So good for sunburn

I got this face mask a while ago for my sunburn face, and it was so good it healed the sunburn with a max of two uses. this face mask was cooling and so nice on the face. The reason i have not used it since, is because its a bit overpriced for the amount you are getting and, i only ever need it when im burnt in the summer.

Tips: i would recommend only buy during the summer for sunburn, otherwise its not really worth buying. and refrigerating it so it is nice and soothing when you put it on

Too drying for me

I'm not a huge fan of clay based masks as I don't enjoy the tightening sensation they have on my skin. So, I only pick up Lush fresh masks up when I'm taking my five empty pots back and I'm getting them for free.

The first time I tried this, I loved it! The smell is incredible - like actual roses, not a 'granny rose' scent. The next pot I got of this, I wasn't so keen - maybe the formula or ingredients have slightly changed? It left my skin feeling tight and dry afterwards, despite leaving it in for the minimum recommended time. I was surprised at this as this mask is recommended for sensitive skin which I certainly don't have. It also takes a bit of rubbing with a muslin cloth to get it off.

I won't be using this again but if you like clay based masks and rosy scents, this may be for you!

A tinge drying but no more redness!

I'm not a big Lushie so I was a bit sceptical of this facemask before I used it. It is extremely thick and a pale pinky brown. It is one of the few Rose scented products where the scent is not too strong or weak and smells like heaven! I keep it in the fridge as the tub says and kept it on my face for 15 minutes. It dries out on your face and towards the end, it starts to crumble a bit in some areas. It comes of smoothly with a wet face towel and afterwards my face was rid of all redness ! The one con is that it dries our your face quite a bit, as quite a few people have found so put some moisturiser on afterwards!

Tips: Store in fridge and put moisturiser on afterwards!

The Face Mask of Princesses

If you want a cooling, pampering face mask that smells AMAZING, then Rosy Cheeks is for you. Like all Lush face masks it's super freshly made and needs to be kept refrigerated. The consistency is extremely thick, so you need to work it quite a bit to achieve a thin layer for your face. It's pale pink and smells like a thousand million roses crammed into one tiny little recycled plastic pot. While on it feels very cooling to the skin, lovely.

Unfortunately though this face mask didn't really do much for my skin. I didn't notice any real changes, my complexion remaining just the same as usual (redness with some breakouts). So while it was lovely to use I wouldn't really recommend it, and wouldn't buy again.

Just Rosy!

I got a generous sample of this from Shaza the beautiful lady! I had enough to do two whole face masks in the sample which was enough to make me realize that I NEED this in my life! It's just fab!

It is a nude pink sort of colour and has the texture of a thick paste. I have fallen in love with Rose Jam from Lush so the smell of the rose calls to me on every level of bliss possible! As I smooth it on my skin it starts to take a hold of my skin and tighten.I make sure I avoid any sensitive areas like eyes, nose holes and mouth. Please note that this works best after cleansing and toning your face beforehand which is what I did. Once applied I sit back with a book or Netflix and let it work its magic. I feel the mask dry and tighten further. I leave it on for 15 min and rinse afterwards finishing with moisturiser.

The great thing about this mask is that it doesn't leave my skin red or angry like some masks do due to my sensitive skin. My skin feels like a whole new face has emerged. It's soft, supple and clear. I loved it so much that I had to buy the big tub for $16.50. Best money ever to feel pampered and clean. I use this once a week, usually on a Sunday while I am relaxing. It just kick starts my skin in to a good position before the week ahead. If you love the scent of roses and beautiful skin this is def for you!!

Tips: Cleanse and tone first. Keep in mind it's a fresh face mask so it expires after two weeks and take in to account postage time. I actually froze mine in to cubes and it still works!

Everyone needs to try this!

Unless you're allergic to any of the ingredients or hate the smell of roses, then there is no reason you shouldn't go and try this! It is suitable for all skin types and is hands down one of the best clay masks I've ever used.

I was lucky enough to be given a sample of this by my gorgeous friend, she always spoils me with Lush samples and she had nothing but good things to say about this mask. I was reluctant at first because I'm not always the biggest fan of rose scents, that and the fact that this is aimed at calming irritated skins I didn't think I would like it very much or see any benefits. Oh, I was very mistaken.

Scent: This is the most beautiful rose fragrance I have ever smelt, it is like a mix of fresh blooms and turkish delight, it's quite strong but it does dull down as the mask sets. I really do like it even though I am picky about scents.

Product: With glycerine being the first ingredient in this lovely concoction, it makes the mask very smooth and silky feeling, it also makes it a little harder to spread over the skin since it's quite thick, I find using a stiff paddle brush works well for application. Once on it takes around 10-15 minutes to completely dry down. What I love about this mask, and what makes it appropriate for all skin types, is that as it sets it doesn't pull at the skin and create that awful tugging feeling. It is so gentle and soft that you don't have to worry about your skin drying out even more because the clay properties are so mild. To remove I like to wet a wash cloth with warm water and hold it on the skin to reactivate the clay, this way it becomes easy to wash away without pulling at the skin too much. I find this mask rinses cleanly and I don't have to go over my skin too many times to get rid of residue. Afterwards my skin is left incredibly soft, smooth and has a subtle glow. I feel fresh, refined and soothed, it's an outstanding mask and I wish I could purchase this in a giant squeeze tube.

