Dr Lewinn's Nice But Not Essential Hand Cream

I received this in the We Love Nails Best Beauty Box Ever. I was into collecting hand creams at the time and this helped persuade me into purchasing the box. This hand cream comes in a nice 100ml sized tube, not bad since a lot of other handcreams are more purse sized. The neutral white design of the tube makes it look good in on any bathroom, bedroom or desk setting. The scent is a neutral pleasant fresh one. The best thing about this hand cream is that it absorbs really fast making it convenient and one you'll have the time to reach for. The ingredients are water, aloe juice, glycol stearate, mineral oil, stearic acid, cetyl stearyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate, glyceryl stearate SE, dimethicone, glycerin, propylene glycol, ceteareth-20, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, thriethanolamine, parfum (benzyl salicylate, lilial, hexyl cinamal, limonene, linalool), vitamin B5, elastin, diazolidinyl urea, vitamin E, vitamin A and CI 17200. The cons for me about this handcream are than it did nothing for my nails and cuticles. Secondly, I have really dry hands so I need to reapply this handcream after an hour because of that I used up the large tube in two months. Usually a tube of handcream that's that size lasts me for like three or four months with regular applications. And lastly the price, given the list of the ingredients you'd find that in a handcream that costs much less and I have used more affordable handcreams that have done a better job of keeping my hands moisturized. So I won't be repurchasing this.

Tips: If you have really dry hands I would recommend you have other hand creams on hand to use as this one might not provide enough moisture.

A nice enough hand cream

I got this hand cream in one of the beauty vaults. I love trying out new creams and as this one is quite expensive, it was something I was looking forward to trying out.

This comes in a simple white tube with not a hug amount going on with the lettering. It looks quite clean and is easy to see whats going on. This is a pretty decent size for a handcream, 100grams.

The actual cream is white and quite thick. It has a pleasant scent which I can only describe as just smelling like lotion. It's not too overwhelming. I only use a small amount, like a baby pea size. It rubs in very easily and absorbs quite quickly too. My hands are left feeling velvety not greasy. I don't feel massive hydration though, I do have quite dry skin and I just don't feel like this gives all of the moisture that I desire. If you had more normal skin or maybe even oily, this might be a really good cream for you. I doubt that I'd buy this at fullprice but if it was in a giftpack or something, I'd use it again.

Amazing results

Absolutely love Dr Lewinns Hand and nail cream, this is my first ever product I have tryed of this range. I thought for a hand and nail creme it was quite expensive, but after using omg I totally understand. It was very gentle on my skin and felt amazing while rubbing in. it instantly hydrated my skin and made them feel amazing. I found after one month of using it did make my nails look amazing,a slight pinkish look and lines in my hands that were there from my excema had vanished. Love the product so in lust with it

Excellent at hydrating

I received this in the BBBE We Love Nails Box and was thrilled to have it in the heart of winter when my hands dry out a lot. It really is one of the richest, most hydrating hand creams i have used and seemed to absorb speedily, which I like. It didn't make my hands feel too greasy either - a feeling I can't stand - but just soft and smooth for a lot of the day. Many hand creams wear off quickly, but this one didn't. I wasn't overly fond of the mild scent, but that was nothing major. The only reason I've given one less star for a couple of these is the price - it's quite a lot for a handcream (well it's a nail cream too, but I'm blessed with pretty good solid nails, so can't comment on how much difference it made to those!), but it does perform well nevertheless. If you're prepared to pay the outlay it's probably worth it.

Soft and Hydrated Hands and Nails

This is only the second Dr Lewinns product I’ve tried and I loved the first one, so assumed this hand and nail cream would be just as good. And it is.

It comes in an easy to use flip top tube, that is white with the Dr lewinns branding.

The product is a somewhat waxy white cream. It applies easily and is absorbed quickly into my skin, leaving a waxy feel o the surface, that makes me feel like it has left a barrier to help protect my skin.

It has a gorgeous, fresh, flowery, scent that I really like, and which lingers for ages after application. I like that it has aloe vera, and vitamins A, B, and E, to help soften my skin and nails and provide some strengthening nutrients.

The product claim is that it will nourish and soften, and it does.

At $29.99 it seems a little pricey for a hand cream, and there are some great hand creams much cheaper on the market, however this is real quality and worth the extra money for anyone who is happy to pay a little more for a quality product.

Tips: Massage into your hands and nails several times per day - the feel and smell will reward you.

Winning Hands down.

Another great Dr Lewinns product. Lovely smell, quite soft and not overpowering. a little goes a long way & lasts several hours, including light washes. The cream is not too thick, but it is not watery either - just right in my opinion.

I'm not sure I would pay nearly $30 for it, however it is a lot better than many many other hand creams out there & it has the added benefit of also helping your nails.

Im the same with you too, I thought it was way to expensive for a hand and nail cream but after using the product I was happy with my results.

Fantastic hand cream

The hand cream comes packaged beautifully in a white and silver elegant box. The hand cream itself is in a generously sized white and silver tube. The packaging looks and feels luxurious. The hand cream is a pale pink in colour with a light perfumy scent.

The hand cream is very thick and feels very luxurious. I found a little of this went a long way, unlike other hand creams which I tend to go through very quickly. This did an amazing job. I have very dry hands and I found this left my hands feeling incredibly soft and I only had to use it once a day, whereas I would use other hand creams several times a day. Since I began using this, I've often had people compliment me on my soft hands, so I can definitely confirm this works. I loved that this wasn't a greasy hand cream. It absorbed very quickly and you could go about and do day to day things without worrying about greasy hands. I do think however that there are other hand creams that do just as well for a quarter of the price, but if you can afford the luxury of this had cream, I'd definitely recommend this.

Great hand cream!

It comes in very sleek white packaging and looks very high end! It has simple black writing on it and looks great in general. There is hardly any scent to the product which I like.

The product itself is light pink - which I did not expect! It's more on the liquid side but is still easy to dispense and isn't messy. It makes for easy application.

It's moisturising but non-greasy which is perfect for me! I do find that it doesn't keep hands moisturised for a very long time and you constantly have to reapply.

I do love that it absorbs instantly and allows me to continue on with my activities. My hands definitely feel a lot softer and more supple though. I've still got a lot of product left so won't repurchase just yet, but I definitely would in the future. It's a great luxury product that I can actually afford to use on a daily basis.

Love it

I got this hand cream in the nail beauty box and I love it! It makes my hands feel softer than they ever have and helps my poor damaged cuticles out heaps. It's smooth and rubs in easily. Only slightly scented and the packaging looks really nice and sleek. All in all I love this and I'll definitely be getting it again.

Excellent Quality

I was thrilled to receive this great quality hand cream in the ‘We love nails’ BBBE, as it’s the type of product that’s great for everyone to have, and ordinarily I wouldn’t consider a spending $30 on a hand cream.

This is quite a large tube for a hand cream, being 100grams it should last a while. The tube is clean and sophisticated looking, and is very controlled in the way that it dispenses the cream.

The cream is thick and has a soft soapy scent to it. It’s absorbs reasonably quickly and is very nourishing, instantly softening, smoothing and soothing hands. Given that it contains aloe, and vitamins A & E, it’s got to be great for your skin.

This is the first product that I’ve tried from the Dr. Lewinn’s brand, and considering how much I like this hand cream, I’m keen to try more products from this brand.
