HOW IS IT NOT STAYING ON ME?

I bought mine from the Philippines for just $6 each, when I was on my holiday last month. Surprised it is being sold here thrice that price!

I looooooveee the shades! I have "Lover" and "Voyager". Both are easy to work with, glides on easily and great colour pay-off.

However, for some reason, it doesn't stay on me longer than 3 hours! I exfoliate and applies some lip balm before application but it just still wouldn't stay long at all. :(

Could the lipbalm be the culprit? Sometimes matte lipsticks/stains like that need to be applied onto very clean, dry lips to stay on properly.

On the fence with this one

This cute little eyecream came in a jar. It's pretty, it's luxurious, but it's so impractical. Why on earth force the user to dip their finger into the pot when a tube or even a pump bottle would allow much more precise control of the amount of product you get out. I tried using a spatula to scoop some product, but that still felt wasteful when transferring it onto my finger then onto my eyes.

Onto the actual cream itself. It's nonscented and extremely thick. You only really need a TINY amount for the whole eye area, (another reason I hate the jar type packaging). It's smooth and somewhat calming when applied, and it's almost like an eye massage as I rub this in gently. I feel like it helps plumpen the skin in the area without any irritation. At least in my mind the skin around my eyes are a little bouncier after using this. I also put this on the crow-feet area because you can never start prevention too early! It didn't do much in terms of dark circles when I had bad sleep or the fine lines.

For me eyecream isn't the most vital thing in my skincare, so I wouldn't have included this unless I noticed it working magic. There's so much product that this can easily last me till next year, so hopefully some long term effects start popping up as I continue to use it. For now though, I'm a little conflicted. It feels nice to apply, and somewhat helps with hydration, but it's not a holy grail that I can't live without.

Yep, but I didn't like the amount of product that the spatula picked up so I'm using my finger.

Mine came with a little black applicator...dipping fingers into jars is just gross.

One Of The Best Eye Creams

Ok I admit it, this is the first item I tried from the Trilogy Sensitive range, and I love it! At 25 ml's this is a good size, I like the glass jar, but I don't Love it, maybe a small pump type applicator or tube would be better, all this glass can get heavy, (if you are a traveller, your toiletries bag would be super weighty!!) The texture is that of a light lotion and this is not rich and heavy at all. This absorbs quickly into the skin, and it is a light non greasy eye cream, to be honest, this performs at the same level of some higher end eye creams I have used. I use this before my daily moisturiser, and it helps create a smooth base for eye makeup. Eyes and surrounding areas feel smooth and calmed and lightly hydrated, I like this cream so much, I have used it a a light facial moisturiser, and that works really well too. I have found you can use this morning and night, without over moisturising and no greasy eyelids yet. True to Trilogy form this has no scent, and feels really calming when used, this is in the goldilocks zone I feel this is "just right". A must to try if you are in need of a new eye cream, however this has no anti ageing properties whatsoever (would be nice if it did though), and again no SPF.

Tips: Can be used as a facial moisturiser as well, and pop it in the fridge for cool soothing application.

Glad I'm not the only one that seems to dislike the jar packaging!

L'Oreal Extraordinary Pre-shampoo Clay Mask

Having never used a pre-shampoo mask before, the issue I had with this product was the lack of instructions on the packaging. I had to look it up online, only because I wanted to be really sure I was using it right. So if you find yourself looking for instructions too, here it is: “On dry hair, before shampooing, apply the mask on the roots section by section making sure to fully cover the entire head. Leave for 5 minutes to absorb excess oil and impurities. Rinse while gently massaging the scalp to ensure all product is washed away. Follow with Extraordinary Clay Shampoo and Conditioner. Suitable for color-treated hair.”

I applied the mask to my roots, covering the entire head and let it do its thing for 5 mins. I must admit it does feel dry and stiff and not all that amazing but for 5mins its no big deal. I thoroughly rinsed it off in the shower, followed by shampoo and conditioning. The scalp felt clean and fresh and I was able to go without hair wash for three days, which is a first for me. I was worried the mask might make my scalp too dry and cause flakes/dandruffs but thankfully it didn’t.

