About Me My name is Enya and I'm a make up artist who would like to see animal testing banned. My eyes are generally the focus of my make up looks but I'm getting more into lip products too. I got my first MAC lipstick in the shade Snob on 27/12/2014. Aside from make up I love gaming, writing, reading, animals, girls and Dylan O'Brien. Used to be BadIndieGamer and WannabeMUA.

$39? Uh That's Crazy

I bought this online for like $15 but if I had to pay 39 to get it, I would. This is definitely the best setting spray I've ever used. It doesn't have a bad scent to it like the ELF one does and the sprayer is perfect, I use about 4 sprays on my face in the morning and aside from sometimes making my mascara transfer, I don't end up looking wet or with huge water droplets on my face. It makes my make up last longer for SURE and it even stops me from getting so oily in my t-zone! I like the way it makes my powder products settle into my skin better so that it looks more natural. Over all this is a fantastic setting spray and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it, aside from the fact that the bottle is so big it's not very good for travel. Then again, if it was smaller, I'd probably want more product anyway!

Damn, it won't be good for my dry skin Then! Such a pain since it sounds so good.

It unfortunately does have alcohol in it!

I've been thinking about picking this up, from the same person too! Does it have any alcohol in it?

Awesome deal!

Marlaine sold it to me hehe

Where did you pick this up from! I'm dying to try it before going back to the Urban Decay one (which is super expensive).

Not a stain but a creamy lipstick

I picked up this Mega slick on my South African shopping spree a couple of months. I didnt purchase it because I really HAD to try it but it was so cheap I couldnt resist.

I got the shade E126 (dont understand not having names) and its a pinky mauve that is quite natural for anybody who has an olive skin tone and would be a beautiful pink tone for a light skinned person. The Mega slick is very pigmented and colour payoff is amazing. You just need one swipe straight from the bullet for a lovely opaque lipstick colour. The acai palm oil in the lipstick gives it creamy glossy finish on your lips so if you love the glossy lipstick look you will love this lipstick.

I bought this because I'm quite into lip stains because of their long lasting power but sadly I was not given what I thought I paid for. Though this is creamy and luxurious it is not a stain and its not long lasting at all. I was quite disappointed in the lasting power as it lasts me about 2 hours maximum.

In saying all of this, its not a bad lipstick and actually quite a beautiful lipstick because its a beautiful colour intensity but this shouldnt be labelled as a lipstain because its not.

Tips: If you're looking for a lipstain then dont buy this. If your looking for a beautiful creamy lipstick then you'll be happy purchasing this.

Delicious, Effective Mask!

I am a huge face mask fan, and try to incorporate them into my weekly beauty routine if I can. The Formula 10.0.6 Skin Clarifying Mud Mask was something I definitely enjoyed using, and definitely noticed results from.

The packaging is super cute and functional - just a simple squeeze-tube (or sachet, if you buy the sample-size), with a bright pink design. The product itself is a natural, clay-grey colour, and it quite thick. The scent is one which you either quite like or will hate - very unique, and while it isn't a bad scent, it is definitely quite strong.

The first few times I used this mask it made my skin feel quite tingly, but the packaging said this was to be expected. So I persevered, and was glad I did! This mask led to clearer skin, tighter pores, and a generally refreshed face.

I would recommend for anyone with breakouts or combination skin looking for a refreshing, clarifying mask.

It's Pretty But I Don't Think It's Worth $13

I'm the kind of girl who wants to look like a disco ball. I want the whole room to be staring at my eyes. I have the shade 120 Night Sky and it is a deep grey, almost black, with all of the glitter in the world packed into it. It is NOT shimmer, it is GLITTER. Colourful, sparkly, beautiful glitter. Day time appropriate? Not unless you're crazy like me. Or a unicorn. Or both.

But honestly it is the most eye catching glittery gorgeousness I have ever seen. Add it to a smokey eye base and you're instantly a star (or at least, you shine like one). With it being so glittery, however, there is a lot of fall out. Definitely do your eye make up before doing your face when using this shadow. It is beautiful and if you want everyone in the room to look at you, this will help you achieve that.

My only complaint is the price. I don't really want to pay that much for a single eyeshadow. I feel like it's a little overpriced and the packaging is definitely cheap feeling. It can also get pretty messy in there. However I love the clear section in the top that lets you get a glimpse of the shade inside.

Tips: Do your eye make up first, face make up after, because of the fall out that can happen with the glitter.

Stop Trying to Make Fetch Happen!

After seeing everyone else pick these products up, and ColourPop's awesome instagram feed I knew that I needed to get on the bandwagon and pick some of their products up. The pencils are only USD$5 so I thought that I can't really go wrong with this. I joined in on an order with some friends though as the shipping can be quite expensive. I picked up one colour which is Fetch - I just love the name, reminds me of Mean Girls which was my favourite movie for such a long time, 'Gretchen, stop trying to make Fetch happen, It's just not going to happen!'. Fetch is a bright pink shade, they call it a 'mid-tone warm true pink'.

The packaging for these is lovely as with all of the Colour Pop goodies. I really like the white packaging, it just looks really clean and simple. It has a holographic print of the brand and shade on it which is really cool. Although this has rubbed off on some of the lippie stix that I own. At the end of the pencil it has the shade colour which is great to be able to find which one you want quickly in a bunch. The lid sits tightly on the pencil so no worries about it falling off. You do have to sharpen this pencil which feels a bit weird as you are sharpening plastic, but it works so who am I to complain.

The pencil itself goes onto the lips quite smoothly although not in a creamy way. I think this is very similar to other lip pencils I have, although not as drying as my MAC one. I really like the formulation as it really seems to stick to your lips in a non-drying sort of way. Makes for a really nice matte lippy if you apply all over your lips. Most of the time I use lip pencils for applying all over the lip and putting a gloss over the top. The wear time on this is pretty good. I found if I applied in the morning all over the lip I could still see a slight stain over the lips by the end of the day, long after whatever I applied on top is gone. Not as strong as in the morning but still there. Impressive!

I actually really like this and think that it is a great place to pick up lip pencils. Lip pencils to me are like the boring makeup product that I usually don't bother buying. Why buy a lip pencil when you can get a LIPSTICK! But these actually do the job really well and are a reasonable price so I would recommend them to friends.

One Day, I Bought a Quad.

Kathleenlights' quad, to be more specific. Long story short, I paid $42 for this quad. Unnecessary, now that I look back on it, but to me the quality of these shadows are so good that it was worth it, in a way.

Cute, simple packaging that still manages to stand out. A white screw top jar with the Colourpop logo written on it in gold writing and the top is clear so you can see what colour is inside.

They have so many finishes, but this quad had 2 mattes, one pearlized and one metallic. Every shadow is perfection. Incredibly pigmented, the 2 non matte shades are beautifully shimmery without any chunks of glitter in them and the matte shades blend gorgeously as long as you use a synthetic brush. The texture of these shadows is extremely unique, halfway between a powder and a cream. They go on like a powder, so don't worry about it being too creamy, but when you put your finger into the pot you can leave little squishy indents in the product. To me, this texture is just so fun, but it also makes the shadows AMAZINGLY smooth and they have almost no fall out. It is best to use your fingers for packing it on the lid, because of the texture, that's how you get the best pigment. However like I said, if you use a synthetic brush to take them in the crease, it works beautifully.

I want more and more and more of these shadows. They're stunning and even though I'm usually a palette lover, these singles are not to be missed. Plus they're incredible value, even if the shipping is a little steep sometimes.

Tips: Keep the lid tightly shut so that the shadows don't dry out. And do not try to de-pot them... ever.

Schwarzkopf Extra Care Dry Shampoo Review

Great Product, Bad Packaging

I actually really really loved the quality of the product. This shampoo did smell kinda... overwhelming, but once you've sprayed it on the scent doesn't linger on your hair. It soaked up oil super well and I get EXTREMELY oily hair. It also gave me a lovely amount of volume and I thought it was totally worth every scent I paid.

Until the packaging decided to give out on me 3 or 4 uses into the canister. It just would not spray. I was uber disappointed but I also noticed that when I shook the can, it didn't feel like there was very much product in there to begin with. There was still quite a bit left when it broke, but overall I don't think it was worth even $8. Didn't bother repurchasing it after chucking it and I don't think I ever will.

YES! Exactly same thing happened to me except after one use, so annoying!

The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau de Toilette Review

Love The Fragrance, Lasting Power? Not So Much.

I absolutely adore this fragrance. From the first time I smelled it I fell in love and decided that I needed it. I didn't want to spend so much on it, so luckily I managed to score a mini one around Mother's Day for $18. And I'd say it was worth the money I paid for it, but would never buy a full size.

I'm obsessed with the smell of REAL cherry blossom so when my KMart body butter let me down by smelling too sweet and sickly, I was happy to find this to keep the scent going. It's definitely predominantly floral, rather than fruity. The smell of cherry blossoms mixed in with something... maybe apple? Very light, not overpowering at all and definitely feminine, which isn't what I usually go for but the smell is so pure and fresh that I can't help loving it.

The 10mL bottle I got is perfect for carrying around in the purse, which you'd need to do because the scent only lasts 2 or 3 hours before it fades. I love the pink, flowery sticker around the bottle. It's just too pretty! Overall for what I paid I think it was worth it, for $43? No chance.

Tips: I like to layer this with my Madagascan vanilla oil from The Body Shop, they make such a lovely pairing.

Oooh thanks Trudi I will DEFINITELY check that out.

This honestly takes me back to Japan, this scent. It's SO on point. Gorgeous. Have you tried the body spray? Just as lovely but more cost effective x

Jordana Eye Primer Review

Another Jordana gem

Jordana have done it again with their crazy cheap prices for great makeup essentials.

This primer comes in a small black screw top pottle with a clear window in the lid decorated with a stylised 'j'. Although the pic on here is pink, mine is more of a taupe colour - shade 01 (does it come in shades?)

The product itself is a 'cream cake' much like a cream eyeshadow or blush - I have applied it both with my finger and with a concealer brush and prefer the concealer brush myself.

It transfers a faint taupe tinge to my eyelids which is not discernible once my eye colour is on.

Shadows, pencil liner and liquid liner all sit well on top of the primer, and it certainly helps with smoother application of shadows.

It also seems to be increasing how long my eyes stay nice for, which is awesome - can't wait to test it out on a big night out!

when I remove my eye makeup it dissolves cleanly from my face with no trace left behind - and no reaction either.

My first eye-specific primer, and another addition to the 'makeup items Trudi MUST have' collection :p

Tips: Experiment with applying. Like I say a concealer brush has ended up working really well for this for me.

Slightly confusing..

I've tried this product about a dozen times and I don't really know if it makes much of a difference. It comes in a fairly bulky container and there is no separate compartment for the sponge so it rests on top all the time. It did alright as a primer but leaves a very satin-esq feel to your skin which you will either love or loathe. I found zero difference applying it on top of my makeup and you have to pat lightly otherwise it does a fantastic job of just shifting your makeup to a different part of your face. I haven't tried it as a skin refresher during the day because I'm at work running around all over the place and would much rather a cuppa than to use my breaks messing with my face. I've read many mixed reviews online in trying to figure out what this product was actually meant to do and perhaps I'm just not high-tech enough with makeup for this to be the right product for me. I dont think I will be using this product again.

Tips: Maybe this is one best left to beauty experts as it left me a bit lost.
