I was going through an Avon phase thanks to a friend recently becoming a rep for the company and so to support her I did a bit of a big order and this was the foundation that leapt up from the brochure as one that I needed to give a try.
Claiming to renew skin, giving it a more youthful appearance by firming and lifting. Now, that is what I want, after self-guessing my colour match which I have become somewhat an expert at after so many years as a makeup addict and also a pro artist. Happy with the shade it came in, however it was very quick to oxidise turning a more caramel orange tone before my eyes and making my pale face look like a mask of makeup, which was very disappointing but accepting that this happens I was able to adapt how I applied and how quickly I blended and set the foundation to prevent it reacting too badly and after a couple of attempts I was able to get a good match that stayed in place without going darker for the duration of the day. However, the claims that it was going to give my face some youthful quality was a little far-fetched and in fact I noticed that it looked heavy and sank into my fine lines, making them even more noticeable than when I just use a sheer foundation or BB cream for day to day use. Which was a little disappointing and took a fair bit of concealing to adjust and get it looking nice. It also clung to dry patches of my skin and in general felt uncomfortable.
After giving it a good shot it fell into the back of my makeup drawer and is still in there to this day untouched and unloved.
