Tis not often I rave about a makeup remover but this one is the bees knees. I've tried the micellar water, oil removers, remover balms but nothing has cut the mustard until I discovered this.
The first thing that caught my eye was the white vs the blue in the bottle. I picked up the package and shook it, and like a child I was enthralled with the two colors mixing and separating again. It was on special for maybe $5 so I bought it, and I've continued to repurchase every few months when I run out.
I moisten a cotton pad with this bottled magic and then I place the cotton on my eye for a few seconds before gently wiping the mascara off. I usually do 3 to 4 wipes, flip the pad and do a final wipe and also a wipe under my eyes to get the smudged stuff.
For lips I moisten a cotton pad and just rub it over my lips until no color is left, then I flip it again and do a final wipe. I've not noticed an invasive smell and it's very gentle which makes me happy. I will gladly keep buying this stuff !
Once upon a time I bought a waterproof mascara that was so waterproof that nothing would get rid of it properly. Micellar water didn't touch it, jojoba oil seemed to turn it into flakes and needing a lot of rubbing. After hunting high and low I found this: Maybelline Make up remover for lips and eyes. Wow! This stuff takes off any and every waterproof eye product, and long last staining lipstick it's great.
The bottle packaging has been updated since this photo. It ranges in price, depending where you find it, from $6 to $6. When I see it on sale I grab a bottle or 2 so I never run out. I'm not sure what all the ingredients are, but as Shaz mentioned, there is a sort of oily layer and a watery layer. You have to give it a good shake and then apply with a cotton pad or such like. While you're using it, keep shaking it, as the mixture seperates quickly, The formula has little to no smell and even though it's highly effective, my sensitive skin has no reaction - I expected to be allergic to something blue and oily! But it's as gentle as micellar water. I pretty much stopped using micellar after I found this, and the go-to jojoba oil just sits there waiting. Highly recommended
Tips: Shake it baby, shake it!
