Another Oasis Beauty!

I still have mine in the older packaging with the vacuum pump - it's just run out and I'm a little sad as this is my fave packaging ever. It gets every last drop out.

First up - the smell. Well, I'm not really a fan as its quite "earthy" and "natural" however it doesn't last long enough for it to be an issue. I've been using 2 - 3 pumps for my neck and face and the bottle has lasted quite some time. A few months to be exact.

It's very easy to apply to your skin by just gently rubbing it in. It's quite a thick oil so not one I would recommend using during the day before make-up, strictly a night time oil for me. It takes a bit longer to absorb than I can wait around for in the morning. I find I wake up with softer, smoother skin after having used this the night before. All in all, this could be a 5-star product except I found it made zero difference to any oil producing qualities in my skin. I still have an oily nose and chin much to my disappointment.

Straight Up The Best Facial Oil 4 Oily Skin Ever!

I have used many different facial oils and tried different brands and this one is the one that takes the cake for oily skin. It's so light but so hydrating. It starts absorbing within ten seconds of application and absorbs within like two minutes and that's being generous and overestimating how long it takes to absorb, because when I apply it, it seems to absorb much quicker. This is fantastic because I like to layer my skincare and the quicker it absorbs the sooner my skincare routine is completed and I can go on with my day or night. When I use it balances out my skin and my face is actually less oily at the end of the day. I don't know how Oasis does it but this is a superb blend. I highly recommend this for those who have oily skin and are looking for a facial oil to balance things out. It was actually so light that when late autumn and winter happened it wasn't moisturizing enough and put this away and pulled out my rosehip oil and other more moisturizing oils. It's also the best oil that I have come across to use if I want to use a facial oil but have a few breakouts going on at the same time. The main ingredient calendula oil helps to calm down my skin. In addition to that it has a bit of tea tree and manuka oil which is good for breakouts. Despite having tea tree oil it is really gentle, honestly apply this all over my face without avoiding my eye area and it doesn't sting or cause any irritation at all. I should also mention that for a product containing tea tree oil it doesn't smell strong or stink, which is amazing for a product that also doesn't any added fragrance to mask the smell. It does have a very slightly hinting towards herbal scent but that is hardly noticeable to me. I love how Oasis Beauty doesn't have any cheap fillers in their products and everything in their formulations is there to perform a function and work synergistically with each other. So while this is a bit pricey it is worth it. I definitely recommend this for anyone with acne prone or oily skin. Needless to say I will be repurchasing this.

Tips: This isn't just for oily or acne prone skin, if you are pressed for time in the morning and need an oil the absorbs pretty much pronto after you pat it on your face this is a fantastic option. It wears pretty well under makeup too.

Pleasant surprise

I have combination skin, so I'm one of those lucky human beings that get to worry about zits AND dryness. As such, I'm always wary of products to control oil production, as they tend to dry me out.

But I should have trusted the awesome team at Oasis. Once again, they have created a lovely product!

I used three or four drops of this on my face after cleansing and toning, before moisturising. I found after applying my serum, I needed much less moisturiser.

After a few days of using this product I realised that my skin had cleared up and was looking really good. I had stopped using my (Oasis!) BB cream a couple of weeks earlier because I've been sweating it off, so I was delighted to realise that with regular use of this serum my skin was looking clear and blemish-free.

As usual for an Oasis product, it does have a scent, but it's an 'active', 'real' smell that I assume is simply a product of the ingredients, rather than something artificial and cloying. Also as usual, the product is designed for sensitive skin, so I had no worries there (I occasionally get a strong reaction to a product).

I didn't expect this one to be something I 'needed' in my routine, but I think I've been converted!

Tips: Oasis do generously-sized samples of their products, so you can always try before you buy.

Oil control

A nice bottle with a pump top to squeeze out a small amount of this light golden serum, it looks and feels like an oil. Fragrance is like a tea tree olive oil.

This I've found takes a we while to soak into my skin and leaves a slight residue, even though it feels light it is quite rich. I have dry skin and the response I got to this serum was a softer more hydrated skin.

