I have several broken veins on my face-i think theyre called spider veins. Does anyone else have these and what can I do to try and fade them or get them to go! I could easily go without foundation if it wasnt for these things! I hate them! lol

I have a few too but they don't really bother me their only teeny tiny. Probably from drinking too much alcohol lol. If your after more natural home remedys you can try rubbing in some apple cider vinegar, and getting more garlic, cayenne & ginger into your diet. Also massaging with some rosemary oil or arnica may help. Other then that the only thing I can think of is probably lazer treatment :\

I've also read rosehip oil can help, I am using this but havn't noticed any fading as yet on the veins at least (been great for my other gripes so far though). I've only been using it a little over a month so far so time will tell :)

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. I don't have any big spider veins but a do have a few broken capillaries on my face. Isn't it annoying when you could have nye perfect skin with the exception of a few things but those problems are so difficult to get rid of?

Depends on the cause of the broken capillaries. If it's rosacea, then antibiotics can help since it's caused by a bacterium. If it's genetic, no creams are going to fade it -- you'll need a dermatologist.

To stop them getting worse or from getting more of them, be really gentle with your skin -- nothing aggravating, use tepid water (hot water makes it worse), don't scrub at your face.

Electrolysis is highly effective in removing red veins :)

You can ring around beauty therapists and even caci clinic, they can zap them by having a needle/probe inserted in the broken vein with electrolysis to fade them and even get rid of them, if you find an independent beauty therapist who has a good reputation in electrolysis it would be cheaper than caci clinic.

You could even ring around beauty schools and see who needs models for red vein work :)

I get them on the side of my thighs and its getting really noticeable and im only 17, ive had them since I was about 10 so im guessing its genetic. Can I get these lasered? my mum told me about some method to do with a needle but I'm not too keen on that haha

When they are on your face you need to make sure you use a sunscreen daily as this helps stop them from getting worse (taken from a website about them).  I have some around my nose only really noticeable by me but I am self conscious about them so I know what it's like.  I have started using Rosehip oil to help as I've read that can help.  Also they can be associated with a blood disorder.  I also read that you can use lemon juice to help fade them - mix in with your moisturiser or on its own. I will be trying this as well.  Good luck :)

IPL can apparently help with this, but it's not cheap. I wonder if a retinol cream would help?
