You can do better

I like a several of the Revitanail products, but this one let me down a little. The main issue I have is the brush - it's quite coarse, and feels weird when applying the oil. The oil itself is fine, rubs into the cuticles fine, no offensive smell. If only the brush was not coarse plastic - a dropper would have been better. Good sized bottle.

Underwhelming

I really, really, really wanted to love this. But sadly, it was not love at first sight (or even love after a month of religious trial). First off, nowhere could I find what oils are in the bottle. This was a concern, as the Revitanail Strengthener contains formaldehyde. But, let's pretend it's all kosher.

Sadly, the oils are watery. If that's even a thing. It wasn't nice and thick, nor did it smell overly pleasant. The brush is quite stiff and wiry, I would have liked a dropper better. It did rub in ok, but it felt a little too greasy.

I really didn't notice any improvement in the condition of my cuticles (and trust me, they were not in tip top condition to start with). An underwhelming, unknown quantity. I'll stick to my Skinfood Coco+Nut oil, or just good old Rosehip thanks.

Tips: Save your pennies - use oil already in your cupboard instead of shelling out extra for this.

Oh that's disappointing! I nearly bought some - glad I didn't. I'll stick with sweet almond oil. Thanks :)

Underwhelming oil

Off the bat I can't say I'm a fan but I can't say I hate this oil. It is quite thin, but it sinks into my cuticles well. Unfortunately it does leave a oily film on my fingertips after rubbing it in, so I end up having to wipe my hands (not around my nails) before doing anything more. The brush is quite coarse, but not too worried about that given I just gently use it to deposit the oil.

My cuticles are in slightly better condition than they were, they still don't look great, but they don't catch on things as easily. One good thing about the oil is that it didn't hurt if it touched cuts/dermatitis, which is something I struggle with when it comes to nail products.

All up, I wanted to see more for everyday application for almost 4 weeks. Wouldn't buy myself.

Awesome Oil

My nails and cuticles were crying out for help so I was really pleased to be chosen for this trial. The oils comes in the standard revitanail black and red box . Inside a small clear bottle like a nail polish with a brush in the black lid. The oil is the usual light yellow with a very slight scent which is hard to discern. I like the brush applicator as oil is nice and light so easy to apply where you want and easy to massage into cuticles and nails. This oil has a mix of known oils such as apricot, olive, almond, jojoba to name a few and includes vitamin A & E. My cuticles are so much softer after using this oil for three weeks and I can now see the moons on all my nails which looks really good. I had a really hard dry piece of cuticle on one finger due to excessive gardening and that has softened and almost gone even though I have done a lot of gardening over last three weeks . The oil is easy to apply and I find I pop on my cuticles while watching telly and massage in. My nails and cuticle feel so much better and I will continue to use as a really good product.

Tips: Massage in while watching TV as a good habit

Feels really nourishing

I've been enjoying using this as part of the strengthening system. I find the oil simple to use, with its brush applicator. It soaks in nicely, if you don't use too much. Looking forward to completing the system, my nails are so much stronger!

Nourishing oil

I added this into my revitanail routine morning and night massaging it into my cuticles. This gave a good amount of nourishment to my nails, and I felt that it was easily absorbed into my nails. I have noticed a little bit of peeling around my nails and wonder if it possibly gave too much moisture for this to happen.

The oil isn’t scented which is nice, so i don’t have to worry about overpowering fragrance. The bottle size is the same as the revitanail so should last quite some time. Overall I’m happy with my results my nails are looking really healthy which they haven’t in quite some time so I think the oil works well in the revitanail regime.

Lovely oil for nails

This nourishing oil contains essential oils and Vitamin A & E and claims to nourish and moisturise the cuticles and nails. I found this really easy to apply, you basically just brush the oil onto your nails and cuticles and then massage in. The oil has a lovely sweet fragrance and felt lovely on my nails and skin. After a couple of weeks I did find a marked improvement on the condition of my cuticles and they looked and felt a lot better. The oil can be a little messy and take a little while to get absorbed so make sure you take 5 minutes out of your day to treat your nails and relax!

Revitanail Nourishing Oil

Thank you beauty review for allowing me to trial this product full stop I have suffered from dry flaky cuticles and weak brittle nails for as long as I can remember so I was very excited to get started with this.

The packaging of the typical nail polish bottle. I do like the brush however as it is slightly bigger. This product is a nourishing oil there for the consistency is like oil and The Scent is a little bit like a natural oil scent if that makes sense.

To use this product you simply apply to your cuticles and massaging for one minute. You can apply as often as you like.

I feel like this and nourishing oil has definitely helped to make my cuticles look more fresh. They aren't as dry looking as they used to be and they look a lot healthier you now so I will definitely continue to use this product and would highly recommend it.

Tips: I was applying this at night time to really let it soak in and do it's magic while I was asleep.

Revitanail Nourishing Oil Review

After being sent the product to trial alongside the Retivanail Nail Strengthener, I followed the instructions and applied it once a day after letting the Strengthener dry.

It felt nice going on, it made my cuticles shiny however wasn’t overly greasy which was nice. It was easy to apply, and I love that a little goes a long way so it will last a super long time. I found the brush wasn’t too stiff or anything, so it was easy enough to apply. At $17 RRP though? No, I definitely wouldn’t repurchase. It felt and looked nourishing going on, but my cuticles look like they are in exactly the same condition they were at the beginning of the trial - they are still torn on some of my nails, and quite rough. I was applying the oil almost everyday, so it is quite disappointing to not see a noticeable result. Maybe I needed to apply a lot more?

I will continue to use it and I hope there is a change. However, since I’m used to applying a cuticle oil daily now, I’ll probably start using a couple of other cuticle oils I have received in the past (but didn’t get into the habit of using) instead to see if they make a noticeable difference. I feel like there is probably a much better alternative out there that probably comes at a better price point - potentially even a nice hand cream might give better results, plus be multi purpose!

Revitanail Nourishing Oil

I have weak dry nails and I haven’t been able to find a solution for it, so I was very excited to be chosen to be part of this trial team. I followed the instructions and currently on my 3rd week of the 4 week nail challenge. I first applied the Revitanail Nail Strengthener and let that dry before I applied the Nourishing Oil.

The brush was gentle, and I just applied it on to my nails like I do with nail polish. I let it sit there for a bit before I massaged it into my cuticles and nails. The Revitanail Nourishing Oil felt light and non-greasy and it easily absorbed into my nails and skin.

The Revitanail Nourishing Oil is amazing! My cuticles and the skin around my nails weren’t dry anymore, which was a struggle for me in the past. My nails also weren’t dry and no new cracks have shown up. I recommend this product to anyone who has weak, dry nails.

Tips: Apply it after the Revitanail Nail Strengthener