I didn't get any irritation from using this, I found it nice and soothing, this is meant for an oily skin not a dry combination like mine. But under my night cream I liked it, and when I have breakouts it's nice to use this with out feeding my spots but keeping my skin feeling moisturised.

Straight No

I got a little sample of this serum, and as it is made to control oil production and breakouts, I couldn't wait to use it. It ended up lasting a fairly long time too, which is amazing for the size of the sample I got.

The serum is a gorgeous gold color and is oily in consistency (obviously). It's lovely. I use 2-3 drops for all over my face and I either use it alone or with a moisturizer. It felt really nice on my skin and I was overjoyed.

However, that's where the love affair ends, as I found this product was awful at getting rid of breakouts, and it actually gave me more pimples than I had before. It's quite disappointing as it was so promising, but it can't be helped, and I wouldn't repurchase because of it.

Not so sure

I have been using this off and on over a few months and I have to admit I liked it at first, it was light weight and seemed to help my skin but over the last couple of months my skin has been awful and this hasn't helped in the slightest.

I think I have reacted to the tea tree oil in it as I may have developed a sensitivity to it in the quest to rid my skin of spots and pimples. As I said this worked wonders at first but I was using other products from different brands back then too. I also find the the product settles over time too so maybe the ingredients weren't as well mixed (although I often remember to shake well before use).

The pump bottle is easy to use and is exactly like other bottles in the Oasis range. The serum looks and feels like oil but absorbs in to the skin after a little while, and it smells a bit like caster oil but with a hint of tea tree.

The last few weeks my skin has been a mess and I only found relief by stopping use of the products in my regular routine and resting my skin. I don't think this product is suitable for long term use but that is just in my experience and I know others who use it successfully month after month.

Tips: Grab a sample to try.

Fabulous blemish & oil control

A sample size of this serum was in the "Jackpot" Goodie Bag that I ordered from Oasis.

I've used serums in the past, but was a little skeptical about this one as it is an oil and I have oily skin. But then I remembered how well the Oil Cleansing Method works for me and gave it a go anyway.

I began using this serum a week before my brother's wedding as I'd been battling for 4 weeks with a sudden acne breakout over my cheeks and nothing seemed to be helping. I had nothing to lose and wasn't really expecting any miracles, but wow! this serum really does work. By the end of the week my skin was clear and blemish free, just in time for the family wedding photoshoot!

Even thought it's an oil, it's non-greasy and is absorbed quickly into the skin. I found that 4 drops from the little sample bottle was sufficient to do both my face and neck and the subtle jasmine fragrance is really beautiful.

I only applied the serum at night and did this by placing 4 drops into the palm of one hand, then gently rubbed my hands together before patting the oil over my face and neck. I gently massaged the warmed oil into my skin until all of it was absorbed. I chose not to apply a moisturiser on top as the serum was sufficient for my oily skin, but I did apply an eye cream.

Be careful if you use this serum in the morning, as applying an oil to your face can promote sun damage. If you do choose to use it in the morning, make sure to apply a good quality sunscreen on top.

Tips: If you feel oily after applying this serum, you're probably using too much! Blot lightly with a tissue to remove any excess and try using less the next time you apply it.

A great option for combination skin

I received a generous sized sample of this from my Oasis goodie-bag. As far as serums go this is quite a dry formulation, lending itself very well to oily or combination skin. It absorbs into the skin super fast without leaving it feeling greasy or shiny. I love using this when I have active breakouts as I am a bit reluctant to put heavier oils such as rosehip on my face at this time so this fits the bill nicely. Will be repurchasing when money allows as it is a little bit pricy (but worth it if it fits your skin type IMO).

Liquid gold

This stuff is pure gold. It is my little bit of luxury at the end of each day. I apply this before bed straight after cleansing and toning with Oasis products if budget allows. My skin laps it up and immediately my skin glows. Long term my face has cleared up of blemishes and reduction of oil. Overall moisture levels have increased.

The product it itself is a gold thickish oil with the wonderful healthy smell of manuka oil. It leaves the skin velvety smooth not even lightly oily.

I love that this products works and naturally.
