only this three brand has my perfect match foundation. I want some drugs store foundation like cheap one.

Benefit Watts Up highlighter Review

Favourite cream highlighter

Even though I've always admired this product I was never interested in buying it because I just find cream highlighters a bit too high maintenance for me. The ones I've used in the past tended to move during the day/night, had patchy application or emphasised the texture on my skin. I decided to try them again after I read BR member, TheBeautyContext's great review.

Now when I sampled it on my hand at Smith & Caughey's I wasn't entirely convinced with the almost non-existent golden highlight but BR members don't play when it comes to highlighters, I remembered the BR reviews I had read and bravely said goodbye to $57. Out of all of Benefit's packaging, this metallic mirrored lilac tube is by far my favourite! It has a round sponge tip at one end, used to soften and blend out the product and the other end we have the retractable highlight.

On my skin tone it's more of a soft golden peach hue which gives me a healthy radiant lit-from-within glow. It's not overly luminous but the more product you layer on the more intense the sheen on your face becomes and the more evident the fine shimmer. I love that I can layer this on top of my moisturiser and foundation without any pilling - even if I apply the highlight layers between doing other things. The cream-to-powder finish means it lasts longer on my oily skin than I would have expected had it just been a full cream highlighter - so a good 7 hours for me.

My only issue is that even though it's sheer and buildable you have to ensure you blend it out properly because if you're part of the chocolate club like myself it could potentially look ashy when in fact it's just a matter of taking a beauty blender or flat top brush to it. This is officially my favourite cream highlighter! I love to apply this onto my cheeks (yes like blush), then take it up to the high points and then follow up with blush and contour.

Tips: Swatching it on your hand won't do you any good, if you can get the Benefit team to apply it to your face then I highly recommend it because only then will you be able to see its full beauty.

I use a flat top kabuki brush to push the highlighter into my cheeks and high points. If necessary I go in with a makeup sponge to ensure that the product is fully blended into the skin.

I apply this from the stick onto my face then blend with fingers. It warms with fingers I find.

Hehe that's right Kirsty, you can't have too many highlighters! Rajvee2588 you can absolutely use your fingers to apply cream highlighter - whatever works for you :-)

I never use cream highlighter. Can I use finger to apply cream highlighter?

I think I need to build some courage and splurge on this. And the Becca Opal Glow on the Go kit. Maybe I'll take a page out of your "You Can't Have Too Many Higlighters" book :)

No3 Makeup Melt Review

Smells like roses

I received a little sample pot of No3 Make-up Melt with my last order of Underbalm and one of their handmade soaps.  Unfortunately, I can't comment on the full sized packaging but the little round clear plastic sample tub is the perfect size to pop into an overnight bag or makeup bag.

The Make-up Melt is pale yellow in colour and almost looks like Vaseline but is wonderfully rose scented, not too strong, just perfectly pretty.

The first time I tried the make-up melt, I put a small pea-sized amount on my fingers and applied it to my dry face.  As I was about to take a shower and I was feeling lazy, I climbed into the shower and removed it in there with my face cloth, which I later discovered was a bad idea!  It made the shower floor extremely slippery!  So the next time I used it, I removed it with a hot face cloth at the basin.

This product works really well, even on difficult to remove professional eyeliner.  I found this make-up melt to be so much better than Trilogy's Make-up Be Gone Cleansing Balm.  It melted onto my skin really easily, it effectively removed my make-up without leaving me with "panda eyes" and there was no blurry vision afterwards.  Well done, No3, on making a really great make-up removal balm.

Would I recommend it?  Definitely.  Would I repurchase it?  Probably not and this answer is not a reflection on the product but is all down to personal preference.  After trying a couple of make-up removal balms or melts, I've realised that I'm just not a make-up melt kind of girl.  I'm a no-mess-no-fuss person and I prefer the ease of a particular cleansing oil that emulsifies with water and washes away cleanly in the shower without me having to remove my make-up separately at the basin first.

I have, however, recommended it to friends to try, as it is a really nice product that does work well.

Tips: Apply to dry skin and wipe off with a hot wash cloth

@Rajvee - Yay! I'm glad to hear my review helped you and that you managed to get it in the vault. I've tried quite a few of No3's products (this, underbalm, various soaps & hand cream) and I haven't been disappointed yet!

I picked it from vault because of your reviews. I am glad that I did. Bc I love it.

Ooo I love that you mentioned it doesn't give you the blurry eyes, because I get that a lot with make-up removers.

Thanks, Maree. I thought it was better than the Trilogy one, as it melted better, was easier to spread and didn't leave my eyes blurry afterwards (like the Trilogy one did).

