Great product to use + SPF15

I first tried the Age Proof SPF15 moisturiser and although I liked it, it was a little too thick for me to get it again so I opted for this one as I like the Vital Moisturiser and thought that with the SPF15 would be a good morning option. First impressions are that it is much more to my liking and that it is not as thick as the Age Proof version. It has the same great scent as the Vital Moisturiser, very fast absorbing, and simply that if feels like pure protective goodness on my face. A Fantastic product to use

Trilogy Moisterising Cream

Having read all the comments about this cream makes me wonder why everyone dislikes it! I really like it. It makes my skin feel hydrated and soft after application. It is quite a thick cream and drys onto your face quite quickly which is a bit annoying.

Not right for my skin

I really like quite a few Trilogy products and really wanted to love this. I received one in the second BRBB but had already been using it beforehand. The scent of this is nice and the cream is what you would expect from a nice thick rich face cream. I have combination skin and I found it was too much for the parts of my skin that can get a bit oily. I expected because it is such a rich cream it would be quite moisturising but it just made my forehead really oily and not very nice. I used it for about month in the end but my skin just did not suit it.

Good standard cream.

I was sent one of these in the March beauty review beauty box and I was excited to try it especially since it was the first Trilogy product I had tried plus I had heard a lot of great things about their products.

It comes in a modern looking tube, its white with a silver lid, I don't know why but over the weeks the tube has discolored, not that its affected the product in any way.

It is heavy scented, it reminds me of the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour balm, it is a similar smell, quite fragrant and if you don't like strong scented things I don't think you will like this especially using it on your face.

The cream is thick and you need to rub it in a few times to get it absorbed into your skin. What I do is I squeeze some out the size of a 50 cent coin and rub it on my hands before rubbing it onto my face. Warming the cream makes it absorb quicker compared to applying it directly on to my face.

Even though it states that its a lightweight cream, I find it quite heavy and rich. I like to apply this in the morning after I wash my face. And it keeps my face looking dewy until the afternoon.

Overall I find it a good moisturizing cream, I would pay $30 maximum for this cream. I wont be purchasing this unless its on sale.

One Star Wonder!

I too got this is in the BRBB from March. Let me tell you how excited I was getting such a high end product! I haven't found Trilogy very effective for me in the past except for the Rosehip Oil so was a bit hhhmmm about it to be honest. This for $49.95 surely has to be some sort of miracle cream right? Wrong! The tube itself is of highend quality with it's chic clean looking feel to it. I love how it has a foil tag over the opening to ensure freshness. I think of it as a security measure too knowing that noone else has had a test of it.

The cream itself is thick and creamy. It feels like silk smoothing it on to my face and this one is a bonus with SPF15. I wish it was SPF 30 so I wouldn't have to apply more sunscreen to ensure a minimal of 30. The cream absorbs in to my skin fairly well but I find it leaves a greasy looking film making me look like a teen mid puberty eeww!

My face stings after using this! I thought it may just be something that would wear off, so persisted with using it. Fast forward six weeks and my skin is feeling raw and irritated every single time after using this cream. I would think being of such 'quality' that my skin would have seen some sort of positive change but if anything it made it worse. My skin was sore to touch in certain areas and developed redness. My dry skin was even drier! How is this possible when this is a moisturizer?! I'm glad i didn't pay for this and waste my money on something that makes my skin worse than before! Very disappointed!

It's okay, but extremely pricey!

I received this in my Beauty Box and I was super excited to try this as I love some of their other products and with a price point like this you would expect to! Packaging is pretty standard with the rest of their range and same goes with the scent of the product, quite light/natural and not heavily scented. I have used the product up but it I didn't notice any changes or feel like it hydrated better than my other moisturisers. It just didn't have that wow factor I was expecting and I don't think I will repurchase.

Not For Me

Like many other ladies, I got this in the BRBB. I was super excited as I'm always looking for a good moisturiser as my skin is very dry, and this is out of my budget.

I like the packaging - it is very simple but it looks nice and feels expensive. The tube is easy to squeeze and to get the exact amount of product you want out.

The first thing that out me off about this was the smell. It smells really herby - which isn't something that usually bothers me but the smell in this was quite strong and I didn't like it. However if I liked the formula I would have used this despite the scent.

I don't know what caused it but for me this made my skin STING. I don't have sensitive skin but my skin is dry. Upon using this my fave stung and it went really red - I am guessing that I had a reaction to something in this. Thinking that it could have been my skin just being sensitive that particular night, I proceeded to use this another 2 occasions - weeks apart, to see if I had the same reaction and I did.

Don't let this out you off - I just want to let others know in case you have sensitive skin. If you do I wouldn't recommend it, as my skin isn't sensitive but I had a reaction to it.

I can't really talk about how well it worked in terms of moisturising because I washed it off a few minutes after application due to the burning sensation. Because of my reaction I gave this all one star but for those who haven't had a reaction this might be worth looking in to.

Based on my reaction to this there is no way I would ever buy it or use it again. In saying that I assume that my reaction is the exception rather than the norm - everyone's skin acts differently.

Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream SPF15

This is the only Trilogy product that I have tried and not loved so far. I use several of their products daily and rate them highly, but this one just doesn't have the same magic for me.

I'm not sure if I just bought a dud batch but the consistency coming out of the tube appears to be a bit patchy like the product is separating. I find giving the tube a good shake first sorts it out but I did find this a bit disappointing.

Overall though, I think this moisturiser just feels a little too heavy and greasy on my face for day time use. It does the job and I will finish off the tube (mainly because it was expensive!) but I think I will try something different when this runs out.

Felt lovely as a hand cream, but not for my face

I received this in the March Beauty box and was super excited. I love trilogy products but they're usually a little out of my day to day price range. I opened it straight away and tried some on my hand and it felt amazing and silky. Unfortunately, when I used it on my face the smell of rose was really overpowering for me. I do like the smell of rose, but too much i can't handle, and I think having this on my face just made it so much more potent. It also felt a little bit heavy for my skin, and took a while to absorb. However my Aunty loves and uses trilogy products, so I passed it on to her, and she adores it, so be perfect for anyone who loves the smell of rose :)

TRilogy Vital Moisturising Cream

I was lucky to get one of these in my march bb. i have been using after my skinfood exfoliating scrub, i like how it is a nice thin cream with a lovely scent to it.. it rubs across my skin nicely and drys pretty quick. it gives my faces a nice nourishing feeling and is soft to touch. Really love all the trilogy products! can't wait to try more!
