Peel Then Clay/Mud Masque? Or Mud/Clay Masque Then Peel?

So I really have been into masques - peels, mud masques, hydrating wash off masques, sleeping masques, sheet masks, etc. I like to double mask, it makes both products work better and the products I have had around for awhile get panned off quicker. Now I know that a moisturizing, calming, soothing or sheet mask should come after an exfoliating or deep cleansing mask or after a peel. But should I use a wash off peel before or after a mud or clay masque? Which order would give me better results?

I don't double mask but I would've thought the mud mask before the peel as mud masks are more for deep cleansing perhaps?

Hmm I'm not too sue aye, I guess it depends on the type of clay mask that you use. I think there are soothing/calming mud masks too.

a wash-off peel? I thought the purpose of a peel was to ....peel?

Or do you mean a chemical peel? If it's a chemical peel i wouldn't mask after one of those.

Actually, i wouldn't mask after a peel off mask either, it's new skin. I'd just hydrate - maybe a sleeping mask at most.

Yes, the wash off chemical peels. I have a couple of them with glycolic and a variety of skincare acids. I do have one of what I think they are called gommage peels where you rub and it balls up your dead skin cells or something like that, but I haven't opened and tried it yet. It sounds more gentle than the skincare acids.

I have never thought of double masking. I love masks, I am currently enjoying the new L'Oreal clay mask.