If it's better then the Trilogy product then it must be good. Great review :)

Eye of Horus Goddess Pencil - Teal Malachite Review

Eye of Horus Goddess Teal Malachite Makes Eyes Pop

I have almost all of the colorful Eye of Horus goddess pencils but this is a stand out because of the bright teal that just makes my eyes pop. I have really tiny Asian monolids and wear glasses on top of that so this just makes my eyes pop. It is the lightest of the colorful eye pencils and probably the brightest. On me it looks more light blue. I like to wear this alongside the other colors like the blue, green and purple for a sort of gradient effect. I sort of smudge them into each other with a eyeliner or thin angled eyeshadow brush. Or I wear it on its own. I have worn it on my upper lids to give a bright pop of color but I find that it shows up more when it's featured on my lower lids. The only con about this eyeliner and I guess with the others is that it isn't entirely smudge-proof after it sets. I used to think that the Goddess pencils were completely smudge-proof once they set, but I realize that on me that nothing seems to be smudge-proof. But this brand does last longer on me than other brands. The other con is that it is twice the price of some drugstore brands but personally I don't mind paying a bit more for a quality eyeliner pencil. I have almost all the colorful eye pencils of this brand plus the nude and the white one. I have gifted and recommended this brand of eye pencils to others. I won't need to repurchase for a long, long time but I when I do run out I will.

Tips: If you love doing a neutral eye look you can use this teal shade to add a bright pop of color to it. It also looks great sort of smudged a bit with the other Eye of Horus Goddess pencils for a sort of colorful gradient effect. I like to smudge it out a bit on my lower lids with the green, purple and sapphire ones and pair that with neutral or nude eyeshadow and black winged liner and black mascara. I finish off with understated cheeks and a pretty pink, neutral or nude lip.

Was this review useful to you? Yes No

I think the EOH pencil I use the most is the nude one for my waterlines. But these pencils are great for those just wanting to apply a pop of color.

Good reviews. I didn't try anything from this brand. I would love to specially eye pencil.

Expensive but sooo worth it!

I got this bad boy as part of my Superhero mystery shop from the Mecca website. It was $74. At first I scoffed at the price, kinda hoping that I wouldn't love it because of the price but this was not the case.

I went through the painful process of getting my colour match perfectly right. In the end I came to the colour of Sante Fe which is a warm neutral beige colour with a pink undertone. For $74 I kind of expected the bottle to be bigger.

The foundation itself is quite a runny consistency but it isn't too runny that it will run off the brush or sponge. The shade is actually quite light compared to that pictured on the site which is annoying. I could have gone for a slightly darker shade because this colour washes me out a tad.

Despite the mess up in the colour, I needed to see what the huge hype up about it was. The foundation blends in well with a sponge and with a brush but I prefer to use a sponge to have the flawless look. The coverage is quite amazing really. I can go all day and not have to worry about it running off my face, even in the heat!

There is one complaint I have with this. It tends to cling to any tiny dry patch I have on my face. Instead of hiding it like it should, it puts it on show for all to see. Lucky for me I manage to cover it up with concealer over top and a finishing powder.

My skin looks flawless after use. It doesn't make my skin oily or appear like I have caked on makeup. It evens my tone out and hides any redness on my cheeks that I have. It makes a perfect canvas for any other makeup I may put on over top with the exception of the dry patches.

In summary, my skin looks fab (on the most part), it covers most imperfections, it lasts all day long. What more could I want out of a foundation? I am hooked and that $74 doesn't seem so outlandish now considering how much I love it.

Tips: Use a setting or finishing powder.

Turn the volume up!

After asking a hairdresser friend how she got her hair looking so fab she told me I needed one of these in my life - and she wasn't wrong.

I have always wanted more volume and texture in my hair, either if wearing my hair up or down and this is just the tool.

I find it really easy to hold and the pink colour makes it easy to find in my draw. By grabbing sections of my hair at the top I then back comb an inch away from my roots back towards the roots slightly vigorously (the more you do it the more intense volume it will be) By using this it gives me the volume I've always desired and envied on other ladies. It isn't at all time consuming to add into my hair routine, although I don't use it every day as it depends on what look Im going for.

Hair will be a little knotty where its been teased but nothing a gentle comb wont fix.

I still need to play around and use this tool more but so far Im really pleased I've purchased it.

I cant give 5 stars as its the only teasing comb I've ever used so have nothing to compare it too, but quite possibly it will be the only one I'lI ever need.

Tips: Straighten or curl hair first, then tease roots.

I found mine at Kmart Rajvee - only $5 :)

One day I went the werehouse to get this comb but I couldn't find it. I also want to try it.
