The Body Shop Perfumed, Gel, Shea Butter Handcream

This handcream smells so lovely. It smells light and floral. The Body Shop have really nice small tubes that are easy to collect for your purse. The thing I really like about this handcream is that it has a gel like texture which absorbs so quickly which really suits those on the go. It comes in small tubes for your purse. The ingredients are water, glycerin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, sweet almond oil, sodium polyacrylate, parfum/fragrance, cetyl alcohol, pentaerythrityl distearate, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, cetearyl alcohol, cetearyl glucoside, soybean oil, orbignya oleifera seed oil, shea butter, myristamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate, sodium stearoyl glutamate, xanthan gum, disodium EDTA, myristyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, linalool, coumarin, alpha-isomethyl ionone, limonene, citric acid, caramel and CI 19140/yellow 5. So there is some good natural ingredients in there. The cons for me is that it doesn't offer enough hydration for my really dry hands, at least year round for it to be one of the main hand creams I use. Another big con is the high amount of fragrance is irritating to my eczema prone hands. The other smaller cons is that unless you are getting the big tube it is a bit pricey and the tube ends are a bit sharp and can poke holes in the cloth lining of your purse. It does make a really lovely gift though. I really wanted this one to work for me though.

Tips: This handcream makes a lovely gift for someone but if you have eczema prone skin or sensitivity to fragrance do test before purchase. Shea butter doesn't smell this lovely so to make this smell nicer there's a lot fragrance added.

Slightly priced but great treat

Slightly pricey for me but treated myself. Loved the gel type formula, soaked in quickly. Not thick but great to go on arms for light scent too.

Tips: The pink grapefruit scent is delicious too

Best hand cream money can buy!

I've always been a fan of the Body Shop ever since I was 14 and Vanilla oil was all the rage. So when my mum bought me this hand cream I was delighted. Having never tried this before and having seriously ugly dry hands I immediately noticed the effects after the first use. The cream was like a silk glove absorbing into my skin and leaving my poor cracked fingers like new again. The scent is divine. I am constantly asked what perfume I have on and people are generally surprised when I tell them its my hand cream. It also comes in a range of sizes so I can have a smaller size in my handbag at all times

Tips: if you have squeezed a little too much out, rub it into your neck and chest. The scent is amazingly feminine and your skin will thank you too.

Smells so good!

One of my friends got this for me for my birthday and what a great gift! It smells divine, has a good creamy texture and leaves my hands feeling really soft and lovely without the weird stickiness that moisturisers and hand creams sometimes leave. I love it!

Love It!

The Body Shop Shea hand cream is amazing, soaks into the skin well, leaving the hand soft and well-moisturized. Not to mention the amazing smell lasts forever.

hands so soft

I purchased this as I'm a mum and a business owner so I am always on the go and battling all weathers. My hands get really dry especially around the top of my wrists. This cream hydrates fast and does the job without grease and oils. I'm able to put some on my hands just before meeting with clients to ensure that first hand shake will be as soft as a cloud. The packaging is great to as it looks metal however it is plastic but very strong and easy to get out of the tube. A great staple to the handbag of doom or the glove box of the car
