L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Shampoo Review

After battling frizz, a huge curly mop and straightening my whole life, this really has changed everything.

My hair takes much less time to blow dry, when I come out of the shower it is soft and silky and not dry at all.

It tangles less, smells good and the bottles last a good length of time especially given on sale you can pick this up so cheap!

Would recommend over and over again to anyone like me who finds hair styling such a chore!

I was stoked to pick this up in the Beauty Vault. It holds 250ml of shampoo and I like the golden colours of the packaging.

The shampoo reminds me of runny honey, it smells devine, really fresh and a bit fruity. It lathers well in my hair and rinses out easily. I like that it doesn't leave my hair feeling dry and like straw.

My hair feels clean and lovely and soft. It does a great job at removing any hair products I have used. It significantly reduces my frizz! My hair feels smooth and soft.

A lovely supermarket shampoo which I am quite impressed with. I would purchase this again and perhaps pair it with the matching conditioner.

This product is amazing for my frizzy uncontrollable mass of thick hair, it smells wonderful you don't need too much product and it does wonders for my hair I can highly recommend this product especially to people with lots of thick prone to frizz hair.

I picked this up un the vault, used it, forgot to review it and then when the next vault came along picked it up again as I needed some more shampoo and conditioner and to do my review.

It has a clear orange bottle in the same style of all the other Elvives, I like the flat head so I can stand it on it when it gets to the end of the bottle. This is a clear orange liquid that that foams easily when in contact with a combination of hair and water. I didn't notice much difference to my frizz for this. It did clean my hair nicely, no leaving it like straw, stripped of all oils or no clean at all. There didn't seem to be any weighing down of my hair either. On occasion I would skip the conditioner and use just the shampoo only, while my hair was soft it wasn't as soft as with the conditioner. Rebuy chance is more than likely.

I have been using L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Shampoo & Conditioner for the past week and a bit, and i must admit it hasnt overly let me down. While the shampoo is a clear liquid, it definitely contains a lot of oils and I find it has a slightly heavy feeling. Don’t take that as a bad thing, as it’s really not meant for my hair type. Even so, I’ve continued using it as it makes my hair look very sleek and shiny. I honestly believe it would be best for frizzy, flyaway dry hair types. In my case (fine, straight hair that constantly gets oily) I need to freshen my roots with dry shampoo after I style it for it to not look too limp.The conditioner is great for nourishing and taming my drier ends – it reminds me more of a treatment mask than a conditioner. Lastly, they smell is just amazing. The Extraordinary oil scent is a slightly soapy floral, which strikes a perfect balance between fresh and perfumed which lasts all day.

I'd noticed that this shampoo (and conditioner) had received pretty good reviews here on BR before deciding to give it a go, which was a motivator. However i'm not at all impressed.

My roots get pretty oily, and they're starting to get oily again too soon after washing with this shampoo. Usually I would wash my hair every 3-5 days, but with this shampoo I feel like it needs to be washed every 2nd day. It does initially after washing however, make the top half of my hair look and feel reasonably smooth. This is a pleasant enough shampoo to use, it has a sweet fruity scent, kind of like apple.

I'm not a fan of this shampoo as I don't like to wash my hair so often because the lengths are very dry and damaged. Also I like the matching conditioner even less.. So i'm a bit disappointed with these, but there are some other shampoos & conditioners from the L'oreal Elvive range that I do really like.

I hate to admit it, but yes, I'm a beauty snob. I like to buy expensive products because I like to feel like I'm treating myself. But what do you do when you find a product like this? You succumb!

My hair is dry and frizzy, exacerbated by the fact I dye it blonde. When I used this I noticed an immediate improvement - when I got out of the shower my hair felt soft and silky. For once I didn't feel the need to add any oils or other care products after my wash.

I hate to admit it, but this supermarket product is very effective - and very easy on the wallet!

I have been using the Elvive serum for years now and love it. So when I was looking for a cheapy S&C in the supermarket to use in between washing with my expensive purple shampoo I thought id give this a try (along with the same conditioner)

I have salon dyed blonde wavy/curly hair and I heat style it every day + always dry it with a hair dryer which of course means its frizzy too, so this should ideally be a good match. Really easy bottle to use (almost too much comes out it you squeeze too hard, so be careful) and its in an unmistakably bright orange bottle (which is great cause hubby then knows which one to use!)

After washing my hair with it, my hair feels really clean. I always wash my hair twice with shampoo before I use conditioner. Always make sure you get a good lather happening :)

I find my hair is not dry at all after shampooing (like I've had with many others) and it removes any product build up and oiliness. I either follow with the same conditioner or use one of my treatment ones.

Overall I would defiantly purchase this again, but don't expect not to have to use a hair product after washing your hair, like serum or hair cremes to get rid of those flyaways if you have hair like mine. I do think this helps calm my fro' so for the price its worth considering to t.

I picked this bottle up in the last beauty vault. I had just run out of my current shampoo and I needed a replacement. My hair type is dry from straightening and colouring. What got my interest was that it claims to help dry hair. So when I got this I was very happy to try this out.

These golden bottles come in small but decent sized bottles. The formula of this is like any normal shampoo. Looks like golden honey in a bottle. This scent reminds me of a mild musky tones. It feels like liquid soap.

When I apply this to my hair it lathers up well. I need a decent sized amount to use because my hair is so thick and damaged. I like to follow this up with a conditioner. I like to wash my hair twice a week with this or more dependent on what I am doing.

My hair felt very clean after use. I didn't experience a heavy oily feel like others I have tried. I noticed my hair is shiny but my ends were still dry. I think it is affordable when it is on sale. I would definitely use it again. Its working good so far.