Tips: Use the pre-shampoo mask once or twice a week before wash for fresh, lighter hair/scalp between washes.

ha! I was too excited to rip into the product to look properly. Thanks @Charmmy-Kitty :) Will know for next time ;)

The instructions are hidden under the sticker on the lid! You have to lift off the sticker to reveal a 'hidden page'. I almost missed it too.

Flowery but sweet

I'm a huge fan of the original chloe perfume and I bought this after my friend recommended it as a more 'white flower' alternative. I definitely smell a whole bunch of flowers together, a little bit of jasmine but also other flowers like a sunny yellow bouquet. Oddly enough, at first I smell apple juice?? Maybe my nose is playing tricks but there's the distinctive, fresh smell of crispy apples. (Am I going crazy lol)

The lasting power is quite something, I've been wearing this nonstop the last couple of days and last night I had a shower but this morning I could still smell it on my wrist! It dries down to become more heavily floral and less fresh, but it's enough to smell hints of this for a good day or even two after the initial spray.

I love the bottle, it makes me think of a glass bird cage. And it's shaped to fit nicely in my hand when I'm holding it.

I'd say this is more of a spring/autumn perfume, as it's maybe a little too strong for summer and a bit 'cold' for winter. But I'll still wear this all year around regardless!

Just read the description up the top and apparently there's apple blossom. Maybe that's the apple juice I'm smelling and I haven't gone mad.

Great hand hydrator

In my sample pack I was given this manicure hand bar. These sample packs are a cool way to try products out before committing to full sized bars. I got my sample pack when it was under sorbet. Their packaging and labelling has changed since then. My bars came individually wrapped in clear plastic and each bar was labelled on each packet. The box they came in was cool too it folded out and was easy to fold in.

I had a couple of these and gifted one on to a fellow br member. My bar I had was shaped like a little flower very cute. The consistency of this bar is solid and smooth. I do notice a coconut scent within this bar.

When I rub this in between my hands the coconut scent is fragrant. It feels smooth and does have an oily feel. I believe these bars are handy to use. Their easy to store in containers. I've never had any allergic reactions to these. I still have a couple of bars left , they have lasted me a very long time. I believe their priced affordably. I would definitely like to try more bars in their range. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Lol just realised this was the hand hydrator. Is great for nails. I definately want to repurchase this one too

Yay it's now on my 'to buy' list lol can't wait to try them out!

Hi there, You can buy these sample packs for $20 on their website. My lasted me so long because I used it in between other shampoos.

Do you buy these sample packs? Or do you get them with purchases? I really want to try these!

Goodness Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil

Like others I was lucky enough to win a bottle of this chia seed oil from Goodness and found it a pleasure to use. I found it moisturising enough to use both morning and night without moisturiser, and 3 drops was generally all I needed (4 if my skin was extra dry) so the bottle lasted a decent amount of time. The scent was nutty but mild and definitely bearable - I don’t actually remember if I noticed a scent when I used it, and I had to smell the now empty bottle to recall the scent.

It was my first time using a chia seed oil so I wasn’t sure how my oily/acne prone skin would react. The website claims it doesn't clog pores and that it's good for combo skin, and my experience definitely supports that - I had no problems at all and my skin seemed to love the product. It absorbed easily and didn't leave me looking oily. I’d happily purchase it for myself as it’s a no fuss product that works just as it should.

Tips: I like to add a drop to my foundation each day - it makes my foundation go on more smoothly and means it never gets stuck on flaky patches of skin.

Was this review useful to you? Yes No

I only use a drop and it works quite nicely without making it more likely to shift. Plus use powder on top anyway :)

Does putting it in your foundation change make it not as long lasting? I feel like it would shift more throughout the day if you put oil in it?