Overall: Love it. It's amazing and I will definitely look at picking it up. The only thing that puts me off is that it's a fresh face mask and expires rather quickly, this means a lot can go to waste if you don't use this weekly/more than weekly.

This mask gives me life!

This was new to Lush and my heart skipped a figurative beat. The description of Kaolin clay and Turkish rose sold me within seconds, but I didn't buy it straight away. I waited, for what I didn't know, but I waited. Finally I bit the bullet and bought it last week, and I am left wondering why I didn't do it sooner!

The pot is the usual 45g size but the amount product you get is roughly 60g, which is more than enough for several faces, and some for your friend and her face. The mask itself is a light greyed pink kind of color, and you can see immediately that it is a smooth unmoving blob, and I can't even say for sure which product makes it so delightfully smooth.

Because it is quite thick, you need to loosen it up with water a bit to spread it easier, which is simple enough to do in your hands with a few drops of water. It spread evenly and surprisingly thinly, as I hadn't added much water to make it easier to apply. It dried like a dream, with no harsh pulling like you get with some clay based masks.

The thing I love the most about this mask is the smell - Roses, musk, baby powder... The combination of those smells is in this mask and it is lovely. Maybe a bit nana-ry to some but I loved it! It was enjoyable to have on my face just because of this! The mask came off easily with a flannel and some warm water, and my face is baby smooth and there is no redness. This mask is the absolute bomb and I'll be repurchasing!

YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE!!!!

I was so lucky to get this mask for free when I sent in 5 empty pots with my wonderful friend Laura (thanks babe, my personal Lush shopper you lol).

I was a bit dubious at first as to be honest, I'm not a massive Rose scent fan, but I had heard so many good things about it, so why not give it a try right?

Well anyone that uses Lush know these masks come in recyclable pots, love the fact they are so super user friendly and you get to get a freebie after you send in 5 pots, you lovelies at Lush rock, thank you so much xx

When you open the pot, you are hit with the most pleasant rose smelling scent, not overpowering which is great for us that aren't so keen on rose scents.

Because it is a fresh face mask, it was stored in the fridge and when you apply it, it is a bit cold but warms up against the natural heat of your skin, so the cold part doesn't last that long. Great for in the Summer though for cooling down.

Easy to apply, leave on for the amount of time recommended, which I did, and then remove. And omg, wow wow wow, talk about silky skin, I still can't stop touching my face and I applied it well over an hour ago ha ha ha.

Great for sensitive and dry skin, I'm going to be purchasing this in the future for sure.

Tips: If you are a bit worried about it reacting with your skin, see if you can get a sample of it, but if you have dry, sensitive skin like me, you will love it xx

Divine

I love the smell of rose, so was more than happy when the lush lady recommended I try this mask at the shop in exchange for my 5 pots. I like the fact that it's fresh and has to be kept in the fridge, with a short shelf life, thus encouraging you to actually use it. As I first mentioned, it smells lovely, a really strong but pleasant rose smell. The mask is pale pink and thick and creamy when it goes on. As it's kept on the fridge it's really cooling to put on your face. They recommend leaving on for 10-15 mins before rinsing off. I left mine that time and found that it had dried quite well, think this is what it is supposed to do. Once in the shower it was fairly easy to rinse off with water and did not sting my eyes at all. After getting dry I though my face did clean and soft. I would use it again purely for the smell and the fact that it cleaned my face so well. I cannot comment on the calming abilities as I have not used it with any irritability on my face yet.

Tips: Keep in the door of your fridge for best shelf life.

Smelling Rosy

When I got a friend to purchase me the Comforter she popped in this sample of Rosy Cheeks face mask. I was very excited about this mask because it is one of the latest masks that is currently out from Lush.

This sample pot came in a miniture size of the Lush pots. The texture of this mask is smooth with a clay texture. This looks like a pale shade of pink. Instantly when I first opened this pot I smelled the aroma of freshly picked roses. This scent is ideal for rose lovers. Strong floral rosey notes with a subtle sweet ending note.

Before applying this I like to gently cleanse my skin. I found just a half of teaspoon of water mixed into this clay mask makes it easier to spread onto my face. I like to leave this mask on for at least twenty to thirty five minutes. I had no irritations at all on my combination skin. It easily washes off with water and a cloth.

After using this my skin feels refreshed and clean. I can feel all the impurities being washed away. My skin looks clearer slightly vibrant than it was before. I think price wise its fair for a great quality packaging thats durable and being fresh and vegan gives this product that extra special quality that stands out to me against other brands. I'd happily buy this mask and I've enjoyed using it.
