Salon gel nails

It all depends on the brand of polish that they used. If a hybrid gel polish was used (not a true gel, it doesn't get cured in a UV or LED lamp), then only about a week. If it was proper gel polish that was cured in a lamp, it will all depend on the brand. Some last 14 days, some last up to 21 days. On toes, gel polish can last 6 to 8 weeks.
It it also depends on the salon you went to. If they didn't prep your nails correctly, or didn't follow manufacturers instructions, over cured, under cured, or didn't apply the correct base products, this could all affect longevity.
Lastly, what you do can also affect your polish. If you work with lots of water (eg: hairdresser, etc), or you swim a lot, soak in the bath, wash dishes without gloves, etc, your gel polish will chip and lift quicker. Applying cuticle oil daily can help prolong your manicure but it all depends on what other hobbies and daily activities are also affecting your manicure.