I could hardly smell this

I got this perfume in a sample set from Farmers, variations of which they do every year around Christmas. The set comes with 10 sample sized perfumes and a voucher to redeem for one of the perfumes in a full size (usually 30ml). I bought this to get out of my comfort zone somewhat with perfume as I rotate between two favourites, one of which was included in the set. I have in the past been pleasantly surprised by perfumes when I have put looks aside (I always judge a perfume by the bottle, bad I know), so I set about testing each sample.

Each sample is from 0.8 -1.0 ml, which I found enough for about a week of wear. I’m quite picky about what I do and don’t like, and first impressions are important for a perfume!

Unfortunately I could barely smell anything from this perfume, a problem I have never had before. When I did catch a whiff I found it to be a very old-fashioned floral scent. Very musky and dry and not something I would wear again. It is a delicate floral in that I can barely smell it but I would not call it sparkling. I don't find it modern at all. Disappointing.

Was this review useful to you? Yes No

Wow that's sad to hear! That's completely opposite to my opinion on it :O Is there any chance that the sample might have gone off? Because I have the 90ml version of this and it's really rosey and not at all musky!

Great but too dark

Ah the woes of being pale as a ghost! One of my constant troubles is there are about 2 foundations that suit my skintone and they happen to be asian bb creams that are extremely expensive here. When I saw Estee Lauder run the free 1 week sample promotion for this I thought I'd try my luck. So I went instore and a lovely lady matched my up with the lightest shade. I think it must've been the slightly yellow lighting instore but when I got home and looked at myself I saw a really yellow patch on my otherwise slightly rose but otherwise white face. I was however really impressed with the staying power, this really does live up to its name for longitivity. I have tried having a full face of this a couple times and it doesn't look too bad, as long as I blend down to my neck. Really wished they made a lighter shade because then I'd definitely go buy this!

Was this review useful to you? Yes No

I wish they made a lighter shade! I use this when I have fake tan on and it's my absolute fave foundation, but the lightest shade is still too dark for my natural skin tone. :(

Yes! The lights around the station were so yellow! It wasnt a very 'clear' light at all. But that might just be their ploy to make it look better

I agree, my first test pot was much darker once I saw myself in regular light. I went back and brought along my regular foundation and was told it was too light for me (it's not), so I blame the yellow lighting in store! I blend two shades.

First ever cushion foundation

I was super excited to be on the trial team for this since I'd been eyeing up cushion foundations for ages now. This came in a palm sized purple container which is super cute and easy to carry. I am however a little worried that it won't last me long since the cushion seems to hold very little product.

There is a little spongy cushion on the top when you open the lid and then there's another airtight lid underneath that. The cushion that holds the actual foundation seems to be pretty soaked. I watched some online videos and apparently you just gently press it down then use the face puff thing to apply to your face. It felt pretty smooth when I'm applying it but I might try it with a beauty blender instead of the original puff since it's quite difficult to get into the nooks and crannies of my face. Coverage is a bit sheer and I find I have to apply two layers for it to be satisfactory. But the good thing is it looks and feels very light. It dries to a very satin, slightly dewy finish but I immediately matte it out with some finishing powder. I applied it this morning as soon as I got it and in the afternoon it still looked pretty good. My eyelids had a tiny bit of creasing going on and some fine wrinkles were showing but I'd say overall saying power is good. I got the shade porcelain which is the lightest shade in their range. It was still a bit too dark for me (note: my shade=ghost) and I had to bring it down to my neck. I really wish they had it maybe one or two shades lighter. There is no smell and it's easy to remove with a makeup wipe. I don't think I would purchase again unless they decided to expand their range of shades.

Totally agree about the blender shame about the colour

Hi I have used it more since then but the main problem I have is that it's a bit too dark. And I did try it with a beauty blender which felt easier to apply and the finish was a bit more even.

Hello have you used it more than once?has using it made you like it more or less?(:
